System for decreasing energy usage of a transparent LCD display case
An apparatus for controlling a backlight is disclosed. The apparatus includes a housing and door. A transparent liquid crystal display and associated backlight is positioned between front and rear glass panels of said door. A door sensor is positioned to detect if the door is open or shut, and a controller connected to the backlight and door sensor measures the amount of time that has passed between door openings and drives the backlight at various levels based upon the elapsed time.
Lighting system and method for controlling lighting system
A lighting system includes: a lighting device; a lighting controller; and a system controller. The system controller includes: a timer; a schedule storage for storing schedule information; a first communication circuit; and an instruction controller which causes a first communication circuit to transmit control information which includes an instruction associated with time indicated by a counter value. The lighting controller includes: a sensor which detects a person in a space where the lighting device is disposed, and brightness of the space; a second communication circuit; and a dimming controller which switches to one of modes that is indicated in the control information from another of the modes and executes the one of the modes, where the modes include (a) a human detection mode, (b) a brightness detection mode, and (c) a dimming level fixed mode.
Billiard table lighting and game play monitor
A billiard table top lighting apparatus provides substantially uniform lighting across the surface of a billiard table surface. The frame may support one or more cameras, one or more motion sensors, one or more microphones, and/or one or more computing devices to enable any of a variety of innovative features. Such features could include automatic game play recording from one or more perspectives, merged video track storage for replay, review, and analysis, automatic lighting and dimming control, control of the apparatus from any mobile device, automatic provision of a shot clock, and the like.
Modulation device, light emitting device, and light emission system
A modulation device includes a modulator circuit that causes a light source to perform light communication, storage storing an internal ID, and a control circuit that determines whether an external ID is input into the modulation device. When the control circuit determines that the external ID is input into the modulation device, the control circuit causes the input external ID to be input, as a modulation signal, into the modulator circuit. When the control circuit determines that the external ID is not input into the modulation device, the control circuit causes the internal ID stored in the storage to be input, as a modulation signal, into the modulator circuit.
Emergency light devices, systems, and methods
Emergency light devices, systems and methods that provide instant light in a power outage or other situations. One or more sensors monitor the flow of electricity, and when the flow of electricity is stopped or no longer present, an emergency light device power monitoring device instantly communicates via wireless communication technology to emergency light device(s) to instantly turn on the emergency light device(s). The emergency light device(s) can be a portable and/or permanent unit of varying shapes and sizes, and can be attached to any object, or may stand alone, with some or all of its parts being replaceable, interchangeable, or upgradeable.
Kit for illuminating a room
A kit for illuminating a room includes a two-part contact switch mounted on a top edge of an interior surface of the door and a door rail contact mounted on a door track railing where the corresponding top edge rests when the door is completely opened. The door contact switch and the door rail contact switch are electrically connected to the light strip and a power source via a power adapter, respectively. When the door is completely opened, a contact plate of the door rail contact switch receives a plurality of spring-loaded contacts protruding from the door contact switch that completes a circuit, powers the light strip, in turn, illuminating the room.
Smart lighting by outdoor wall-mounted or ceiling mounted light fixtures and/or connected light bulbs
An apparatus comprising a communication circuit and a processing circuit. The communication circuit may be configured to connect to a network based on a communications protocol. The processing circuit may be configured to control a light based on a pre-defined condition. The processing circuit may determine a location of the apparatus based on an identifier. The processing circuit may synchronize to a universal clock via the network. The processing circuit may determine a local time based on (a) the universal clock and (b) the location, both received from a device connected to the apparatus through the network. The processing circuit may receive input from the device. The processing circuit may calculate the pre-defined condition based on (a) the local time and (b) the input from the device. The processing circuit may determine whether the pre-defined condition has been met.
Toilet seat lighting apparatus
A toilet seat lighting apparatus 10 is provided so that and individual can enter a bathroom at night to use the toilet 12 which provides light and allows the user to determine if the toilet seat 20 is up or down without turning on the bathroom light. The apparatus is provided with a motion sensor circuit 30 which detects motion when an individual enters the bathroom and a pressure sensor circuit 40 which is activated by the motion sensor circuit. Once the pressure sensor circuit 40 is activated it will activate switch 72 which in turn will illuminate a red light 26 to indicate the toilet seat 20 is down or a green light 28 to indicate the seat 20 is up.
LIGHTING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REGISTERING LIGHTING DEVICE
Disclosed are a lighting system and a method for registering a lighting device. The embodiments of the present invention comprise: a lighting device which is provided with a short-range communication module and comprises a plurality of light-emitting units; a lighting registration device which is provided with a short-range communication module and an IR communication module and registers the lighting device on the basis of the light-emitting patterns of the light-emitting units; and a lighting switch which is provided with a short-range communication module, binds with the lighting device by receiving, from the lighting registration device, an ID corresponding to the light-emitting patterns of the light-emitting units, and controls the operation of the lighting device. Further, when power is supplied to the lighting device, the lighting registration device recognizes the light-emitting patterns of the light-emitting units and registers the lighting device with an ID corresponding to the recognized light-emitting patterns.
