INTEGRATED VEHICLE HOOD
A hood of a vehicle includes a rear beam, a front end module or grill opening reinforcement, a thermoplastic central cover extending between the rear beam and the front end module, the thermoplastic central cover comprising reinforcements along sides of the thermoplastic central cover between the rear beam and the front end module, the reinforcements protruding away from a top surface of the thermoplastic central cover, with a flange extending from a side of the reinforcement and fenders connected to the front end module and thermoplastic central cover, wherein each fender extends over a reinforcement and connects to a top surface of the thermoplastic central cover.
INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT
An instrument panel reinforcement includes a cylindrical-shaped portion being formed as a single piece, being disposed at a driver's seat side, and extending in a vehicle width direction, and a groove-shaped portion being disposed at a front passenger's seat side, extending in the vehicle width direction, and opening in a predetermined direction. The instrument panel reinforcement is provided for a vehicle. The groove-shaped portion includes a reinforcement member being made of synthetic resin and mounted on a predetermined part of the groove-shaped portion, the part being away from the cylindrical-shaped portion by a predetermined distance.
Exterior trim part
In accordance with a first aspect of the invention, the exterior trim part for a vehicle comprises a fibrous porous structural layer. The exterior trim part further comprises at least one at least sectional perforated film layer, which is made of thermoplastic polyurethane with a melting temperature according to DSC of at least 140 C. The film layer is materially connected to the fibrous porous structural layer, at least in sections.
FILLER NECK HOUSING ARRANGEMENT
A filler neck housing arrangement for mounting on a body opening of a motor vehicle includes a housing body (12) which forms a passage opening for the insertion of at least one tank filler pipe. An annular sealing and holding body (10) is configured for holding the sealing and holding body on the body opening and for holding the sealing and holding body on the housing body. The sealing and holding body includes a first sealing member which, in the state of the sealing and holding body being held on the body opening, lies in a sealing manner against a surface (30) of a body part (28) bounding the body opening, and a second sealing member which, in the state of the sealing and holding body being held on the housing body, lies in a sealing manner against the housing body (12).
Impact absorption unit, manufacturing method of impact absorption unit, and impact absorption reinforcement
An impact absorption unit provided between an inside member and an outside member that form a vehicle body and configured to absorb an impact may include: a first absorption body which includes composite material and protrudes from an inside surface of the inside member toward the outer member, with an open receiving space formed in the first absorption body; and a second absorption body which includes composite material and protrudes from an inside surface of the outside member toward the inside member such that the second absorption body is inserted into the open receiving space.
VEHICLE BODY INCLUDING REINFORCEMENT ON ROCKER PANEL
A vehicle body includes a rocker panel elongated along an axis. The vehicle body includes a pillar fixed to the rocker panel and elongated in a direction transverse to the axis. The rocker panel includes a first flange and a second flange. The first flange and the second flange are on opposite sides of the pillar and spaced from each other in a direction parallel to the axis. The vehicle body includes a reinforcement fixed to the first and second flanges.
Reinforcing structure of vehicle frame member
A reinforcing structure of a vehicle frame member includes: ribs that integrally connect standing wall portions, that are formed at a planar portion of a vehicle frame member, to one another, and that reinforce the planar portion; portions of gradually changing thickness that are formed at connected portions of the ribs with the standing wall portions; portions of gradually changing height that are formed at the connected portions of the ribs with the standing wall portions; first curved portions that are formed at the portions of gradually changing thickness; second curved portions that are formed at the portions of gradually changing thickness; third curved portions that are formed at the portions of gradually changing height; and fourth curved portions that are formed at the portions of gradually changing height.
Saddle vehicle
A saddle vehicle includes an engine that is between a front wheel and a rear wheel and is mounted on a vehicle frame. The saddle vehicle includes: a rear fender at least partially covering the rear wheel from above; and an air cleaner between the rear fender and the engine; wherein the air cleaner is fixed to the rear fender.
AERODYNAMIC STRAKES FOR UNDERBODY PANELS OF MOTOR VEHICLES
Disclosed are body panel strakes for improved vehicle aerodynamics, methods for making and methods for using such aerodynamic strakes, and motor vehicles employing aerodynamic strakes for reducing turbulent flow and developing higher static pressure at the rear of the vehicle. An underbody panel for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The motor vehicle includes a vehicle body with an undercarriage spanning between front and rear vehicle ends. The underbody panel includes a panel body that attaches to the vehicle body and covers a portion of the undercarriage. One or more elongated air strakes are attached to and project from the panel body. Each air strake includes an elongated body that extends longitudinally with respect to the vehicle and has an inboard-facing curvature. The air strake guides airflow traveling fore-to-aft along the undercarriage in an inboard direction to thereby increase static pressure on the rear end of the vehicle.
Wind deflector having a fastening system for an unfoldable deflector element
A wind deflector for a vehicle roof having a displaceable cover element. The wind deflector can have an unfoldable deflector element made of a flat flexible material and whose lower edge portion can be fastened to a vehicle-mounted base via a lower edge strip and whose upper edge portion is fastened to a pivotable deploying bow via an upper edge strip. The lower edge strip and the vehicle-mounted base and/or the upper edge strip and the deploying bow can form a respective fastening system. The fastening system may have a fixing rib on one side and an arrangement of tabs attached to the fixing rib on the other side, the arrangement of tabs being formed by locking tabs and support tabs alternating along the fixing rib, the locking tabs and the support tabs being in contact with the fixing rib on sides facing away from each other.
