Two-Component Curable Composition and Cured Product
A two-component curable composition includes: a liquid A containing an epoxy compound having two epoxy groups and having at least one selected from the group consisting of a divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group and a polyether structure between the two epoxy groups, a reactive diluent, and a thermally conductive filler; and a liquid B containing an amine compound, a plasticizer, and a thermally conductive filler.
Structural adhesive compositions
An adhesive composition comprising an epoxy compound and a compound comprising at least one aminimide functional group is disclosed. The compound comprising the at least one aminimide functional group is present in an amount from 2-8% by weight based on total weight of the adhesive composition and reacts with the epoxy compound upon activation by an external energy source. The adhesive composition also may comprise an amidine salt.
AMINE ADDUCT
The invention relates to a method of forming an epoxy resin curative, derived from a polyamine, and having exceptionally high purity with regard to contamination with said polyamine precursor. The invention also provides high purity epoxy resin curatives, epoxy resin curative compositions comprising said epoxy resin curatives, and uses of the same. In one aspect, the invention provides a method of forming an epoxy resin curative, by contacting a difunctional epoxide compound with one or more polyamine, to provide a diadduct, purifying the diadduct such that the purified diadduct comprises less than 0.1 wt. % of the one or more polyamine, as determined by GC, and using the diadduct to form a Mannich base, amide containing compound, ketimine, or aldimine, for use as an epoxy resin curative.
Ultraviolet radiation-cured pressure sensitive adhesives from plant oils or animal fats
A pressure sensitive adhesive construct comprising: (A) a backing substrate; and (B) a pressure sensitive adhesive composition disposed on the backing substrate, wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive composition includes an ultraviolet radiation-cured polymer made from: (a) at least one epoxidized plant oil, at least one epoxidized animal fat, or a mixture thereof; (b) at least one dicarboxylic acid, at least one polycarboxylic acid, or a mixture thereof; and (c) at least one compound that contains both one carbon-carbon double bond (CC) and at least one carboxylic acid group.
Coating composition and wood article manufactured therefrom
The present application relates to a coating composition and wood article manufactured therefrom, the coating composition comprising: (A) a film-forming resin composition comprising a reactive donor capable of providing two or more nucleophilic carbanions, and a reactive acceptor comprising two carbon-carbon double bonds; (B) a catalyst for catalyzing the Michael addition crosslinking reaction between the reactive donor and the reactive acceptor, wherein at least one of the reactive acceptor and the reactive donor comprises an aromatic ring structure, and wherein the polymer formed by homopolymerization of the reactive acceptor has a Tg of 100 C. or higher.
