METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR MANAGING SPECTRUM ALLOCATION IN WIRELESS NETWORKS
20220400487 · 2022-12-15 ·

Methods and apparatus for managing spectrum in a wireless communications system. In an exemplary method embodiment, a wireless base station: (i) receives user equipment capability information from a first user equipment device; (ii) determines whether to allocate licensed or unlicensed spectrum to the first user equipment device based on the received user equipment capability information; and (iii) communicates a first spectrum allocation grant to the first user equipment device identifying the allocated spectrum for use by the first user equipment device. In various embodiments, the licensed and unlicensed spectrum are divided into bandwidth parts that are scored or ranked based on the quality and/or quantity of the spectrum bandwidth part.

Method and apparatus for reporting channel state information

A channel state information request requesting a device to feedback channel state information can be received. Whether the channel state information request corresponds to regular latency based operation or reduced latency based operation can be determined. Channel state information can be derived based on a first reference resource when the channel state information request corresponds to regular latency based operation. Channel state information can be derived based on a second reference resource when the channel state information request corresponds to reduced latency based operation. The reduced latency based operation can have a latency less than the regular latency based operation. The derived channel state information can be reported to a network.

FULL DUPLEX SIDELINK UE INDICATION OF SELECTED SIDELINK RESOURCES FOR OVERCOMING SELF-INTERFERENCE

Aspects of the present disclosure include methods and devices for informing a base station of autonomously selected SL resources to allow the base station to adjust the DL transmission to mitigate the degradation of the reception of a DL transmission due to self-interference that overlaps with a SL transmission. A device may be configured to select resources for a SL transmission and to transmit, in an UL transmission to a base station, an indication of the resources selected for the SL transmission. A base station may be configured to receive, in an UL transmission, an indication of resources selected for a SL transmission from a UE, and to transmit, based on the indication of the resources selected for the SL transmission, at least one DL transmission that overlaps in time with the SL transmission.

Signaling details for PRS stitching for positioning in a wireless network

A wireless entity, such as a user equipment (UE) or transmission reception point (TRP), receives and processes aggregated positioning reference signals (PRS) to increase the effective PRS bandwidth, thereby increasing positioning accuracy, such as time of arrival measurements. An aggregated PRS includes one or more PRS components that are transmitted from a same transmitting entity. Each PRS component may be, e.g., a separate PRS resource associated with a contiguous frequency-domain bandwidth or may be, e.g., a plurality of frequency-domain bandwidths spanned by a single PRS resource. PRS components of an aggregated PRS that are unpunctured, e.g., do not collide with higher priority signals, are aligned in time domain, and are configured with common constraints are processed jointly assuming that the PRS components are transmitted from a same antenna port, thereby increasing the effective PRS bandwidth.

Beam failure recovery method and device

A beam failure recovery method and device are provided. The method includes: after a beam failure event or a beam failure recovery event is triggered, monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scrambled with a C-RNTI in a first CORESET for beam failure recovery; and/or monitoring a PDCCH scrambled with a C-RNTI in a second CORESET, where resources corresponding to the first CORESET are different from resources corresponding to the second CORESET.

CONTROL RESOURCE ALLOCATION METHOD, APPARATUS, ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

A control resource allocation method, an apparatus, an electronic device, and at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium are provided. The method includes identifying resource usage status information for the first period, and determining control resource set (CORESET) time-frequency resources and uplink/downlink (UL/DL) control channel element (CCE) patterns for the first period, based on the resource usage status information.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING AND INDICATING ANTENNA PORTS WITH CONFIGURABLE ANTENNA PORT FIELD IN DCI

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for determining and indicating antenna ports in Downlink Control Information (DCI). In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device comprises receiving a configuration comprising a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) configuration and an antenna port field configuration for an antenna port field in a Downlink Control Information (DCI) format. The method further comprises receiving a DCI of the DCI format and determining a size of an antenna port field and a DMRS port table for interpreting a value comprised in the antenna port field based on the DMRS and antenna port field configurations, the determined DMRS port table being a subset of a master DMRS port table. The method further comprises determining a DMRS port(s) used for a corresponding physical channel based on the size of the antenna port field, the DMRS port table, and/or the value of the antenna port field.

Apparatus and method using a decentralized game approach for radio and computing resource allocation in co-located edge computing

The present disclosure relates to a technical idea for managing radio and computing resources in coexistence edge computing. A method of allocating radio and computing resources in coexistence edge computing according to one embodiment may include a step of formulating a resource allocation problem for two different entities with conflicting relationships in minimizing latency as a generalized Nash equilibrium problem (GNEP), a step of converting the formulated GNEP into a Nash equilibrium problem (NEP), and a step of allocating resources on a penalty basis for the converted NEP.

Utilization of Inter-UE Coordination Message

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for utilization of an iner-UE coordination message. A UE may receive, from a first UE, an inter-UE coordination message. The inter-UE coordination message may include an indication of a set of resources and an indication of whether the set of resources are preferred resources or non-preferred resources. The UE may be configured to select resources for sidelink communications based on the set of resources indicated in the inter-UE coordination message. The UE may perform differing selection processes based on the set of resources indicated in the inter-UE coordination message. The UE may perform a first process and/or set of processes when the set of resources are indicated as non-preferred and a second process and/or set of processes when the set of resources are indicated as preferred.
