AUTOPLACEMENT OF SUPERCONDUCTING DEVICES
A system and method for the automatic placement of superconducting devices determines an arrangement of a series of Josephson junctions between a start point and an end point of an inductive wiring run on a superconducting circuit layout having a plurality of discrete Josephson junction placement sites by determining costs of placing each Josephson junction of the series of Josephson junctions at the plurality of discrete Josephson junction placement sites between the start point and the end point of the inductive wiring run based at least on a comparison of a target inductance value to inductances of wires connecting to the Josephson junction and selecting sites from the plurality of discrete Josephson junction placement sites to place each Josephson junction corresponding to the arrangement of the series of Josephson junctions with the least determined cost for the inductive wiring run.
Composite superconducting materials and processes for the production thereof
Superconductors and processes that form superconductors as composites of electrically polarizable ferroelectric materials and electrically conductive materials. The materials are chosen such that the binding energy of charge carriers within the materials exceeds the repulsive energy of the carriers and the energy carried by thermal vibrations (phonons) within the materials.

Finished conductor arrangement for an NB3SN superconductor wire and method for producing a subelement for an NB3SN superconductor wire
For producing an Nb3Sn superconductor wire, restack rod process (RRP) subelements (1a; 60a) are grouped to form a bundle having an approximately circular cross section and are arranged together with filling elements (18a-18c) in an internally and externally round outer tube (19; 52). To the inside the filling elements form a serrated profile (25) for abutment against the hexagonal subelements, and to the outside they form a round profile (24) for direct or indirect abutment in the outer tube. In fabricating the RRP subelements, and before a reshaping with a reduction in cross section, an externally hexagonal and internally round casing structure (9) is provided, into which the remaining parts of the subelements are inserted, in particular, an annular arrangement of hexagonal Nb-containing rod elements (4), which are surrounded externally by an outer matrix (7, 61) and internally by an inner matrix (3).
