The configuration of the flow focusing junction is such that, in operation, a flow of dispersed phase fluid discharging from the outlet of the dispersed phase fluid supply channel is engageable in co-flow by a focusing flow of continuous phase fluid discharging from the outlet of the at least one continuous phase fluid supply channel under formation of a gradually thinning jet of dispersed phase fluid that extends into the inlet of the bubble formation channel.
Treatment of water to extend half-life of ozone
A system for providing an acidic ionized ozonated liquid. The system includes a liquid inlet arranged to accept a liquid into the system; an acid-based cation-exchange resin in fluid communication with the liquid inlet, the resin adapted to exchange cations in the accepted liquid with H+ ions on the resin; an ozone dissolving apparatus in fluid communication with the liquid inlet and the acid-based cation-exchange resin; and a liquid outlet in fluid communication with the liquid inlet, the acid-based cation-exchange resin and the ozone dissolving apparatus. The ozone dissolving apparatus and the acid-based cation-exchange resin cooperating to produce the acidic ionized ozonated liquid for dispensation out of the system via the liquid outlet.
Connected scent device
A scent dispersal device and a network for operating one or more scent dispersal devices are provided. The device can include electronics for operating a heater within the device to cause a scent cartridge within the device to disperse a scent into the surrounding environment. The device can include a top configured to turn the device on/off and control the type, strength and duration of a specific scent from a scent cartridge. The device can be equipped with sensors to identify the type of scent selected and the level of scent substance remaining in a scent cartridge. The device can be configured to interact with other scent devices via a local Wi-Fi network, where the tactile control of one device causes other devices to act in the same manner. The device or devices can further be controlled by and send information to a mobile device via a network.
Exhaust aftertreatment system having mixer assembly
An exhaust aftertreatment system may include an exhaust gas passageway and a mixer assembly. The exhaust gas passageway may receive exhaust gas output from a combustion engine. The mixer assembly may be disposed along the exhaust gas passageway and may receive the exhaust gas. The mixer assembly may include a mixer housing, a mixing bowl and an injector housing. The mixing bowl may be disposed within the mixer housing and may include an outer diametrical surface that engages an inner diametrical surface of a wall of the mixer housing. The injector housing may extend through the wall and into an aperture in the mixing bowl. The aperture may define a flow path through which at least a majority of the exhaust gas entering the mixer assembly flows. The mixing bowl may include an upstream end portion having contours directing the exhaust gas toward the injector housing.
METHOD OF DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING A DISTRIBUTOR BAR FOR APPLYING A VISCOUS FOAMABLE LIQUID MIXTURE ONTO A LAMINATOR
Method of designing and manufacturing a distributor bar for use in a production line comprising a mixing head for providing a viscous foamable liquid mixture, a laminator with a predefined speed of at least 20 m/min, the distributor bar having a central inlet fluidly connected to a number of outlets via a main channel. The method comprises: choosing (3001) a geometry for the distributor bar and defining a set of geometrical parameters; assigning (3002) values to said parameters; creating (3003) a virtual model; simulating (3005) flow in said model by performing a Computational Fluid Dynamics simulation (CFD), taking into account (3004) a non-Newtonian shear thinning model; e) evaluating the simulated flow; building (2007) a physical distributor bar. A distributor bar, a production line, and a computer program product.
DOSING AND MIXING ARRANGEMENT FOR USE IN EXHAUST AFTERTREATMENT
Dosing and mixing exhaust gas includes directing exhaust gas towards a periphery of a mixing tube that is configured to direct the exhaust gas to flow around and through the mixing tube to effectively mix and dose exhaust gas within a relatively small area. Some mixing tubes include a slotted region and a non-slotted region. Some mixing tubes include a louvered region and a non-louvered region. Some mixing tubes are offset within a mixing region of a housing.
GAS-DISSOLVED WATER PRODUCTION DEVICE AND PRODUCTION METHOD
An ozone water production device (1) includes: flow rate controllers (4, 5) that each control a flow rate of gas which is a raw material; a flow rate meter (12) that measures a flow rate of water which is a raw material; a booster pump (13) that controls pressure of the water; an ozone water generating unit (8) that generates ozone water by mixing ozone gas and the water; and a pressure sensor (17) that measures pressure of the ozone water which is to be supplied to a use point (19). The booster pump (13) controls the pressure of the water such that the pressure of the ozone water measured by the pressure sensor (17) is constant.
