CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS IN A MOBILE AUTOMATION SYSTEM
A control method includes: storing, at a control server, respective identifiers for a plurality of sub-regions in a facility; for each sub-region identifier, a location of the sub-region in the facility and an operational constraint associated with a mobile automation apparatus; at the control server: obtaining a job definition indicating a set of the sub-region identifiers and a task; retrieving the locations and the operational constraints corresponding to the set of sub-region identifiers from the repository; allocating the set of sub-region identifiers to a plurality of subsets of sub-region identifiers, each subset having a shared common operational constraint; for each subset of sub-region identifiers, generating a task fragment containing the subset of sub-region identifiers, and the common operational constraint; and sending the task fragments and an identifier of the task to the mobile automation apparatus for performance of the task at each of the set of sub-region identifiers.
Method and device for processing media streams between a plurality of media terminals and a processing unit all connected to one another over a communication network
The media stream processing device between a plurality of media terminals (UA, UB, UC, UD) and a processing unit (UV) over a communication network. The processing unit (UV) is capable of sending a media stream transmission pause/resume command signal in the format of a RTP/RTCP real-time communication protocol or equivalent intended for at least one media terminal in response to a chosen event.
Dynamic allocation of a quota of consumer nodes connecting to a resource node of a peer-to-peer network
A method for dynamically allocating upload bandwidth to consumer nodes by a resource node that are communicatively connected by a channel-swarm in a peer-to-peer network. The method comprises periodically computing a dynamic quota value to determine a number of acceptable connections between the resource node and one or more of the consumer nodes connected by the channel-swarm; and allocating an available upload bandwidth to the one or more of the consumer nodes in the channel-swarm based on the computed dynamic quota value.
Delivering a customized service to a mobile device using a link
A method of delivering a user specific customized service to a mobile user device is disclosed. User specific customized service information is received over a first channel. An identifier for the user specific customized service is generated. A link is sent that includes the identifier of the user specific customized service over a second channel. The user specific customized service identifier is received. The user specific customized service over a third channel is sent.
Space shifting over forward satellite communication channels
A method for providing content from a first node to a second node using a satellite communications system includes receiving side information at a gateway in the satellite communications system. The side information may be transmitted from a subscriber terminal to the gateway via a first communication path that includes a satellite link. The method also includes determining at the gateway that the side information is associated with first content available at the first node, and determining at the gateway that second content is available from a source other than the first node. The method also includes generating output content using the second content and the side information. The output content may be substantially the same as the first content. The method also includes providing the output content to the second node via a second communication path that does not include the satellite link.
Methods and systems for encrypting data using object-based screens
A system and method is provided for encrypting data for secure storage or transport. The method includes identifying a first object comprising a string of binary values and a second object comprising a string of integers, and processing the first and second objects to generate a wave screen comprising a set of remapping instructions associated with a block map layout. For each data segment to be encrypted, the method includes positioning the bits of the data segment within the block map layout to generate a data map, and encrypting the data map by applying the wave screen to remap the positions of the bits within the block map layout in accordance with the set of remapping instructions. The encrypted data map is then stored or transported as a representation of the data segment.
Communication apparatus provided with network interfaces, control method therefor, and storage medium storing control program therefor
A communication apparatus is provided with network interfaces. A control unit provides an application programming interface for an application that runs on the communication apparatus. A transmission unit transmits a search packet via the respective network interfaces in response to a request from the application. A reception unit receives a response packet in response to the search packet that the transmission unit transmits. A first determination unit determines whether the information showing a transmitting source of the response packet that the reception unit received is stored in a storage unit. The control unit stores the information showing the transmitting source of the response packet received into the storage unit and transfers the response packet received to the application, when the first determination unit determines that the information showing the transmitting source of the response packet received is not stored in the storage unit.
Selective multiple-media access control
A communication system and method includes receiving payload data of first and second media access control (MAC) frames. A MAC-level protocol is identified in response to the indication of the selected network for each of the first and second MAC frames. The payload data of the first and second MAC frames is transmitted and/or received across respective networks transmitted using, for example, power line communications signals over a common communications medium. The common communications medium is operable for carrying signals of a plurality of networks.
Organic light-emitting device for lighting
The present invention relates to an organic light-emitting device for lighting, and more specifically relates to an organic light-emitting device for lighting whereby it is possible to achieve excellent brightness by increasing the light-emitting area per unit area of an organic light-emitting element. For this purpose, the present invention provides an organic light-emitting device comprising: a first substrate and a second substrate disposed facing each other; a frame section which is formed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and is formed on the periphery of the first substrate and the second substrate so as to hermetically close the space between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a flexible organic light-emitting element which is disposed inside of the space, and of which at least one part has a curved surface.
Systems and methods for proactively recommending input/output redirection using management controller
In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, an information handling system may include a plurality of information handling resources a controller communicatively coupled to the plurality of information handling resources, and a software-based controller. The controller may be configured to monitor for environmental factors associated with the plurality of information handling resources, calculate a health ranking of the plurality of information handling resources based on the environmental factors, and communicate the health ranking to a software-based controller for managing communication to the information handling resources. The software-based controller may include executable instructions configured to, when read and executed by a processor, redirect communication associated with the plurality of information handling resources based on the health ranking.
