ENVIRONMENTALLY-RESPONSIVE DYE-ACCUMULATED NANO PARTICLES AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING INTRACELLULAR ENVIRONMENT
An object of the invention is to provide an environmentally-responsive dye-accumulated nanoparticle for grasping an intracellular environment such as pH with respect to each cell. The invention provides an environmentally-responsive dye-accumulated nanoparticle, in which an environmentally-responsive dye is accumulated on the surface of, or inside a thermosetting resin particle, and which has an average particle diameter of 30 to 800 nm, wherein the accumulated amount of the environmentally-responsive dye is 200 to 10,000,000 molecules/particle. The environmentally-responsive dye has dependence on pH, or a Ca ion in terms of fluorescence intensity, and the thermosetting resin is a melamine resin.
ELECTROPHORESIS DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS
An electrophoresis device includes a first substrate and a second substrate that retain an electrophoretic dispersion liquid including charged particles and a dispersion medium, and a partition wall portion that partitions a gap between the first substrate and the second substrate into a plurality of cells, in which the partition wall portion includes a communicating portion that causes the adjacent cells to communicate with each other.
FUNCTIONAL PARTICLE PIGMENT
Provided is a functional particle pigment which can suitably be used as a coloring material for thermosensitive recording materials, inks for writing instruments, inks for stamps, inks for ink jet, inks for printing and the like and which is excellent in a chemical resistance without damaging prescribed performances such as a preservability, a light fastness, a coloring property and the like. The functional particle pigment described above includes, for example, a functional particle pigment containing at least a dye, wherein an outside of the pigment is coated with an olefin base resin.
Co-Topo-Polymeric Compositions, Devices and Systems for Controlling Threshold and Delay Activation Sensitivities
Co-topo-polymeric indicator compositions and methods for making and using the same are provided. Indicator compositions of the invention include a polymer and undergo a color change, which may be reversible or irreversible, in response to an applied stimulus, e.g., temperature. Aspects of methods of producing the compositions include setting a fluid co-topo-polymeric precursor composition into a solid product and then subjecting the solid product (either immediately or after a delay period) to polymerizing conditions to produce the desired indicator composition. Also provided are indicator devices that include the indicator compositions of the invention. The compositions of the invention find use in a variety of different applications.
