Data communications network for an aircraft
A method for servicing multiple data queues in communication with a data communications network. The multiple data queues may receive data of differing priority and/or the data queues may be arranged for data with a predetermined priority. The data in the data queues may be serviced by the same processor. A schedule may be applied to the data in the data queues to control the servicing the data in the data queues.
CONTROL APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD AND CONTROL SYSTEM
A control apparatus including: a memory, and a processor coupled to the memory and the processor configured to: retain first packets in the memory, output the retained first packets to a processing apparatus including a packet processor, receive second packets processed by the packet processor from the processing apparatus, and control outputting of the retained first packets based on the outputted first packets and the received second packets.
CONTROL INFORMATION UTILIZATION METHOD AND APPARATUS OF TERMINAL IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A control information utilization method and an apparatus of a terminal with heterogenous technology communication modules operating in a same frequency band are provided to protect against unnecessary battery power consumption. A control information reception method of a terminal includes receiving control information from a base station using a first module, determining a channel occupancy time based on the control information using a licensed assisted access (LAA) radio identifier, and transferring the channel occupancy time to a second module that is operating in a same frequency band as the first module.
Method and apparatus for buffer status report in mobile communication system
A method and apparatus are provided for reporting a buffer status to a Node B, by a User Equipment (UE), in a mobile communication system. The method includes checking if a resource for data to be transmitted to the Node B is available, when there is a buffer status report triggered to be transmitted to the Node B; transmitting the buffer status report by using the available resource, if the resource is available; and transmitting a scheduling request to the Node B, if the resource has not been allocated for a predetermined time after the buffer status report is triggered.
System and method for credit-based link level flow control
A system and method for credit-based link level flow control. In one embodiment, a byte-based flow control mechanism is based on a sender effectively maintaining a buffer state at the receiver. In maintaining a buffer state at the receiver, the sender is provided with information regarding byte expansion at the receiver. This byte-expansion information can be used by the sender to identify the amount of additional storage needed by the receiver when storing a packet transmitted by the sender in the receiver's packet buffer.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND CONTENT REPRODUCTION METHOD CONTROLLED BY THE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device includes a communicator configured to receive content from an external device via a network; a display configured to display the received content while the content is being received by the communicator; a processor; and a memory storing one or more programs executable by the processor. The one or more programs include instructions for buffering the received content, comparing a status of the network with a bitrate of the content, and determining when to start reproducing the content based on a result of the comparing.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IMPLEMENTING AN ADAPTIVE COEXISTENCE SCHEME
A method and apparatus may include adapting transmission opportunities of the first network node. A radio-technology of the apparatus coexists with at least one other radio-access technology of a network node. The adapting may include adapting when the apparatus is able to perform transmissions. The method may also include transmitting in accordance with a transmitting period. The transmitting period corresponds to a time over which the apparatus is configured to perform transmitting and to be muted. The transmitting may include transmitting on an unlicensed carrier.
Method and system for rate adaption of HTTP stream media
A method and apparatus for rate adaption of HTTP stream media is disclosed in this invention. The method comprises: acquiring from a server a stream media with a selected video rate at a client adopting the TCP protocol at its transmission layer and the HTTP protocol at its application layer, wherein the selected video rate allows an amount of buffered data to be maintained in a predetermined range in a buffer for buffering the stream media under a current download rate speed. This invention may improve user experience.
CONTROLLING A CONGESTION WINDOW SIZE
A device may determine one or more round-trip time threshold values and may determine a round-trip time value associated with a flow. The device may determine a smoothed round-trip time value based on the one or more round-trip time threshold values and the round-trip time value. The device may determine a congestion window threshold value based on the smoothed round-trip time value and may determine a congestion window value based on the congestion window threshold value. The device may provide traffic associated with the flow based on the congestion window value.
Method and system for improving bandwidth allocation efficiency
Provided are a method and system for improving bandwidth allocation efficiency, relating to optical communication field. In a PON system, an ONU detects each TCONT of the ONU in real time, and sends to an OLT a private message used for reporting buffer overflow when detecting that buffer overflow occurs on a TCONT; the OLT sends, according to the received private message used for reporting the buffer overflow, to the ONU a private message used for instructing the ONU to activate an overflow allocation mechanism; after receiving the private message used for instructing the ONU to activate the overflow allocation mechanism, the ONU activates the overflow allocation mechanism, calculates an actual traffic of a buffer of the TCONT, and sends the actual traffic of the buffer of the TCONT to the OLT; and the OLT dynamically allocates bandwidth to the TCONT according to the actual traffic of the buffer of the TCONT.
