The intermediate mate-in interface comprises an input/output connector connected between the generic-to-intermediate connector and the intermediate-to-specific connector, for enabling at least one of inputting a signal into the intermediate mate-in interface and outputting a signal from the intermediate mate-in interface. The assembly is used for performing tests on the equipment using at least one of a device adapted for generating a signal and a device adapted for measuring at least one attribute of a signal or circuit which is/are connected to the input/output connector of the intermediate mate-in interface.
Method for charging a battery and battery thus charged
The invention relates to a method for charging a battery comprising rechargeable cells. According to the invention, to perform the ith charge of the battery, where i≧2, connection of the charging terminals to the charger is detected triggering connection of the cells to their bypass circuit during a pre-emptive bypass time (TP.sub.ji). Next, for each cell, during a second phase (C.sub.ji), the bypass circuit is disconnected from the cell until the voltage of the cell reaches a preset voltage, the pre-emptive bypass time (TP.sub.ji) for the ith charge having been calculated as a function of the total connection time, during at least one preceding charge, of the bypass circuit associated with this cell, until all the cells have reached the preset voltage. At least one length of time allowing the first time (TP.sub.ji) for the ith charge and/or said total connection time to be determined was memorized in a memory of the battery during this at least one preceding charge.
VERIFYING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VERIFYING THE DISCONNECTING MEANS OF A DC/AC CONVERTER
Verifying system and method for verifying the disconnecting means of a DC/AC converter which are connected in series through a midpoint in each phase between the converter and a power grid. The system comprises voltage detectors and a control unit in communication with said detectors and configured for determining the status of the disconnecting means depending on said voltages. The detectors comprise a detector associated with each phase for measuring the voltages between the corresponding midpoint and the neutral of the power grid, and an additional detector for measuring the voltage between said neutral and a reference point of the converter.
CIRCUIT BOARD AND DISPLAY DEVICE
Provided is a circuit board including inspection terminals, the circuit board including: a connection terminal, which is arranged on a front surface or in an inner layer of the circuit board, and is electrically connected to an object to be inspected; and three or more inspection terminals, which are electrically connected to the connection terminal, and are configured to measure a resistance value of the object to be inspected, each of the three or more inspection terminals being arranged on a side surface of the circuit board.
DETECTION OF DETERIORATED ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS IN A METER USING TEMPERATURE SENSING AND TIME-VARIABLE THRESHOLDS
A utility meter includes a meter housing that supports at least one current coil, a temperature sensor, and a processing circuit coupled to both. The current coil can be coupled to receive heat energy from a meter socket. The temperature sensor disposed generates a sensor signal based on a temperature within the meter housing. The processing circuit obtains the sensor signal and generates meter temperature information based at least in part thereon. The processing circuit also obtains a first predetermined threshold based on at least one of time of day information and date information. The processing circuit also determines whether an abnormal condition exists by comparing the meter temperature information to a value based on the first predetermined threshold, and generates an output signal to a memory, display or communication circuit responsive to determining that the abnormal condition exists.
Test device for a photovoltaic system having solar cell string
A bypass diode with a disconnection fault is identified. A test device includes: a signal introduction circuit that applies a disconnection position identification signal to between a positive electrode and a negative electrode of a solar battery string; and a fault calculating part that identifies the bypass diode with a disconnection fault on the basis of an AC component of a voltage between a frame ground and the positive electrode or an AC component of a voltage between the frame ground and the negative electrode when the disconnection position identification signal is applied.
Arc detection in electric meter systems
An electrical metering system in a utility box is capable of receiving electrical signals received from a power utility company. The electrical metering system includes measurement circuitry capable of measuring properties of the received electrical signals. Based on the measurements, a determination is made that an arcing condition is present in the utility box. Based on the determination that the arcing condition is present, a disconnect circuit is activated to interrupt the connection between a source of the electrical signals and a premises.
System and method for spread-spectrum time-domain reflectometry and design data wire testing
A method for wire connectivity testing includes receiving wiring data indicating at least a length of a wire segment of a vehicle from a design database. The method further includes receiving spread-spectrum time-domain reflectometry (SSTDR) data associated with the wire segment from an SSTDR device coupled to an endpoint of the wire segment. The method also includes calculating a distance-to-fault based on the SSTDR data. The method includes comparing the distance-to-fault to the length of the wire segment. The method further includes, in response to the distance-to-fault being less than the length of the wire segment, generating fault data indicating a failure within the wire segment. The method also includes sending the fault data to a user output device.
Voltage level monitoring of an integrated circuit for production test and debug
A scan chain collects scan chain data from testing of a functional circuit and outputs a scan chain signal containing the scan chain data. A voltage monitor circuit operates to compare a supply voltage against a threshold and assert a reset signal when the supply voltage crosses the threshold. The reset signal resets a flip flop circuit whose output signal controls operation of a logic circuit that blocks passage of the scan chain signal to an integrated circuit probe pad and instead applies a constant logic signal to the probe pad indicating a voltage monitoring error.
METHOD FOR DETECTING A METER MAINTENANCE CONDITION USING WINDING RESISTANCE
A method determines temperature information associated with a current coil connection in a meter. The method includes conveying heat from a current coil connection to a location proximate a winding disposed about a core. The core includes an opening through which a current carrying coil is disposed, the current carrying coil carrying current measured by the meter. The method also includes measuring a resistance of the winding disposed about a core, wherein the winding has a resistance that varies as a function of temperature. The method includes determining a temperature value based on the measured resistance and storing or communicating the determined temperature value.
