Anaphora resolution for semantic tagging
A semantic tagging method may add context to a sentence in order to increase search efficiency. Regardless of an author's writing style, translating semantic concepts into tags may increase search efficiency. Automatic semantic tagging of documents may allow semantic search and reasoning. Text for semantic tagging may include an email, a website chat room, an internet forum, or a text message. Additional texts may include aggregating general consensus of an emailed topic across multiple emails, whether in the same email chain or separate emails. To increase search efficiency, the analysis of prior communications within the body of text may comprise analyzing structured contextual information to facilitate with homophora resolution. The structured contextual information may include at least one of a sender email address, one or more recipient email addresses, a subject field, a message date and time stamp, and an attachment title.
System and method for encoding standard-formatted images with information
System and method for displaying an encoded standard-formatted image with information including, but not limited to, geospatial information. This information, possibly in mark-up language format, can be quickly accessed and used to modify the image to which it is appended, or it can be ignored because the image itself remains unchanged.
Translating application resources
According to one general aspect a system includes an identification module, a translation module, and a display module. The identification module being configured to identify when an application running within the system attempts to display a work to a user of the application in a first language. The translation module being configured to translate the word from the first language to a second language different than the first language. The display module being configured to display the word in the second language to the user.
Voice-based input using natural language processing for interfacing with one or more devices
Aspects of the present invention provide a more universal, easy, natural, and vendor-agnostic interface to configure, manage, and/or monitor devices in networks. In embodiments, a user-friendly natural language interface voice interface may be used to “live chat” with one or more devices. In embodiments, a natural language input from a user intended for a target device is received and converted into one or more properly formed commands that are target-specific for the target device and may be executed by the target device. In embodiments, results from the execution of the one or more commands may be appropriately formatted for presentation to the user.
Translating terms using numeric representations
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for translating terms using numeric representations. One of the methods includes obtaining data that associates each term in a vocabulary of terms in a first language with a respective high-dimensional representation of the term; obtaining data that associates each term in a vocabulary of terms in a second language with a respective high-dimensional representation of the term; receiving a first language term; and determining a translation into the second language of the first language term from the high-dimensional representation of the first language term and the high-dimensional representations of terms in the vocabulary of terms in the second language.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FORMATTING A MANUSCRIPT AUTOMATICALLY
System, method and apparatuses of the present invention directed to a paradigm of manuscript generation and manipulation from a source textual document, involving a first format, into another document in a second format. A converter converts scenes, dialogue, milieus, movements, actions and other instructions input or stored in a first format into a second, different format, and vice versa.
Compcuter Implemented machine translation apparatus and machine translation method
A machine translation apparatus 230 capable of appropriately translating source sentences differently in accordance with information exceeding the scope of source sentences includes: a grammatical type determining unit 282 for identifying grammatical type of a source sentence; a grammatical-type-based tagging unit 286 for adding first and second tags corresponding to the grammatical type to head and tail positions of the source sentence, respectively; and a phrase-based statistical machine translation apparatus 288 configured to receive the source sentence having the first and second tags added. Different types are defined as grammatical types. The grammatical type determining unit 282 selects the first and second tags in accordance with the different grammatical types.
TECHNIQUES FOR UTILIZING A NATURAL LANGUAGE INTERFACE TO PERFORM DATA ANALYSIS AND RETRIEVAL
Techniques for utilizing a natural language interface to perform data analysis include receiving a natural language question for retrieving data stored in a database and interpreting the natural language question to generate a structured query for the database. The structured query is translated into a natural language representation of the structured query, which is displayed during execution of the structured query. Responsive data is received and one or more visualization types for presenting the responsive data to the user is determined based on the natural language question, the responsive data, and one or more data types of the data. A visualization of the responsive data is generated based on one visualization type of the determined visualization types, which is displayed in a card in a graphical user interface. The card can include the natural language representation of the structured query and the visualization of the responsive data.
Hybrid machine translation
A system and method for hybrid machine translation approach is based on a statistical transfer approach using statistical and linguistic features. The system and method may be used to translate from one language into another. The system may include at least one database, a rule based translation module, a statistical translation module and a hybrid machine translation engine. The database(s) store source and target text and rule based language models and statistical language models. The rule based translation module translates source text based on the rule based language models. The statistical translation module translates source text based on the statistical language models. A hybrid machine translation engine, having a maximum entropy algorithm, is coupled to the rule based translation module and the statistical translation module and is capable of translating source text into target text based on the rule based and statistical language models.
Personalized medical record
The present disclosure provides a method of producing a personalized medical record, comprising: sensing capabilities of a receiving device; retrieving stock information; retrieving personalized information; combining at least a portion of the stock information and at least a portion of the personalized information into the personalized record; formatting the personalized record based on a combination of the capabilities of the receiving device and a user's preference; and, transmitting the formatted personalized record to the device.
