Method and system for improving the efficiency of state information transfer over a wireless communications network
The present invention is directed to a system and method for managing state information related to an interactive application to accommodate one or more users participating in an interactive application session, wherein the state information comprises local state information specific to each of the one or more user's unique view of the interactive application and global state information. The system of the present invention may comprise a telecommunications network; an application server in communication with the telecommunications network for managing the global state information relative to all of the users participating in the interactive application session; and at least one mobile client device in communication with the application server over the telecommunications network for managing the local state information for each of the one or more users. The method of the present invention may comprise the steps of structuring the state information for optimized delivery over the telecommunications network; and transferring the state information over the telecommunications network.
System and method for building digital objects with blocks
Systems and methods are provided for building digital objects using component modular objects, such as block objects. The block objects have properties defining their appearance and interaction characteristics. When two or more block objects are placed together to form an object, their interaction characteristics define how they behave and so how the computer system will handle the representation of the block objects and the new object.
MANAGING GAME METRICS AND AUTHORIZATIONS
Various metrics as may be deployed in an active, passive, or hybrid validation architecture are disclosed. A computing device configured to monitor network game activity may identify an inconsistency between user game data and a particular game metric governing a particular aspect of the network gaming environment. Upon identification of an inconsistency between game data and a game metric, which may indicative of illicit game play, a validation process (e.g., active, passive, and/or hybrid) may be implemented to further confirm the existence of illicit game. Alternatively, an action to maintain integrity of the gaming community may be executed without further confirmation whereby a purportedly illicit game device may be ejected from the network.
ELECTRONIC MULTIUSER SCREEN PLATFORM, ESPECIALLY FOR GAMES, AND METHOD OF CHECKING AUTHORIZATION FOR THE EXECUTION OF PROGRAMS SUCH AS GAMES
The invention concerns an electronic platform-screen comprising (a) a globally flat case (200); electronic processing, storage and interface means housed in the case; (c) a flat screen display (110) arranged at an upper surface (202) of the case; and (d) a plurality of user-interface elements (300) for several users, distributed around the display screen and connected to the interface means housed in the case. The invention also concerns a method for controlling clearance for executing downloaded programmes such as games. The invention is applicable in particular to electronic games involving several players.
Determining whether object is genuine or fake in Metaverse
A server computer is connected to a plurality of client computers through a network, and controls objects in a Metaverse accessed by the client computers. The server computer includes a storage unit for storing an object ID specifying an object accessible in the Metaverse by the plurality of client computers and authenticity information associated with the object ID. The authenticity information indicates that the object is genuine. The server computer also includes a communication unit for communicating with each of the client computers. The server computer also includes an enquiry unit for causing the communication unit to transmit the authenticity information corresponding to the object ID to at least one of the plurality of client computers upon receipt of an enquiry request to enquire about the object ID of the object from one of the plurality of client computers.
Separable URL gaming system
A system and method for enabling one network to use the functionality of another network is provided. The system comprises a first network system having a first network functionality and a second network system having a second network functionality. A server connected to the second network system passes directions through the first network to enable a component connected to both the first network system and the second network system to perform a second network functionality.
Advertisement delivery system, advertisement delivery method, and advertisement delivery program
A system for delivering advertisements is provided capable of effectively advertising companies or products to users through a game as well as attracting the users' interest by varying the game difficulty in real-time according to user's responses. The system for delivering advertisements comprises a registration unit (212, 214) for registering information on one or more products provided from a company, information on the company, and condition information set by the company on conditions to win the products (e.g., whether or not a user accessed a company home page, browsed a movie, answered a questionnaire); a condition information providing unit 215 for providing the user with the registered information; an response information analyzing unit 221 for analyzing response information from the user as a response to the provided information; a game condition setting unit 222 for setting the game conditions; and a game execution unit 223 for determining whether or not the user wins the respective products based on the set conditions, wherein the system changes condition settings of tools for winning the respective products in the game based on the analysis results of the response information.
Virtual reality gaming utilizing mobile gaming
A mobile device is configured as a point and shoot type weapon for gaming, training, or the like. Utilizing the mobile device based weapon, such as a smart phone for example, a user thereof can simply aim the mobile device at a target and shoot. Shooting may be accomplished by tapping the mobile device, activating a button or soft key on the mobile device, making a gesture (e.g., moving a finger as if a trigger is being pulled), providing an audible command (e.g., “shoot”), or the like.
VIDEO GAMES ON DEMAND WITH ANTI-PIRACY SECURITY
A method includes receiving, at a media device, a video game from a server via a network. The method includes installing, via the media device, the video game to a storage device associated with the media device. The method includes receiving, at the media device, a request to play the video game. The method includes sending an authorization request to the server from the media device via the network in response to the request. The method includes receiving authorization to execute the video game at the media device. The authorization is based on an identifier of the media device included in the authorization request being associated with rights allowing execution of the video game. The method also includes executing the video game via the media device in response to receiving the authorization.
Computer simulation method with user-defined transportation and layout
In one implementation, a method comprises: obtaining an input from a client device indicating an entry transaction between an avatar and a portal of a modeled space; in response to obtaining the input from the client device indicating the entry transaction between the avatar and the portal of the modeled space, determining an identifier associated with the avatar; determining whether a custom destination has been defined for the portal based on the identifier for the avatar; causing the avatar to enter a default destination environment for the portal according to a determination that a custom destination has not been defined for the portal; and causing the avatar to enter a custom destination environment that is distinct from the default destination environment according to a determination that a custom destination has been defined for the portal.
