METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CO-OPERATIVE ON-PATH AND OFF-PATH CACHING POLICY FOR INFORMATION CENTRIC NETWORKS
A method and a system is disclosed herein for co-operative on-path and off-path caching policy for information centric networks (ICN). In an embodiment, a computer implemented method and system is provided for cooperative on-path and off-path caching policy for information centric networks in which the edge routers or on-path routers optimally store the requested ICN contents and are supported by a strategically placed central off-path cache router for additional level of caching. A heuristic mechanism has also been provided to offload and to optimally store the contents from the on-path routers to off-path central cache router. The present scheme optimally stores the requested ICN contents either in the on-path edge routers or in strategically located off-path central cache router. The present scheme also ensures optimal formulation resulting in reduced cache duplication, delay and network usage.
COMMUNICATION PORTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION PORTAL SERVER AND METHOD FOR A PORTAL SERVER MANAGEMENT
A communication portal management system is provided. The communication portal management system includes a geographical address website management unit assigning a management authority of a geographical address website to at least one website operator, a server communication unit receiving a contents upload request from at least one website operator terminal, and a server management unit storing contents information corresponding to the contents upload request in a database unit. The geographical address website corresponds to a geographical address of the at least one website operator. The contents information and the geographical address website are matched in response to the contents upload request. Each of the at least one website operator terminal corresponds to each of the at least one website operator, respectively and communicates with a communication portal server to upload contents according to a predetermined conditions of the management authority. At least one user terminal transmits a contents transmit request input from a user to the communication portal server and receives contents in response to the contents transmit request from a plurality of contents uploaded in the communication portal server.
Method for assigning and processing a label in an optical network, optical communication device, and optical communication system
The present invention discloses a method for assigning and processing a label in an optical network. The method includes: learning that a label switched path is required to be established in an optical network; generating a label, in which the label is used for indicating that a first optical channel data unit is multiplexed to a second optical channel data unit; the label includes a tributary slot type indication field that is used for indicating a tributary slot type of the second optical channel data unit, and the label further includes a tributary slot assignment indication field that is used for indicating a tributary slot occupied in the second optical channel data unit into which the first optical channel data unit is multiplexed; and sending the label to a node on the label switched path by a signaling message of GMPLS.
XMR angle sensors
Embodiments relate to xMR sensors, in particular AMR and/or TMR angle sensors with an angle range of 360 degrees. In embodiments, AMR angle sensors with a range of 360 degrees combine conventional, highly accurate AMR angle structures with structures in which an AMR layer is continuously magnetically biased by an exchange bias coupling effect. The equivalent bias field is lower than the external rotating magnetic field and is applied continuously to separate sensor structures. Thus, in contrast with conventional solutions, no temporary, auxiliary magnetic field need be generated, and embodiments are suitable for magnetic fields up to about 100 mT or more. Additional embodiments relate to combined TMR and AMR structures. In such embodiments, a TMR stack with a free layer functioning as an AMR structure is used. With a single such stack, contacted in different modes, a high-precision angle sensor with 360 degrees of uniqueness can be realized.
Techniques for packet-switched video telephony setup with QOS preconditions
Techniques for setting up a packet-switched video telephony (PSVT) call are described. A mobile originated (MO) device may transmit an invitation for the PSVT call to a mobile terminated (MT) device. The invitation may initiate a process to reserve and identify video and audio resources to establish the PSVT call. The MO device may determine whether the video resources are available. If the video resources are not available but audio resources are available, the MO device may instead establish the PSVT call with only an audio stream call between the MO device and the MT device. If audio resources become available ahead of video resources, the PSVT call may be established with an audio stream first and a video stream is automatically added to the call when video resources are reserved later, or the PSVT call is downgraded to a VoIP call if the video resources cannot be reserved.
Resource Access Method and Apparatus
The present embodiments relate to the field of communication technologies, and particularly, to a resource access method and apparatus. In an embodiment, even if a client cannot directly communicate with an authorization server, the client can still initiate authorization verification to the authorization server by using a resource server. Then, the resource server returns a resource access response to the client when receiving an authorization response returned by the authorization server.
Flow-based adaptive private network with multiple WAN-paths
Systems and techniques are described which improve performance, reliability, and predictability of networks without having costly hardware upgrades or replacement of existing network equipment. An adaptive communication controller provides WAN performance and utilization measurements to another network node over multiple parallel communication paths across disparate asymmetric networks which vary in behavior frequently over time. An egress processor module receives communication path quality reports and tagged path packet data and generates accurate arrival times, send times, sequence numbers and unutilized byte counts for the tagged packets. A control module generates path quality reports describing performance of the multiple parallel communication paths based on the received information and generates heartbeat packets for transmission on the multiple parallel communication paths if no other tagged data has been received in a predetermined period of time to ensure performance is continually monitored. An ingress processor module transmits the generated path quality reports and heartbeat packets.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RESOURCE CONTENTION RESOLUTION
Generally discussed herein are systems, devices, and methods for conflict resolution. A method can include identifying, by processing circuitry, whether a conflict exists between two or more nodes requesting access to a resource, in response to identifying a conflict exists, identifying a priority value for each of the nodes in conflict, the priority value for each of the nodes consistent with a probability distribution of possible priority values for each respective node, comparing the identified priority values to determine which priority value of the identified priority values corresponds to a highest priority value, and allocating access to the resource to the node corresponding to the determined highest priority value.
Content delivery methods and systems
Aspects of the present disclosure involve provisioning customers of an aggregator, such as a reseller, of a content delivery network (CDN). Content requests to the CDN are processed in accordance with the virtual IP (VIP) address at which the request was received, according to a property template bound to the VIP. The template is selected by the customer and involves discrete parameters for the reseller. Cache fills of the network are processed without direct knowledge by the CDN of the customer origin through a combination of some request attribute, e.g., alias host of the customer, and an attribute of the reseller to make a DNS request to a name server outside the CDN. Another aspect involves receiving a property template selection, an origin and an alias from a customer of the reseller, and providing appropriate DNS entries to validate the customer and provide origin information to the CDN.
AUTOMATIC QOS OPTIMIZATION IN NETWORK EQUIPMENT
Systems, methods, and software for automatically optimizing QoS configuration in networking equipment. A network device measures current line metric values associated with a network connection of the device and compares the current line metric values to previously measured values to determine whether there has been a material change in a line metric value. If a material change in a line metric value has occurred, new QoS settings are computed for the network device based on the current line metric values measured, and the new QoS settings are applied to the QoS functions of the network device. The measuring, comparing, computing, and applying steps are repeated on a periodic basis in order to keep the QoS settings optimized to changing network conditions.
