The present invention relates to a new and inventive combination game combining aspects of ball and/or bowling games. The invention further relates to a game set comprising all elements necessary to perform the game and to a method of playing a combined game.

Golf balls including a plurality of radar detectable marks disposed on any single layer or among two or more layers thereof are provided. When all of the radar detectable marks present on any layer of the ball are radially projected onto the outer surface of the ball, the resulting overall pattern of projected radar detectable marks includes a series of three or marks located on a 1.5 mm wide great circle band on the outer surface of the ball.

Golf entertainment venues with a computing system configured to optically identify and track graphical images located on golf balls hit by players. The graphical image located on a golf ball can be associated with a player and the computing system can assign the player a score when that player's golf ball successfully arrives at a target area. In some embodiments, the graphical images can be printed on the golf balls using, for example, a single pass inkjet printing technique. In some embodiments, the computing system can be configured to sort golf balls based on optically identified graphical images.

A positioning system includes a golf ball and a mobile terminal. The golf ball includes a battery and a transmitter configured to operate with electric power supplied from the battery and transmit a radio signal to outside of the golf ball. The mobile terminal includes a receiver configured to receive the radio signal from the golf ball and a processor configured to measure the position of the mobile terminal, and to measure the position of the golf ball based on the strength of the radio signal received by the receiver at two or more points at which the measured position of the mobile terminal differs.

In a golf ball having a core and a cover of one or a plurality of layers that encases the core, the core or at least one layer of the cover is formed of a resin composition which contains from 5 to 250 parts by weight of a mechanoluminescent material that receives mechanical energy and luminesces per 100 parts by weight of a base material which is a rubber material or a resin material. This golf ball has an excellent visibility in that, even under dark conditions, the ball impact site can be clearly confirmed visually at the time of impact. Moreover, the ball is able to maintain a good scuff resistance.

A golf ball marker for applying chalk to a golf ball. The golf ball marker includes a housing having two space ends and in which one end is dimensioned to support a golf ball. A plunger is slidably mounted in the housing while chalk is carried at the end of the plunger. Consequently, upon movement of the plunger towards the golf ball, the chalk contacts and marks the golf ball.

An apparatus for demonstrating how golf balls interact with golf clubs includes a downswing plane, a club shaft attached to the downswing plane, a golf club head attached to the club shaft, and a collision-plane indicator attached to the golf club head wherein the collision-plane indicator illustrates the plane created by two intersecting lines that are in the direction of the path and the direction of the club face. Preferably, the downswing plane has an adjustable angle, and preferably the downswing plane swivels. Preferably the club shaft is pivotally attached to the downswing plane. Preferably the apparatus includes a removable golf ball with a spin axis through the middle of the ball, and with a black line across the middle of the ball that indicates spin direction perpendicular to the ball's spin axis.

A baseball pitching training device used to instruct the throwing of a fastball, curveball, and change-up by a right handed pitcher through indicia placement on the baseball cover while maintaining the structural integrity of the baseball. The indicia provide finger alignment to grip the baseball needed to throw the desired pitch used in the sport of baseball. Correct finger alignment allows the baseball to sit in the right hand supported by the thumb, and non grip finger(s) to throw the chosen baseball pitch.

A tennis practice assembly for enhancing hand eye coordination during tennis practice includes a practice tennis ball that has a diameter which is less than a traditional tennis ball. In this way the practice tennis ball can enhance hand-eye coordination of a tennis player during tennis practice. The practice tennis ball has a diameter ranging between approximately 1.5 inches and 2.5 inches. In this way the practice tennis ball is large enough to be used for practicing tennis while being smaller than a traditional tennis ball. The practice tennis ball has ornamental indicia printed thereon for enhancing the ornamental appearance of the practice tennis ball.

The sports ball (410) has an inner layer (416) and an outer panel (414). The inner layer (416) is secured to the outer panel (414) and several inner layers (416) and outer panels (414) are sewn together to form the sports ball (410). A strip (440) is positioned between the inner layer (416) and outer panel (414) under a white stripe (448) to raise the white stripe (448) on the sports ball (410) above the surrounding outer surface of the sports ball (410) to enhance grip. The sports ball (410) can be a football (412). A line of thread (424) can be stitched between the inner layer (416) and outer panel (414) on either side of the stripe (448) to enhance the shape retention of the sports ball (410), enhance grip and help keep the strip (440) in place. In a modification, a strip (480) is positioned between the inner layer (416) and outer panel (414) except under the white stripe (448) to form a void under the stripe (448) and enhance grip.
