Solar power system
Provided is an inexpensive and simple solar power system. A solar power system according to the present invention includes: a heat collection apparatus (2, 4); a steam turbine (5), a power generator (16); a superheated steam supply line which supplies the steam turbine with superheated steam generated by the heat collection apparatus; a water supply line which condenses the steam expelled from the steam turbine into water and supplies the condensed water to the heat collection apparatus; a heat storage device (8) which has a heat storage medium; a first line which branches from the superheated steam supply line and which supplies the heat storage device with the superheated steam flowing through the superheated steam supply line; a second line which branches from the water supply line and which supplies the heat storage device with the water flowing through the water supply line; and a third line which supplies the steam turbine with superheated steam generated by the heat storage device. The heat storage device stores the heat of the superheated steam which has flowed through the first line in the heat storage medium, and heats the water which has flowed through the second line with the heat storage medium to thereby generate the superheated steam.
Effective and scalable solar energy collection and storage
Solar energy collection and storage systems and processes of using such systems. Non-direct solar energy collection and storage systems can generate electricity from solar radiation using a solar thermoelectric generator and at the same time capture solar thermal energy in a working fluid. The working fluid can then transfer the heat to a thermal storage medium where the heat can be retrieved on demand to generate electricity and heat a fluid. Direct solar energy collection and storage systems can store solar thermal energy in a thermal storage medium directly from solar radiation and the heat from the thermal storage medium can be used on demand to generate electricity and heat a fluid.
Bypass system for a solar thermal power plant
A solar thermal power system includes a solar receiver for heating thermal energy storage fluid to be stored and utilized from a thermal energy storage arrangement having hot and cold storage tanks. The system includes a steam generator arrangement, which utilizes the heat of the thermal energy storage fluid to produce steam to run a turbine. The arrangement includes a bypass line configured to bypass the hot storage tank from the steam generator arrangement, and to supply the hot thermal energy storage fluid from the solar receiver directly to the steam generator arrangement, during day times, when the solar receiver the steam generator arrangement are both in operating mode, thereby recovering stored potential energy available in the down corner hot thermal energy storage fluid from the solar receiver.
THERMAL HEAT STORAGE SYSTEM
A thermal heat storage system is provided, including a storage tank, a heat injection system and a heat recovery system. The storage tank holds a material for thermal storage. The heat injection system is coupled to an intake on the storage tank. The heat recovery system is coupled to an output on the storage tank and also uses vapor under depressurized conditions for heat transfer.
HYBRID SOLAR HEAT ABSORPTION COOLING SYSTEM
Provided is an hybrid solar heat absorption cooling system comprising: an absorption refrigerator; a solar heat steam generator configured to generate steam using solar heat; a daytime steam supplying unit configured to supply steam generated by the solar heat steam generator during the day as a heat source for the absorption refrigerator; a daytime hot water storage tank configured to store hot water discharged from the absorption refrigerator during the day; a nighttime hot water supplying unit configured to supply hot water stored in the daytime hot water storage tank during the night as a heat source for the absorption refrigerator; a nighttime hot water storage tank configured to store hot water discharged from the absorption refrigerator during the night; and a daytime hot water supplying unit configured to supply hot water stored in the nighttime hot water storage tank during the day to the solar heat steam generator.
