The sanitizing device may include a spray canister configured to accommodate a volume of a sanitizing fluid, the spray canister having at least one spray head extending therefrom, wherein the spray head is configured to expel sanitizing fluid when depressed; a body with an openable lid, the body configured to accommodate the spray canister, wherein a distance between an upper surface of the spray canister and an interior surface of the lid is sufficient to accommodate the medical device; and a lid protrusion extending downwardly from an interior surface of the lid, wherein the lid protrusion aligns with the spray head when the spray canister is positioned within the body. When the lid is closed, the lid protrusion may depress the spray head, resulting in the sanitizing fluid being expelled from the spray head.

Optionally, the second product component warms in the container at least ten degrees Celsius and undergoes a phase change from a solid or liquid to a gas, which increases pressure in the container and functions as a propellant and/or as an expansion agent.

A valve shut-off element (30) slides between rest position and dispensing positions. The valve shut-off element is urged towards its rest position by a spring (8) cooperating with the valve body (10) and the valve shut-off element. The lower edge of the chamber insert forms a flange and has a downward axial projection (48). The bottom seal has an axial opening (225) accepting an axial projection (45) and passing through the axial opening. The rest position of the valve shut-off element is defined by contact between the axial projection and a part of the valve shut-off element.

Metering valve for dispensing a fluid product, having a valve body containing a metering chamber, the metering chamber defined by a chamber insert and two O-rings, a valve stem seal and a chamber seal. The chamber insert has a cylindrical wall, an upper edge that cooperates with the valve stem seal and a lower edge that cooperates with the chamber seal, a valve stem sliding axially in the valve body between a rest position and a dispensing position, to selectively dispense the contents of said metering chamber. The said valve stem is urged towards its rest position by a spring that cooperates, on the one hand, with the valve body and on the other hand with the valve stem. The upper edge of the chamber insert has an opening connecting the metering chamber to an external volume arranged outside the chamber insert, between the valve body and the cylindrical wall.
