The present invention provides hot melt adhesives for disposable products. The hot melt adhesives may be applied at high-speed and at low temperature ranges. The hot melt adhesives also provide excellent adhesion to polyethylene and a nonwoven fabric. The hot melt adhesive comprises (A) a thermoplastic block copolymer, which is a copolymer of a vinyl-based aromatic hydrocarbon with a conjugated diene compound; and (B) a propylene homopolymer having a melting point of 100° C. or lower, which is obtainable by polymerizing propylene using a metallocene catalyst. The disposable products are produced at high-speeds and low temperature with the inventive hot melt, and therefore, the disposal products are produced efficiently and safely, and a nonwoven fabric and a polyethylene film of the disposable products are less likely to peel.

Nonwoven joint tape having low moisture expansion properties and method for using same

The invention is directed to a joint tape for finishing a joint between boards comprising a nonwoven substrate that does not swell substantially in the presence of water. The invention further provides a method of finishing a joint between boards comprising (i) applying a joint tape of the invention to a joint between boards by embedding the joint tape in a first coat of joint compound, (ii) applying a second coat of joint compound over the tape, wherein step (ii) is carried out before the joint tape and joint compound applied in step (i) have substantially dried, and optionally (iii) applying a third fill or finish coat of joint compound over the tape, wherein step (iii) is carried out before the joint tape and second coat have substantially dried.

Adhesive tape with a long-fiber stitch-bonded fleece

An adhesive tape (1), including a substrate (6) including a stitched fleece (2) and an adhesive layer (7) applied on one side to the substrate (6), wherein the stitched fleece (2) is formed at least 80% of long fibers (3) that have a fiber length (L.sub.1) of 80 mm to 120 mm. The adhesive tape having improved abrasion properties while maintaining a high noise damping.

PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE CONTAINING NANOCRYSTALLINE CELLULOSE

A pressure-sensitive adhesive is provided including an emulsion polymer containing a (meth)acrylate copolymer and nanocrystalline cellulose. The inclusion of the nanocrystalline cellulose results in an increase in the overlap shear properties of the adhesive while maintaining the peel adhesion. Articles and emulsions including the pressure-sensitive adhesive are also provided.
