09581286 · 2017-02-28 ·

A tablet computer holding device having a rigid and substantially rectangular base is provided. A pair of upstanding walls extends vertically upward from the perimeter of the base and partially bound the base. The upstanding walls provide a widened area for a user to grip. The upstanding walls extend along a pair of opposing sides of the holding device and wrap around the corners thereof, such that the upstanding walls resemble a pair of opposing U-shapes. Since the upstanding walls do not extend around the entire base, inputs and buttons disposed on the sides of the tablet computer can be easily accessed. A plurality of elongated ridges is disposed about the perimeter of the holding device to facilitate grasping the holding device. One or more fasteners, such as clips, are disposed on the periphery of the base and are used to securely hold a tablet computer in place thereon.

TABLET POUCH WITH BUILT-IN TETHER RETRACTOR

A pouch for a tablet computer includes a first panel and a second panel attached to the first panel along a lower pouch end, where the pouch is operable between open and closed pouch positions. In the closed pouch position the second panel aligns with the first panel and defines a pouch compartment sized to hold a tablet computer. A closure is installed between the first panel and the second panel. A quantity of padding is disposed on an inside face of the first panel and defines a retractor recess. A retractor pocket is defined within the retractor recess and has a retractor cable opening. A retractor is disposed in the retractor pocket and has a retractor cable operable through the retractor cable opening between a retracted position and an extended position. A connector on the distal cable end is constructed for attachment to the tablet computer.

WATERPROOF HOUSING FOR AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE

A waterproof housing for an electronic device includes a first member, a second member, and a gasket. The first member includes a perimeter portion, an interior bounding member, and an exterior bounding member. The interior bounding member and the exterior bounding member form a channel in the first member and the exterior bounding member includes a groove. The second member removably couples to the first member to form the waterproof housing. The second member includes a perimeter portion that extends into the channel of the first member when the second member is coupled to the first member. The second member further includes a ridge that mates with the groove of the exterior bounding member of the first member. The gasket is compressed between the first member and the second member when the first member is coupled to the second member.

A storage case includes a case body that stores a storage item, a pull-out member that, upon being pulled out from the case body, moves the storage item stored in the case body toward an outside of the case body, and a fold portion that is provided at the pull-out member. The pull-out member is folded at the fold portion and separated from an extraction section of the storage item so as to expose the extraction section in a state in which the extraction section of the storage item is positioned outside the case body.

Electronic equipment accessory

An electronic equipment accessory includes an accessory body and a holder assembly connected to the accessory body. The holder assembly includes a support member and a base. The base is rotatably connected to the accessory body. The support member is rotatable relative to the base between an extended position and a folded position. At the extended position, an included angle is formed between the support member and the base to thereby allow the accessory body to be supported on a support surface. The support member is rotatable relative to the base in one direction and the base is rotatable relative to the accessory body in another direction, thus the support member of the electronic equipment accessory can be adjusted with respect to the accessory body in multiple directions to thereby allow the electronic equipment accessory to support electronic equipment on a support surface at multiple different directions or tilted angles.

The attachment mechanism includes a receiver channel to slidably receive a rail member of the accessory to removably attach the accessory to the protective case. The receiver channel includes a lip for retaining the rail member in the receiver channel. The attachment mechanism further includes a snap feature having an interference fit with a corresponding snap feature of the rail member to removably lock the rail member into the receiver channel when the rail member is inserted into the receiver channel.

PROTECTIVE CASE SYSTEM

A protective case system includes a mounting accessory and a protective case. The mounting accessory is attachable to an object and has a dovetail rail member, a snap feature, and an engagement feature. The protective case includes an inner liner and an outer shell. The outer shell is removably attachable to the mounting accessory to removably attach the protective case to the object through the mounting accessory. The outer shell includes a receiver channel in proximity to a first end of the outer shell. The receiver channel is adapted to slidably receive the dovetail rail member of the mounting accessory to removably attach the outer shell of the protective case to the mounting accessory. The outer shell further includes an engagement feature for engaging the engagement feature of the mounting accessory to further removably attach the outer shell to the mounting accessory.
