Electronic tracking systems are disclosed for assisting users with locating objects in a sporting environment. One such system includes a ball tracking component that tracks a game ball while moving in the sporting environment, and a heads up display that is worn by the user. This heads up display has an electronic display screen with a transparent display area that dynamically displays images within the user's field of view. A processor, which communicates with the ball tracking component and heads up display, is programmed to detect movement of the game ball, and responsively determine launch characteristics and/or flight characteristics of the moving game ball. The heads up display displays the launch/flight characteristics contemporaneous with an object indication adjacent to or superimposed over the moving game ball as the game ball is visible through the transparent display area of the display screen within the user's field of view.

A device has a lightweight inner bladder and an outer layer that covers the inner bladder. The inner bladder bunches up, crunches, becomes pleated, folded or the like against the inner surface of the outer layer. The bunched up surface of the inner bladder may be flattened and/or reconfigured upon impact, thereby absorbing energy. The bunched up inner bladder may create an uneven surface on the outer layer thereby altering the manner through which the device travels through the air. The device may be configured for any of a variety of sports or games such as, for example, a simulated soccer ball, football, rugby ball, baseball and/or softball, a tennis ball, a beachball or other oversized ball, a golf ball, a flying disc, a weighted punching bag, or any of a wide variety of devices for play and/or training.

A method for locating a golf ball including changing a temperature of a golf ball from a first temperature to a second temperature before use or marking the ball by reflective (mirror) or fluorescent material (e.g., NIR-IR fluorescent dye). The temperature changed ball is struck. Using either a thermal imaging camera with an imaging processing unit or a near-infrared (NIR) imaging camera with an imaging processing unit to produce a digital image of a part of the golf course with a potential golf ball location. A roller skating rink for players to play a skating game utilizes one or more game implements. A skating track includes a peripheral edge and a center area. The roller skating rink includes a concave peripheral wall that encloses the skating track and has a lower end and an upper end that are substantially vertically aligned. The concave peripheral wall may include one or more doorways through which the players and the game implements may traverse. One or more propelling devices are each adapted to propel one of the game implements into the roller skating rink. One or more scoring receptacles are situated for receiving one or more of the game implements therein proximate the upper end of the concave peripheral wall. A method of game play is further disclosed.

A golf ball aligning device comprises a shaft having a first and a second end, a handle mounted to the first end and a head member mounted to the second end. The head member further comprises a ball opening extending through the height of the head member having a chamfered or rounded bottom edge to engage a golf ball. An alignment grid on the top face of the head member comprises a crosshair pattern centered with the ball opening. A golf ball engaged with the bottom edge may be manipulated and oriented relative to the alignment grid for setting the trajectory of a shot.

An apparatus comprising a practice device for practice of hitting a tennis ball includes a server configured for serving the tennis ball to a user, a net disposed to intercept a flight of the tennis ball after the tennis bell has been hit by the user using a racket and to direct the captured tennis ball back towards the server to be served again to the user, an image detector configured to observe the tennis ball as the tennis ball hurtles towards the net, and a processor. The processor determines, based at least in part on image frames received from the image detector, data indicative of the tennis ball's virtual landing spot. This virtual landing spot is an estimate of where the tennis ball would have landed on an opposing court had the tennis ball not been intercepted by the net.

An item holder primarily containing two parts: a ball shaped element and a clip. The clip can be seated neatly into a cutout in the ball shaped element. The clip can also be designed as a divot tool or a spike and contains a clamp that can be used to hold a cigar or cigarette, support a golf club or have other uses. A golf ball alignment device includes a golf ball having an exterior surface. Indicia is disposed on the exterior surface of the golf ball. The indicia include first and second line segments extending along a portion of the golf ball at a spaced interval. The spaced interval is narrower at a first end of each line segment than at a second end of each line segment such that the line segments converge from the second end of the line segments to the first end of the line segments. The indicia provide an alignment reference on the golf ball for a user to align the line segments with at least one of an intended direction of travel of the golf ball and a club head used to strike the ball in the intended direction of travel.

The invention relates that when a cricket ball having combinations of magnets inside with two different leathers (materials) or a combination of multi-leathers (materials) on the two hemispheres, is delivered by a bowler at a speed, an inherent swing is obtained, which is proportional to the difference in the resultant densities on the two hemispheres of the ball. The invention is aimed at providing a technology by which an inherent swing/drifted spin in the delivered ball is inevitably established which is irrespective of any seam positioning, other bowling skills, surrounding and pitch conditions.
