Laundry treating appliance with tumble pattern control
An apparatus and a method of operating a laundry treating appliance treating laundry according to a cycle of operation having by determining a parameter indicative of a change in packing density of the laundry in a treating chamber and taking an operating action based on the determined parameter.
CONDENSER TUMBLE DRYER COMPRISING A TEMPERATURE SENSOR, AND METHOD FOR THE OPERATION THEREOF
The invention relates to a condenser tumble dryer with a drum for articles to be dried, a drive motor for the drum, a process air duct, a process air blower, a heating and cooling system for the process air, a temperature sensor and a control device. The temperature sensor is an infrared telescope and is arranged to simultaneously measure heat radiation from at least two components of the condenser tumble dryer which are to be monitored. The invention also relates to a method for operating a condenser tumble dryer of said type.
Method for controlling a laundry dryer including a fan motor for driving a drying air stream fan with a variable speed
A method is provided for controlling a laundry dryer including a fan motor (26) for driving a drying air stream fan (18) with a variable speed (vf) and a drum motor (28) for driving a laundry drum (12). The method comprises the steps of setting a predetermined course for the speed (vd) of the drum motor (28), maintaining the speed (vd) of the drum motor (28) according to the predetermined course for the speed (vd) of said drum motor (28), detecting a power (Pd) or a current absorbed by the drum motor (28), and controlling the speed (vf) of the fan motor (26) on the basis of the absorbed power (Pd) or current of the drum motor (28). The speed (vf) of the fan motor (26) increases with a decreasing absorbed power (Pd) or current of the drum motor (28) and/or the speed (vf) of the fan motor (26) decreases with an increasing absorbed power (Pd) or current of the drum motor (28).
Clothes treating apparatus with detecting device for insertion of filter
A clothes treating apparatus includes a filter insertion detecting device that detects whether a filter has been inserted in the clothes treating apparatus. The filter insertion detecting device, which is installed in a clothes drying machine or the like, may be moved in response to insertion of a filter assembly to generate a contact signal that indicates insertion of the filter assembly.
Dryer using high frequency vibration
A dryer includes a plurality of piezoelectric transducers in electrical communication with a high frequency piezoelectric oscillation generator. The piezoelectric oscillation generator controls the duty cycle and resonant frequency source signal that drive the plurality of piezoelectric transducers non-continuously. The piezoelectric transducers dry the wet articles without heating air passing through the articles.
CUSTOMER SELECTION OF DESIRED REMAINING MOISTURE IN CLOTHING VIA USER INTERFACE AT MACHINE OR PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A method of controlling the clothes dryer includes offering one or more preset dryness levels that may be selected using a programmable dryness level selector to establish a drying cycle. Each of the preset dryness levels may correspond to a stored remaining moisture content. The method additionally includes sensing a remaining moisture content of a load of fabric in the clothes dryer and displaying the remaining moisture content of the load of fabric to a user. The method further includes automatically stopping the clothes dryer using a controller configured to determine when the remaining moisture content of the load of fabric reaches the selected preset dryness level. The one or more preset dryness levels may be customizable by saving a target remaining moisture content for each preset dryness level.
Self Laundry System
A self laundry system that enhances the convenience of a user is provided. When an operation command output control starts, in step S1, a server 30 associates a user terminal 51 and a laundry apparatus 20. In step S2, an identification signal is sent to the user terminal 51. After completing the charging in step S8, in step S9, the server 30 determines whether a lock the cover button 76 is touched. In step S11, the server 30 determines whether a window to be opaque button 77 is touched. Then, in step S13, the server 30 outputs an operation start command to the laundry apparatus 20, and ends an operation start command control. The laundry apparatus 20, to which the operation start command is inputted, starts operation in an operation mode selected by the user.
Household appliance with a user interface element
A household appliance (2) has a drawer (30), a user interface element (44) and a light group (50) having a plurality of light elements (54). The light elements (54) are disposed substantially peripherally with respect to the user interface element (44). The light group (50) is arranged on a side of the user interface element (44) opposite to the drawer (30).
Domestic clothes dryer and method for driving such dryers
A domestic clothes dryer comprises a rotating drum defining a drying chamber, an air inlet upstream the drum and at least a hollow lifter mounted in the drum, wherein said hollow lifter is in communication with the air inlet for distributing air inside the drum through a plurality of openings. The air inlet comprises a shaped air plenum chamber facing a lower portion of a rear perforated wall of the drum and capable of delivering air to said lifter and/or directly to the drum through said rear perforated wall.
ADAPTIVE GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE FOR APPLIANCE
A user interface includes a touch-sensitive display and a display control unit for controlling the display. A method for controlling a household appliance using the graphical user interface includes the steps of: displaying a first graphical representation on the display, the first graphical representation including symbols, each symbol being associated with an appliance subunit of the household appliance; when a symbol is touched by a touching means, transmitting control signals from the control unit to the display to change the first graphical representation into a second graphical representation; displaying information regarding a change of a setting value of the appliance entity associated with the touched symbol when the touching means is dragged from a first position to a second position at the display; and changing the graphical representation at the display from the second graphical representation to a third graphical representation when lifting the touching means from the display.
