An approach, performed by a device, for recommending at least one word to be input through a keyboard is provided. The approach displays the keyboard to be used to input at least one character or text on the device. The approach selects at least one language model. The approach recommends the at least one word related to at least one character or text inputted on the keyboard, based on the at least one inputted character or text and the at least one selected language model, in which the at least one selected language model comprises at least one of a language model based on demographic properties of a user of the device, a language model based on text input histories of the user of the device, and a language model based on a context in which the keyboard is executed.

According to various embodiments of the disclosure techniques for generating outgoing messages are disclosed. The technique includes receiving a request to generate an outgoing message for a recipient and retrieving one or more recipient preferences of the recipient from a recipient preferences database. The one or more recipient preferences relate to customization of messages that are to be delivered to the recipient. The technique further includes retrieving a message template from a plurality of message templates stored in a message template database based on the request and the one or more recipient preferences. The technique also includes generating the outgoing message based on the retrieved message template and the one or more recipient preferences, and providing the outgoing message to the recipient.

A method for machine translation, comprising receiving a source string in a source language, an indication of a target language, and user identification information. The method includes using the user identification information to identify at least one memory with user-specific translation data. The method includes tokenizing the source string, using at least one processor, to produce a tokenized source string comprising any unique temporary textual elements associated with corresponding target textual elements during tokenization. The method includes obtaining a translated string from a translator, the translated string being at least a partial translation of the tokenized source string and including all of the unique temporary textual elements. The method includes generating an output string using at least one processor, the generation comprising replacing all of the unique temporary textual elements in the translated string with the associated target textual elements.

System and method for providing follow-up responses to prior natural language inputs of a user

In certain implementations, follow-up responses may be provided for prior natural language inputs of a user. As an example, a natural language input associated with a user may be received at a computer system. A determination of whether information sufficient for providing an adequate response to the natural language input is currently accessible to the computer system may be effectuated. A first response to the natural language input (that indicates that a follow-up response will be provided) may be provided based on a determination that information sufficient for providing an adequate response to the natural language input is not currently accessible. Information sufficient for providing an adequate response to the natural language input may be received. A second response to the natural language input may then be provided based on the received sufficient information.
