LIGHT EMITTING DIODE CONTROL CIRCUIT WITH WIDE RANGE INPUT VOLTAGE

A light emitting diode (LED) control circuit includes an inductor current sense circuit with a high-side diode string, a low-side diode string, and a sense resistor in series with and between the high-side and low side diode strings. The LED control circuit receives an input voltage on an end that connects to the high-side diode string. An end of the low-side diode string is connected to a switch through an inductor. A sense voltage developed on the sense resistor by an inductor current is sensed by a controller integrated circuit (IC). A pin of the controller IC that receives the sense voltage can have a breakdown voltage specification that is lower than the input voltage.

MULTIPLE LINEAR REGULATION

A circuit comprises an amplifier and a plurality of channels, the plurality of channels including respective transistors. The respective transistors of the channels control respective magnitudes of respective currents of the channels according to an output of the amplifier. The respective transistors of the plurality of channels may be included in an auto-commutated circuit. A first Light Emitting Diode (LED) circuit may be coupled between a power source and a first channel of the plurality of channels. A second LED circuit may be coupled between the first channel and a second channel of the plurality of LED channels. The power source may provide rectified Alternating Current (AC).

The switching regulator includes a buck power stage circuit and a control circuit. The control circuit includes an operation signal generation circuit and a current source circuit for reducing current ripple. The current source circuit is coupled to the operation signal generation circuit and the buck power stage circuit, for operating a ripple reduction switch therein according to an operation signal, to convert the output voltage to a load voltage between a load node and a reference node, and to reduce a current ripple of the output current, so as to generate a load current which is supplied to a load circuit, wherein the load circuit is coupled between the load node and the reference node, and the current source circuit is coupled between the output node and the load node.

LED DRIVING DEVICE

A LED driving device is provided, which includes a LED string including at least one LED element, at least one channel connected to the at least one LED element, a current regulator configured to regulate a current flowing through the at least one channel according to at least one corresponding control voltage, and a control signal generating circuit configured to generate a control signal based on a difference between a reference voltage and a comparative voltage. The comparative voltage is determined based on a sensing voltage, and the sensing voltage corresponds to an LED current flowing through the LED string. The control signal generating circuit is further configured to generate the at least one corresponding control voltage based on the control signal.

Lighting Control System

A lighting control system of the type including an electronic device with a processor, memory, wireless communication capability and a user interface may be used. A controller may be used with a receiver to receive wireless communication from the electronic device and an output terminal with at least one lighting array in electrical communication with the output terminal of the controller. A power supply may be provided in electrical communication with the controller thereby providing electrical power to the controller and the lighting array. Software on the electrical device may be used providing a graphical interface with a user to actuate the controller to provide an electrical output to the lighting array. The combination may be placed on a building, vehicle or any object to allow a plurality of lighting themes and palettes. Music may also be used to control the lighting output as well as speed or acceleration.

LIGHT EMITTING DIODE CONTROL CIRCUIT WITH HYSTERETIC CONTROL AND LOW-SIDE OUTPUT CURRENT SENSING

An LED control circuit controls a switching operation of a switch by hysteretic control. The LED control circuit includes a controller integrated circuit (IC) that senses a current sense voltage from a current sense resistor that is on a low-side of the switch. The LED control circuit senses the current sense voltage during on-time of the switch to determine when to turn off the switch. During off-time of the switch, the controller IC determines when to turn on the switch by comparing a sawtooth voltage to a turn-on threshold that is generated from the on-time of the switch.
