FLUID MIXING SYSTEMS WITH ADJUSTABLE MIXING ELEMENT
A fluid mixing system includes a support housing having an interior surface bounding a chamber. A flexible bag is disposed within the chamber of the support housing, the flexible bag having an interior surface bounding a compartment. An impeller is disposed within the chamber of the flexible bag. A drive shaft is coupled with the impeller such that rotation of the drive shaft facilitates rotation of the impeller. A drive motor assembly is coupled with the draft shaft and is adapted to rotate the drive shaft. An adjustable arm assembly is coupled with the drive motor assembly and is adapted to move the drive motor assembly which in turn moves the position of the drive shaft and impeller. An electrical controller can control movement of the adjustable arm.
Fluid mixing systems with adjustable mixing element
A fluid mixing system includes a support housing having an interior surface bounding a chamber. A flexible bag is disposed within the chamber of the support housing, the flexible bag having an interior surface bounding a compartment. An impeller is disposed within the chamber of the flexible bag. A drive shaft is coupled with the impeller such that rotation of the drive shaft facilitates rotation of the impeller. A drive motor assembly is coupled with the draft shaft and is adapted to rotate the drive shaft. An adjustable arm assembly is coupled with the drive motor assembly and is adapted to move the drive motor assembly which in turn moves the position of the drive shaft and impeller. An electrical controller can control movement of the adjustable arm.
Stirring device
In accordance with embodiments of the herein disclosed subject matter it is described a stirring device (100) comprising a shaft rotatable about an axis of rotation; a stirring element (106) attached to the shaft, the stirring element (106) having a recess (108); the recess (108) having a surface portion (114) and an edge (116), the edge (116) defining an opening which provides access to the surface portion (114); the recess (108) being spaced from the shaft, wherein a rotation of the shaft defines a moving direction (120) of the recess (108) in which the edge (116) forms a leading edge of the recess (108); the surface portion (114) defining a depth (122) of the recess (108) with regard to the edge (116); and wherein in a direction (124) radially inwardly the depth (122) of the recess (108) is decreasing. In accordance with embodiments, the decreasing depth (122) may be realized by a suitable inclination (136) of the surface portion (114) of the recess (116) and/or by a suitable inclination (140) of the edge (116) of the recess (108).
Installation for producing and/or processing confectionery masses and method for producing and/or processing confectionery masses
An installation and method for producing and/or processing confectionery masses which are made from at least one liquid raw material and granular and/or powdery raw materials. The installation includes at least a first mixing container and at least one further product-processing device. The first mixing container has at least one raw-material inlet and a product outlet and a mixing device for mixing the raw materials at least largely homogeneously. At least the mixing container includes at least one spraying device in an upper container region, which at least one spraying device serves to feed the at least one liquid raw material, wherein at least one outlet cone of the spraying device is directed, at least in some regions, toward an inner wall surface of the first mixing container.
Stirring device
Provided is a stirring device that allows a weight measurement during a rotation operation to be accurately performed while suppressing increase in reinforcement structures required for support of a stirring container and suppressing increase in weight. A device frame is provided with legs, a heating kettle is provided with a reinforcement base attached on the bottom side, a motor bed is provided to support a cutter/motor unit to the reinforcement base or the device frame, load cells are provided to indirectly measure a change in weight of a stirring substance in the heating kettle during a rotation operation of the cutter/motor unit, and closed reinforced structures are configured to include the heating kettle, the cutter/motor unit, the reinforcement base, and the supporting stand as reinforcing members.
Method of operating a batch mixer and batch mixer for performing the method
The invention provides a method of operating a batch mixer for producing first and second numbers of mixtures from first and second numbers of batches of materials to be mixed in the batch mixer, the batch mixer comprising a mixing chamber, a mixing element disposed within the mixing chamber, the mixing element and the mixing chamber being configured for providing an identical flow of the materials to be mixed within the mixing chamber and around the mixing element regardless of in which of the first and second opposite directions the mixing element is rotated, and a motor assembly coupled to the mixing element for rotating the mixing element for mixing the first and second numbers of batches of materials to be mixed for producing the first and second numbers of mixtures. The method comprises the steps of energizing said motor assembly for rotating said mixing element in said first direction, for each one of the first number of batches of the materials to be mixed: loading the one of the first number of batches of materials to be mixed into the mixing chamber, mixing the one of the first number of batches of materials for producing one of the first number of mixtures, and removing the one of the first number of mixtures from the mixing chamber, energizing the motor assembly for rotating the mixing element in the second direction, and for each one of the second number of batches of the materials to be mixed loading the one of the second number of batches of materials to be mixed into the mixing chamber, mixing the one of the second number of batches of materials for producing one of the second number of mixtures, and removing the one of the second number of mixtures from the mixing chamber.
PRODUCTION DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING PRODUCTS IN THE FORM OF SHEETS OR BLOCKS, AND METHOD THEREOF
A production device for manufacturing a product in the form of a sheet or a block, including: an initial agitator (1), a primary conveyor belt (2) and a mixing agitator (3); each of initial agitators (1) is configured with the primary conveyor belt (2), one or more stones or a stone-like granular material having a selected particle size and a binder are initially mixed in the initial agitator (1) and then an initial mixture is obtained; the mixing agitator (3) includes a rotating container for undertaking a material; the initial mixture is conveyed to the mixing agitator (3) through the primary conveyor belt (2); more than one initial agitator and matched primary conveyor belts thereof are disposed around the mixing agitator (3) at intervals.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTERING PRODUCT IN THE FORM OF SHEET OR BLOCK AND PRODUCTION DEVICE THEREOF
A method for manufacturing a product in the form of a sheet or a block, including: preparing an initial mixture including one or more stones or a stone-like granular material having a selected particle size and a binder; depositing a layer of the initial mixture having a predetermined thickness onto a surface of a conveyor belt; performing prepressing and finally obtaining a roughly formed material; systematically depositing layers of initial mixtures onto surface of the conveyor belt in parallel, making each layer not superposed in a direction perpendicular to surface of the conveyor belt, but arranged in sequence in a direction of width of the conveyor belt to form a multi-component or composite mixture structure; conveyor belt conveys the multi-component or composite mixture into a rotated container or support member; after discharged from the rotated container or support member, a final mixture is conveyed to perform subsequent pre-compression and hardening.
FIREFIGHTING POLYMER GEL PREPARATION ONBOARD AIRCRAFT
A tank on a firefighting aircraft initially is loaded with water. A polymer gel emulsion vessel is provided on the aircraft, but is not activated and mixed with tank water until such polymer gel preparation is initiated by an operator. When initiated, a pump pulls water from the tank and doses it with gel emulsion. Double elbows and/or the pump impeller fully activates the polymer gel. The activated polymer gel is mixed within the tank by one of a variety of systems including mixing paddles or sparging with gas. In one embodiment, a hollow tower of telescoping form has a float to keep an upper end near a surface in the tank and a sparging gas entry is a controlled distance below the surface, such that gas of limited pressure, such as from a ram air inlet can sparge and mix the water and activated polymer gel emulsion effectively.
