Passive solar panel cooling
A solar panel enclosure converts sunlight to electricity. To remove the large amount of heat from the enclosure a chambered heat exchanger (CHE) is thermally coupled thereto. An air temperature differential is created between chamber air in a CHE portion and chamber air within a CHE heat exchanging portion. When a threshold thermal gradient is reached, air pressure that keeps the chamber air static is overcome creating airflow within the chamber. The airflow draws cooler ambient air from a chamber inlet. Heat from the enclosure is transferred to the cool air and is exhausted from a chamber outlet.

Shaft bearing for solar panels and drive unit
The present invention relates to a device for the mounting and single-axis solar position tracking of a plurality of tracking units arranged successively in the north-south direction for solar panels having multiple drive units for this solar position tracking, wherein each tracking unit consists of a supporting framework for two adjacent solar panel assemblies each having multiple solar panels, which are installed on panel carriers, each have an associated main support shaft and a drive unit, wherein each main support shaft is connected at the ends to a main support receptacle in each case, the imaginary longitudinal axis through all main support receptacles forms the overall axis of rotation of the device, wherein the overall axis of rotation can have a bend, the drive unit is connected to two directly adjacent main support receptacles, so that a drive unit communicates in each case with two main support shafts, and causes the tracking of both solar panel assemblies from east to west and back by extending or retracting a telescopic arm, wherein each main support shaft is only connected to one drive unit, the entire arrangement is supported by piledriven profiles and each drive unit is connected to a piledriven profile and the mounting plates of the two main support receptacles supported on this piledriven profile.
Flexible printed wiring board and photovoltaic module
A flexible printed wiring board includes a first strip-shaped member and a second strip-shaped member each including a conductive part and an insulating part covering the conductive part; and a first connecting member including a conductive part and an insulating part covering the conductive part, the first connecting member connecting a first end of the first strip-shaped member and a first end of the second strip-shaped member to each other. The conductive parts of the first strip-shaped member, the second strip-shaped member, and the first connecting member are continuous with each other. The first strip-shaped member and the second strip-shaped member are capable of being linearly arranged when the first connecting member is bent and the first end of the first strip-shaped member and the first end of the second strip-shaped member face each other.
Methods and systems for desiccant air conditioning
A desiccant air conditioning system for treating an air stream entering a building space includes a conditioner having structures arranged in a substantially vertical orientation with an air stream gap between adjacent structures. An air stream flows through the air stream gaps and is exposed to the liquid desiccant and dehumidified when in some of the flow paths and exposed to water and humidified when in other flow paths. Each structure further includes a separate collector at a lower end of the at least one surface of that structure for collecting the liquid desiccant or water that has flowed across the at least one surface of the structure. The system also includes a diverter for diverting a portion of the air stream that has been dehumidified to a flow path where it is exposed to water where it absorbs a portion of the water and is thereby cooled.
HIGH EFFICIENCY CONFIGURATION FOR SOLAR CELL STRING
A high efficiency configuration for a string of solar cells comprises series-connected solar cells arranged in an overlapping shingle pattern. Front and back surface metallization patterns may provide further increases in efficiency.
Solar cell assembly II
The present invention relates to a solar cell assembly that includes a solar cell attached to a bonding pad and a cooling substrate, wherein the bonding pad is attached to a surface of the cooling substrate by a thermally conductive adhesive and electrically contacted to the bonding pad and cooling substrate by a bonding wire. Alternatively, the bonding pad is attached to a surface of the cooling substrate by a thermally and electrically conductive adhesive.
EMULSION SPECTRAL FLUID FILTER CAPABLE OF CONTROLLING LIGHT WAVELENGTH ABSORPTION, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
An emulsion spectrum fluid filter capable of controlling light wavelength absorption includes a transparent channel formed as a tube of a 90 degrees-rotated U shape, and an emulsion received in the transparent channel, wherein the emulsion may include dispersed oil and surfactant. Further, a method for preparing the emulsion is disclosed.
Heat Dissipation for a Photovoltaic Junction Box
An apparatus of a junction box component housed in a junction box and designed to be coupled to a power generator. The junction box component may include one or more bypass mechanisms configured to bypass one or more substrings of the power generator in a case of malfunction or mismatch between the substring and the remainder of the power generators. The one or more bypass mechanisms may generate heat which may be transferred out of the junction box. The junction box component may be designed to conduct the heat towards the base of the junction box and/or the cover of the junction box. A heat dissipation mechanism may be mounted on the base and/or the cover. A bypass mechanism may bypass the entire power generator.
