MULTIVALENT VACCINE COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF

Compositions and methods are described for inducing an immune response against extra-intestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli (ExPEC) to thereby provide immune protection against diseases associated with ExPEC. In particular, compositions and methods are described for using conjugates of E. coli polysaccharide antigen O75 covalently bound to a carrier protein for the prevention of invasive ExPEC disease.

Vaccine for immunocompromised hosts

The invention provides peptides derived from a ubiquitous protein, and nucleic acids encoding such peptides. The invention extends to various uses of these peptides and nucleic acids, for example, as antigens for use in vaccines per se and in the generation of antibodies for use in therapeutic drugs for the prevention, amelioration or treatment of infections caused by sepsis-inducing bacteria. The invention particularly benefits immunocompromised hosts such as neonates, babies, children, women of fertile age, pregnant women, foetuses, the elderly and diabetics.

Method of Treatment for HIV Infection

A method of treating an HIV infected human is carried out by injecting into the lymph nodes of the HIV infected human a composition comprising an amount of calcium bicarbonate dissolved or dispersed in a carrier fluid capable of being absorbed into the CD4+ cells (T cells) of the lymph nodes. This forms modified CD4+ cells that present antigens that can be then targeted and destroyed by the HIV infected human's natural immune system so that the CD4+ cells of the HIV infected are destroyed, thus preventing replication of the HIV virus. This may be used in conjunction with reducing the HIV in the blood by a liver treatment using a composition comprising HIV virus, blood lysine, and E. coli and/or dialysis using centrifuging and microfiltration.

VACCINE FOR PROTECTION AGAINST ETEC-INDUCED DIARRHEA COMPRISING DMLT

An oral vaccine for immunization against ETEC-induced diarrhea, comprising inactivated Escherichia coli cells expressing an ETEC colonization factor antigen and dmLT protein adjuvant, wherein the vaccine preferably comprises less than 10.sup.13 cells per unit dose.

Pharmaceutical composition containing a stabilised mRNA optimised for translation in its coding regions

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a modified mRNA that is stabilised by sequence modifications and optimised for translation. The pharmaceutical composition according to the invention is particularly well suited for use as an inoculating agent, as well as a therapeutic agent for tissue regeneration. In addition, a process is described for determining sequence modifications that promote stabilisation and translational efficiency of modified mRNA of the invention.

EXPEC GLYCOCONJUGATE VACCINE FORMULATIONS

Compositions and methods for inducing an immune response against extra-intestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli (ExPEC) are described. In particular, multivalent vaccines containing O-antigen polysaccharide covalently bound to an exotoxin A of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (EPA) carrier protein that can withstand multiple environmental stresses are describe.

Pharmaceutical compositions comprising bacterial delivery vehicles and uses thereof

The present invention relates to the delivery of a payload by bacterial delivery vehicle, i.e. the encapsulation and the delivery of a single plasmid by different bacterial virus particles. More specifically, the present invention concerns a pharmaceutical composition comprising a payload packaged in at least two different bacterial delivery vehicles and a method of production thereof.
