Coating material composition, and light-diffusing member manufactured using said coating material composition
A coating material composition include a hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin, a fluororesin, and light diffusive particles, and the hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin has a weight-average molecular weight in a range of 10,000 to 30,000 and a hydroxyl value in a range of 14 to 70, wherein a mass ratio of the fluororesin to the hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin (the fluororesin/the hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin) is in a range of 5/95 to 50/50. The coating material composition can provide the light diffusing properties capable of uniformly diffusing light while effectively masking a light source image.

EXPANDABLE POWDER COATING COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR POWDER COATING
The present invention proposes an expandable powder coating composition for formation of a coating layer on a metallic article, comprising epoxy resin and a curing agent for curing said epoxy resin, wherein said expandable powder coating composition further comprises heat expandable polymeric microstructures with a weight ratio within the range of 0.5-10% (w/w) with respect to the total mass of the expandable powder coating composition, said heat expandable polymeric microstructures having a shell comprising a thermoplastic, encapsulating a fluid core and the glass transition temperature of said thermoplastic is within the range of 90 to 180° C. The present invention further proposes a method for powder coating on a metallic article.

An aqueous based coating composition comprising a fatty amine quaternary having the structure of formula (I): R.sup.1R.sup.2R.sup.3R.sup.4N.sup.+X.sup.− wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 are independently selected from saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aralkyl, or alkenyl groups comprising from 1 to 30 carbon atoms, whereby at least one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 is a C12-C30 group, and X.sup.− is an anion from an inorganic or organic acid, is provided. The fatty amine quaternary may contain ethoxy and/or propoxy groups. One or more of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 may be substituted and contain one or more hydroxyl substituents or ether linkages. Methods for imparting water resistance to a wood substrate having up to 100% moisture by applying a coating composition having the fatty amine quaternary of formula (I), and for preparing an aqueous coating composition comprising the fatty amine quaternary of formula (I) are provided. Also provided is a coated water resistant wood substrate comprising the fatty amine quaternary of formula (I).

An aqueous coating agent composition includes (A) a curable resin in the form of an aqueous emulsion, (B) a surfactant, (C) solid particles, (D) one or more nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds, and (E) water. In various embodiments, component (C) includes a solid lubricant, and for reasons of environmental regulations, component (D) includes 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone.
ANTI-WEAR AGENT
Provided is an anti-wear agent capable of furnishing an epoxy resin coating film with anti-wear properties. The anti-wear agent is characterized in containing an alicyclic difunctional epoxy and a polymerization initiator or is characterized in containing a difunctional bisphenol A-type epoxy resin, a leveling agent and a polymerization initiator.
COATING AGENT COMPOSITION
A coating agent composition of the present invention has excellent water repellency and water sliding property, as well as favorable application workability, wear resistance, and storage stability. The coating agent composition is particularly useful in forming a thin coating layer for imparting water repellency, water sliding property, gloss, durability, and antifouling properties to a metal surface, a painted surface, or a resin surface of automotive bodies and railroad vehicles, and other similar objects. Specifically, the coating agent composition contained the following (A) to (D): (A) 100 parts by mass of a hydrolyzable silicone resin; (B) 0.1 to 50 parts by mass of a curing catalyst; (C) 100 to 5000 parts by mass of an organic solvent; and (D) 10 to 150 parts by mass of dimethylpolysiloxane having one or more alkoxysilyl groups at both ends of the molecular chain and having a viscosity at 25° C. within a particular range.

An object is to provide a plate shaped ferrite particle for a pigment, having both of electromagnetic wave shielding ability and designability, a resin molded material containing the plate shaped ferrite particle a pigment, and an electromagnetic wave shield housing for storing an electronic circuit manufactured by using the resin molded material. To achieve the object, the plate shaped ferrite particles for a pigment having a metallic luster, a resin molded material containing the plate shaped ferrite particles for a pigment, an electromagnetic wave shield housing for storing an electronic circuit manufactured by using the resin molded material are employed.
