Process for fermentation of syngas
A process for fermenting syngas is provided which is effective for decreasing an amount of time needed to inoculate a main reactor. The process includes propagating a culture of acetogenic bacteria to provide an inoculum for a main reactor and fermenting syngas in the main reactor.
SYSTEM FOR MIXING BEVERAGES AND METHOD OF DOING THE SAME
A module includes a housing, a sealing feature, a locking feature, and an agitator. The housing has an opening separating inner and outer surfaces and a boss that extends through the housing such that part of the outer surface forms an inner bore of the boss having a terminus pointing toward the opening. The agitator has a base, a shaft, and a mixing element coupled to the base such that the base, in cooperation with the sealing feature, circumferentially seals the opening of the housing to form a cavity defined by the inner surface. The shaft passes through the inner bore. The locking feature when engaged permits independent or simultaneous translational and rotational movement of the shaft while an area between the terminus of the boss and the shaft remains mechanically sealed during the movement against liquid or powder encroachment into a clean area of the inner bore.
ULTRA-DISPERSION MIXER
Provided is an ultra-dispersion mixer, for stirring a mixed material for producing a high-quality slurry for an electrode of a secondary battery within a short time by disposing a low-speed blade and a high-speed blade for stirring a mixed material in a chamber so as to easily and effectively disperse elements of the slurry of a secondary battery, supplied to a mixer during a procedure of preparing the slurry of a secondary battery produced by performing mixing procedures multiple times, and disposing blade parts having a plurality of stirring characteristics so as to realize various stirring characteristics in the mixed material on the high-speed blade to increase the dispersion of the mixed material while the mixed material circulates in a high-shear disperser of the chamber and to simultaneously increase the temperature of a supplied solution at the beginning of stirring of the mixed material in the chamber.
Bioreactors with multiple or adjustable-position agitator designs
Described herein are bioreactor support structures configured to be used with containers having different designs, and methods for making and using such bioreactors. The support structures described herein may include two or more agitator motors and control systems or an adjustable-position agitator motor, a removable spacer and/or lid, multiple configurations for ports and probes, and multiple exhaust filter heating blankets. Also described herein are methods of manufacturing a multi-agitator motor or adjustable-position agitator motor bioreactor, as well as methods of modifying an existing support structure to be used with a container not originally designed to be used with the existing support structure, and methods for operating these bioreactors.
Atomization device and method for manufacturing product with fluidity using said device
An object of the present invention is to develop a mechanism capable of more effectively performing processing such as emulsification, dispersion, dissolution, atomization, mixing, or stirring on a processing object with fluidity using an atomization device including a rotor-stator type mixer while an inside of a processing tank is maintained in a pressured state, at atmospheric pressure, or in a vacuum state, and occurrence of a negative pressure state on a center side (inner diameter side) of a rotor is actively suppressed or prevented. An atomization device comprises a rotor-stator type mixer in a processing tank. The atomization device performs processing such as emulsification, dispersion, atomization, mixing, or stirring on a processing object with fluidity using the rotor-stator type mixer while an inside of the processing tank is maintained in a pressured state, at atmospheric pressure, or in a vacuum state. The atomization device has a mechanism in which the rotating rotor makes the processing object flow at a predetermined pressure or higher.
Paint multi-tool assembly
A paint multi-tool assembly includes a shaft that has a hooked end that is insertable into a power tool thereby facilitating the shaft to be rotated when the power tool is turned on. A first cylinder insertably receives the shaft thereby facilitating the first cylinder to be inserted into an open end of a paint roller. Thus, the power tool can rotate the paint roller for cleaning paint off of the paint roller. A plurality of fins is each coupled to and extends away from the first cylinder for stirring paint in the paint container. A second cylinder is coupled to each of the fins such that the second cylinder is spaced from the first cylinder. In this way the second cylinder can be inserted into the paint container or be inserted into the open end of the paint roller.
BLENDER HAVING BI-DIRECTIONALLY ROTATABLE BLADES
A blender includes a blade assembly including a main blade shaft that is coupled to a first blade and a first main coupler so as to rotate in a forward direction and a reverse-rotation blade shaft that is coupled to a second blade and a first reverse-rotation coupler so as to rotate in a reverse direction, a gearbox assembly including a main gear shaft coupled to a second main coupler, which is engaged with the first main coupler, so as to rotate in the forward direction, a plurality of gears configured to convert the forward rotation of the main gear shaft to reverse rotation, and a second reverse-rotation coupler configured to transmit the reverse rotation transmitted through the plurality of gears to the first reverse-rotation coupler, and a case that has the gearbox assembly provided therein.
MINIATURISED DEVICE FOR AUTOMATED MANUFACTURE OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS, AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
The present invention relates to a device (60) for manufacturing pharmaceutical compositions, comprising: a support (62); a mixing container (16); a plurality of reservoirs (18, 20) containing starting materials for the composition of a medicament; at least one dispensing device (64, 66) that is designed to dispense an amount of a starting material into the mixing container, wherein the dispensing device is assembled, or is designed to be assembled, with a reservoir; a stirring device (68) that is able to stir the mixing container and/or the contents of the mixing container; and an electronic module (74) for controlling the at least one dispensing device.
BLENDER APPARATUS WITH SAFETY INTERLOCK SYSTEM
A blending device having an interlock system which may comprise a plurality of subassemblies. A thermal detector may be configured to be proximity with matter being blended for human consumption. Interlock system may further include a blade interlock contact and a compressive contact. The blender vessel may be configured to compress the compressive contact to a communicative configuration when connected with the blade assembly. Interlock system may utilize a blender base assembly that has base interlock contacts and a motor. The blade assembly may be configured to releaseably mount to the blender base assembly and may cause the base interlock contact and the blade interlock contact to come into electrical communication with each other. The interlock system may ultimately result in the motor being obstructed from operation unless certain conditions are met. The interlock system may further utilize one or more than one logic circuit element.
