Connector cap assembly
The invention relates to a connector/cap assembly comprising locking means and coupling means allowing the cap to be removed from the connector using only one hand and preferably without the cap coming into contact with the hand of the practitioner.
Catheter assembly including sealing member
A catheter assembly includes a catheter, a hub, and a sealing member. The catheter defines one or more lumens. The hub includes one or more hub extensions dimensioned to be received within the one or more lumens of the catheter. The sealing member is positioned adjacent the interface of the catheter and the hub. The sealing member includes an expandable material which increases in volume upon exposure to moisture.
Connector for fluid, and syringe
A connector which is detachably connected to a cylindrical section is prevented from unintentionally disconnecting and breaking. The connector has inner and outer cylinder members. The inner cylinder member has an engagement plate protruding from the inner peripheral surface of an inner cylinder body and engaging with a recess formed in the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical section, and also has slits arranged radially and extending from the engagement plate to a part of the inner cylinder body. The engagement between the recess and the engagement plate restricts the axial movement of the inner cylinder member relative to the cylindrical section. When the outer cylinder member is mounted on the inner cylinder member, the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder member is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder member, and the displacement of the engagement plate in the diameter expansion direction is restricted.
Catheter system
A catheter control system the system can include a control unit having a first connection port. The control unit can have a first visual indicator associated with the first connection port. The system can also include a first catheter interface connector connected to the first connection port of the control unit. The first catheter interface connector can have a first visual indicator corresponding to the first visual indicator on the control unit. The first visual indicator on the first catheter interface connector can be to be active to indicate that the first catheter interface connector is connected to the first connection port on the control unit.
Systems for set connector assembly with lock
A set connector assembly for a fluid infusion device is provided. The set connector assembly includes a connector having a body. The body defines a graspable portion and a coupling portion, and the coupling portion is to be received within a portion of the fluid infusion device. The graspable portion has at least one locking tab to lock the connector to the fluid infusion device, and the graspable portion is movable relative to the body to move the connector between a first, locked position and a second, unlocked position relative to the fluid infusion device.
Systems for set connector assembly with lock
A fluid infusion device is provided. The fluid infusion device includes a housing that includes a lock and a set connector assembly removably coupled to the housing to define a fluid flow path from the fluid infusion device. The set connector assembly includes a connector having a body that defines a graspable portion and a coupling portion. The coupling portion is receivable within the housing, and the graspable portion has at least one wing that defines a locking tab for engaging the lock. The at least one wing is movable relative to the body to disengage the locking tab with the lock.
Slide-button catheter connector device
A catheter connector device is provided including a device housing having a first port and a second port. A fixed sleeve support portion and a flexible, cantilevered sleeve cover extend longitudinally within a housing interior, to carry a flexible tubular sleeve having a sleeve through bore extending from the first port to the second port, for removable insertion of a catheter. The sleeve cover has a first portion, a second portion extending from the first portion and a third portion narrower than the first portion extending from the second portion. A slidable catheter lock switch, or slide button, is positional between a catheter-unlocking position adjacent to the third portion of the sleeve cover and a catheter-locking position engaging the first portion of the sleeve cover and flexing the tubular sleeve cover to crimp the tubular sleeve and retain the catheter within.
Catheter attachment mechanism
The disclosure provides an apparatus and methods for securing a medical catheter. The apparatus includes a tube wall that defines a lumen extending longitudinally there through. The tube wall comprising: a plurality of flexible fingers extending along a portion of the tube wall, a longitudinal slot disposed between each pair of adjacent fingers, each of the fingers comprising an exterior surface and an interior surface. An outer protrusion extends outwardly from the exterior surface of each finger. An inner protrusion extends inwardly from the interior surface of each finger. The inner protrusions are configured to frictionally engage an outer surface of the medical catheter disposed within the lumen when the plurality of flexible fingers are moved inwardly in response to an external force applied to the outer protrusions.

The graspable portion is movable relative to the body to move the connector between a first, locked position and a second, unlocked position relative to the fluid infusion device.
Connecting element and connecting assembly
A connecting element for connecting two hollow bodies through which a fluid can flow comprises a first connecting part which can be brought into fluid-tight flow connection with a first hollow body through which a fluid can flow, a sealing element which is arranged at least partially in an inner area of the first connecting part and a locking element which is arranged on an outside of the first connecting part. The locking element can be transferred from an unlocked position into a locked position, wherein the locking element in the locked position acts upon the sealing element in such a way that an inside diameter of the sealing element is smaller than when the locking element is in the unlocked position.
