COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT IN A SOCIAL NETWORKING ENVIRONMENT

Disclosed aspects relate to communication management in a social networking environment. A source communication with respect to a topic may be received by the social networking environment. In response to receiving the source communication, a response communication by a first user may be detected. The response communication may relate to the topic. Using a set of topic expertise data for the first user with respect to the topic, a trust factor for the user with respect to the topic may be determined. Based on the trust factor, a communication arrangement may be established in the social networking environment.

Adaptive virtualization of a networked-resource between a vehicle and a peripheral device

A transportation-vehicle system including a processing hardware unit and a non-transitory computer-readable storage device comprising code causing the processing hardware unit to receive, from a mobile-electronic device, a mobile-device resource profile indicating a mobile-device resource, determine whether to use the mobile-device resource, and use the mobile-device resource in operation of the transportation-vehicle system. In another aspect, the technology relates to a mobile-electronic device including a non-transitory computer-readable storage device comprising code causing the processing unit to receive, from a transportation-vehicle system, a vehicle resource profile indicating a vehicle resource, determine whether to use the vehicle resource, and use the vehicle resource of the transportation-vehicle system in operation of the mobile-electronic device.

MENU GENERATION SYSTEM

A menu generation system including a menu item information storage that stores menu information for each restaurant, a menu item property master storage that stores menu item properties including at least any one set of a plurality of ingredients that are used in menu items, a plurality of seasonings that are used in the menu items or a plurality of cooking styles of the menu items, processing circuitry that receives a request to edit a menu item property in the first language, consults the menu item property master storage, extracts choices of menu item properties, causes the extracted choices to be displayed, and receives input of a selected choice from among the displayed choices.

MULTISENSORY INTERFACE CONTROL METHOD, MULTISENSORY INTERFACE CONTROL APPARATUS, AND MULTISENSORY INTERFACE SYSTEM

A multisensory interface control method for a multisensory interface that includes a plurality of information transmission channels, each of which performing information transmission by utilizing one or a plurality of five senses is provided. The multisensory interface control method includes: estimating a user status indicating at least one of an emotional status and an attentional status of a user; setting weightings each of which indicates a degree of importance of a corresponding information transmission channel in accordance with the user status estimated; and changing allocations of a plurality of sets of partial content that configure content transmitted via the multisensory interface, the allocations changed in accordance with the weightings.

An object of the present invention is multilingual translation with a low cost and high degree of accuracy. A multilingual translation device includes a translation request acquiring part that acquires a translation request to translate a character string to be translated of a first language into a second language, a character string extraction part that extracts, when a character string data of a second language is not stored in other language DB, a translation source character string corresponding to the character string to be translated from the other language DB for each of a plurality of languages whose character string data is stored in the other language DB, a translation part that translates the translation source character string into a third character string of the second language using a translation server, and a translation result selection part that selects a translation result from the third character string.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DYNAMICALLY GENERATING MULTIMEDIA CONTENT FILE

Disclosed herein is a method and system for dynamically generating multimedia content file. The method comprises receiving, by a multimedia content generator, description of an event from a user. The method comprises identifying one or more keywords from the description of the event. Further, the method comprises mapping the one or more identified keywords with one or more images, related to one or more objects, stored in a content database for generating one or more scenes related to the description. An initial-level multimedia content file is generated by composing the one or more scenes. Furthermore the method comprises receiving one or more inputs on the initial-level multimedia content file from the user. Finally, a final-level multimedia content file is generated based on the one or more inputs received on the initial-level multimedia content file.

TEXTUAL EMOTION DETECTION

A method may include receiving a textual input. Topics associated with the textual input and top words associated with each of the topics may be generated by way of Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling. Relevance weights may be generated for each emotion associated with the topics generated by the LDA topic modeling. Emotion weights associated with the textual input may be output. The emotion weights may be based, at least in part, on the relevance weights.

METHODS, SYSTEMS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR FACILITATING USER INTERACTION WITH TAX RETURN PREPARATION PROGRAMS

A system for facilitating user interaction with a tax return preparation program includes a completion graph parser configured to identify a portion of a tax return completion graph corresponding to a tax topic. The system also includes a query object creator configured to analyze and assign a node in the portion as a query object property. The system further includes a natural language synthesis engine configured to map the property to a first natural language question. Moreover, the system includes a natural language analysis engine configured to analyze user input and to identify a characteristic that maps to the property based on the user input. In addition, the system includes a runner interface configured to modify the query object based on the characteristic, update the tax return completion graph based on the modified query object, and analyze the updated tax return completion graph to determine whether it is complete.

On-demand language translation for television programs

In an embodiment, a method of providing an on demand translation service is provided. A subscriber may be charged a reduced fee or no fee for use of the on demand translation service in exchange for displaying commercial messages to the subscriber, the commercial messages being selected based on subscriber information. A multimedia signal including information in a source language may be received. The information may be obtained as text in the source language from the multimedia signal. The text may be translated from the source language to a target language. Translated information, based on the translated text, may be transmitted to a processing device for presentation to the subscriber. The received multimedia signal may be sent to a multimedia device for viewing.
