Method and apparatus for maintaining a registration for an emergency service

The invention relates to a session control entity, subscription entity, methods and computer programs for transmitting a request to terminate a registration of a user, determining if the user is registered for an emergency service, for maintaining the user registered for the emergency service, if based on the determination the user is registered for the emergency service, and transmitting an indication indicating that the user is registered for an emergency service if based on the determination the user is registered for the emergency service.

Public safety system

The disclosure relates to a method for discovery by a non-discoverable first public safety user equipment (PS UE), of a discoverable second PS UE in a public safety system comprising a telecommunications network providing a public safety spectrum for wireless access of the first PS UE and the second PS UE. The method can comprise for the first non-discoverable PS UE: transmitting synchronization information for the second PS UE; receiving at least one proximity announcement from the second PS UE in accordance with the transmitted synchronization information. The disclosure also relates to a non-discoverable public safety user device configured for performing the method, and relates to a PS server system arranged for assisting in the discovery of PS UEs.

A system that allows for performance indicators such as a success rate of a broadcast message or latency between a sender and mobile station of a broadcast message, during emergency broadcasts to a wireless transmit/receive unit, such as a mobile phone.

Method and system to include TETRA SS-LE member in public safety (PS) long term evolution group call service

Method and system to include a TETRA member (subscriber) in an ongoing PS-LTE group call using SS-LE, by mapping a plurality of specific SS-LE messages is disclosed. The embodiments herein enable TETRA SS-LE service to interwork with PS LTE GCS. The process involves the steps of queuing the TETRA call leg at the PS LTE GCS AS, informing the TETRA SwMI to activate SS-LE for a TETRA member, embedding a SS-LE PDU as a payload in the SIP messaging module, defining and interrogating a SS-LE service on a GCS AS via the authorized user on the TETRA SwMI or on the PS-LTE network. The TETRA member is connected to the ongoing group call through a gateway. The TETRA SwMI works as the TETRA core and the LTE to TETRA Gateway facilitates the process of message mapping and protocol conversion.

Location determination of a mobile device based on various parameters

Locating a mobile device in the event of an emergency may be based on common location techniques, such as GPS and geolocation. Additional location techniques may be performed in a sample method of operation which includes receiving a call for assistance from a mobile device, retrieving location information associated with a mobile communication signal associated with the mobile device, retrieving environmental factors associated with an estimated location of the mobile device, and determining the mobile device location based on the mobile communication signal and the environmental factors.

LOCATION BY REFERENCE FOR AN OVER-THE-TOP EMERGENCY CALL

Methods and apparatuses for providing support for location and emergency calls for an over-the-top (OTT) service provider (SP) are disclosed. An access network node receives a first message from a UE, determines a location reference for the UE, and sends a second message including the location reference to the UE. The access network node may determine the location reference itself on behalf of a location server or may request the location server to assign and return the location reference. The access network node may serve as a proxy and avoid interaction between the UE and the location server. The location server may later receive a location request for the UE from a network entity wherein the location request includes the location reference. The location server may locate the UE using the location reference and return the UE location to the network entity.

SENDING EMERGENCY MESSAGES FROM A COMMUNICATION DEVICE TRIGGERED BY AN IMPACT EVENT
20170339541 · 2017-11-23 ·

Embodiments provide techniques for sending emergency messages from a communication device triggered by an impact event. In accordance with one embodiment, a system is provided that includes a memory to store sensor data and a processor operatively coupled to the memory. The processor to receive inertial sensor data related an impact of a client device from an impact sensor associated with the client device. The sensor data indicates an amount of force applied to the client device with respect to the impact. A triggering event is detected based on the impact of the client device. A mode of the device is activated based on the triggering event. Responsive to detecting the triggering event, a message is generated that indicates a status of user associated with the client device. A message indicating a status of user associated with the device is generated with respect to the triggering event.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DATACASTING AND CONTENT MANAGEMENT

A method and system for datacasting and content management. Such a system may have, as its core, a dashboard system for managing data feeds. A dashboard system may receive data feeds from one or more associated devices, such as the hardware devices of first responders or other public safety officers, and may aggregate and prioritize them. The dashboard system may then manage, prioritize and encrypt the video, files and other data in preparation for broadcast over the television or satellite transmitter, via, for example, a television broadcasting station, and may then broadcast the video, files, or other data to a plurality of users. Alerts and notifications may be created, files attached and links to video streams distributed over this same broadcast network. The broadcasting system may be able to send multiple streams of content simultaneously, may be able to target specific users to be broadcast to, and may be able to incorporate data from public data sources, such as public security cameras.

Supporting emergency calls on a wireless local area network

Several methods are provided for communicating emergency call capability information between a station and an access point (AP) in a wireless local area network. The methods include advertising by the AP of its emergency call capabilities and announcing by the station of its emergency call capabilities. The AP can advertise its emergency call capabilities in a beacon frame, a probe response frame, a reassociation response frame, or a reauthentication response frame. The station can announce its emergency call capabilities in an association request frame, a reassociation request frame, an authentication request frame, or a reauthentication request frame.

Information processing apparatus, information processing system, and information processing method

An information processing apparatus is provided that includes a memory and a processor couple to the memory and configured to execute steps of storing corresponding information associating a predetermined event with position information relating to a position of an output apparatus and providing information corresponding to the position; acquiring sender information from a sender, wherein the sender information includes sender identification information of the sender and the own apparatus information that has been output by the output apparatus and acquired by the sender; collecting event information relating to the predetermined event that is occurring; selecting the providing information to be provided to the sender based on the acquired sender information and the collected event information; and sending the selected providing information to the sender.
