INTEGRATED SINGLE AND TWIN SCREW EXTRUDER
An extruder is disclosed, and more particularly, to an integrated single screw extruder and a twin screw extruder for mixing, compounding, kneading and/or extruding of materials. The integrated extruder includes a first barrel assembly and a second barrel assembly. The integrated extruder further includes a first screw having a first threaded portion and a second threaded portion. The first threaded portion is housed within the first barrel assembly and is configured to provide upstream material processing. The second threaded portion is housed within the second barrel assembly and is configured to provide downstream material processing. The integrated extruder further includes a second screw having a non-threaded shaft portion and a threaded portion. The threaded portion of the second screw is housed within the second barrel assembly and is configured to provide the downstream material processing with the second threaded portion of the first screw.
Extruder Including a Threaded Barrel
An Extruder for providing a flow of viscoelastic material such as rubber is disclosed herein. The extruder includes several zones (A, P, H, S), each assigned to a particular rheological function and arranged axially from an upstream end to a downstream end of the extruder and having an endless screw of given diameter (D). In each of the zones, at least one helicoidal flight extends radially from a central shaft of the screw over a height (h.sub.1), in a direction and with a pitch which are defined for each of the zones, and which is rotationally driven about an axis (XX) in a barrel. The barrel is provided with various structures to further assist with the flow of the viscoelastic material
Integrated single and twin screw extruder

EXTRUDER
The extruder includes: a cylinder having a first end portion and a second end portion respectively formed at two ends of the cylinder in an axial direction, and an ejection port formed in the first end portion; a screw including a shaft that is configured to rotate within the cylinder, and a screw blade that is provided on an outer circumferential surface of the shaft; a supplier that is attached to the second end portion side of the cylinder and is configured to supply a kneading target to an inside of the cylinder; and a plurality of protruding members that protrude from an inner wall surface of the cylinder.
EXTRUDER SCREW, EXTRUDER, AND EXTRUSION METHOD
A conveyance portion, a barrier portion, and a path are provided at places of a portion of a screw main body in which a kneading portion is provided. In at least one of the places, an entrance is opened to cause raw materials, conveyance of which is limited by a barrier portion to increase pressure on the raw materials, to flow in. The raw materials flowing in from the entrance flow through the path in the opposite direction to a conveyance direction of the conveyance portion. An exit is opened in an outer circumferential surface of the screw main body at a position outside the conveyance portion in which the entrance is opened.
EXTRUDER SCREW, EXTRUDER AND EXTRUSION METHOD
According to one embodiment, an extruder screw includes a screw body. The screw body is rotated about an axis parallel to a direction of conveyance of a raw material. A conveyance portion having a flight is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the screw body. The flight is configured to convey the raw material along the axis of the screw body when the screw body is rotated. A passage for permitting the raw material fed by the flight to pass therethrough to the outer peripheral surface of the screw body is provided in the screw body in a position deviated from the axis of the screw body.
