WAVELENGTH CONVERSION MEMBER, BACKLIGHT UNIT, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING WAVELENGTH CONVERSION MEMBER
A wavelength conversion member, is provided with a wavelength conversion layer that includes quantum dots and is interposed between two barrier layers. The wavelength conversion member includes a light scattering layer that is provided between the barrier layers and the wavelength conversion layer, in which one of the barrier layers closest to the light scattering layer is formed of an inorganic component, the light scattering layer includes a binder, which is formed of either a compound having a hydrogen bonding functional group and a polymerizable group in a molecule or an organic metal coupling agent, and scattering particles having a diameter R of 0.2 to 5 μm, a thickness d of the light scattering layer is 0.2 to 4 μm, a thickness D of the wavelength conversion layer is 10 to 100 μm, and a ratio of d to D is 0.2% to 10%.
COLOR CONVERSION FILM AND PLANE LIGHT SOURCE USING THE SAME
A color conversion film includes a silicon substrate, and several first quantum dots and second quantum dots dispersed within the silicon substrate, wherein each of the first quantum dots includes silicone amine polymer and red quantum dots, and each of the second quantum dots includes silicone amine polymer and green quantum dots. A plane light source including the color conversion film is provided.
ROTATABLE HEAT SINK WITH INTERNAL CONVECTION
According to the present specification there is provided a rotatable heat sink device which comprises a heat sink configured to enclose a cooling fluid, and the heat sink is rotatable about a rotational axis. The heat sink, in turn, comprises a first portion configured to receive thermal energy from a source external to the heat sink, and a second portion configured to dissipate at least a portion of the thermal energy to surroundings external to the device. The device further comprises an optical wavelength conversion material disposed on an outside surface of the first portion of the heat sink, and an agitator disposed inside the heat sink. The agitator is rotationally independent of the heat sink and is configured to promote circulation of the cooling fluid between the first portion and the second portion.
ASSEMBLY FOR A CAP WITH AN ILLUMINATED PLASTIC BILL
A cap with an illuminated plastic bill assembly. An illumination assembly provides power and controls for a light source that is used to illuminate the edge or surface of a plastic cap bill. The light passes into and through the plastic cap bill, causing the plastic cap bill to light up and glow in a variety of ways. The plastic bill can also be further decorated in various ways to allow for unique designs to light up and stand out. A cap crown portion provides the foundation to which the illumination assembly and plastic cap bill can be connected to through connection means. All of the listed components combined provides an assembly for a cap with an illuminated plastic bill.

LIGHTING DEVICE INCLUDING PUMP RADIATION SOURCE
A lighting device is provided with a pump radiation source for emitting pump radiation, a first phosphor element for converting the radiation into a first conversion light, a second phosphor element for generating a second conversion light, and a coupling-out mirror arranged downstream of the first element in a beam path with at least part of the first light. The first light is a broadband conversion light having components in first and second spectral ranges, and the coupling-out mirror is transmissive only in one of the two ranges such that, lights having first and second spectral components in the first and second spectral ranges are separated. The second element is arranged in a beam path with the light having the second component and, in response to this excitation, emits the second light, which can be used jointly with the light having the first component in order to increase the efficiency.

To provide a wavelength converting member that allows for improved yield, in which air bubbles can be prevented from being left in a resin containing a wavelength converting material; a light emitting device, a light emitting element, a light source unit, a display device, and a light guide member using the wavelength converting member; and a method of producing the wavelength converting member. A wavelength converting member has a receptacle provided with a receiving space; and a molding containing a wavelength converting material, placed in the receiving space. This allows air bubbles from being left in the wavelength converting material and improves the yield.
LIGHT SOURCE APPARATUS, IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS, AND OPTICAL UNIT
This light source apparatus includes a wheel, a motor, a rotation member, and a contact member. The wheel includes a light emitter that is excited by excitation light and emits visible light, and a base that includes a first surface and a second surface opposite thereto, supports the light emitter on either one of the first and second surfaces, and has a first linear expansion coefficient. The motor generates rotational force for rotating the base. The rotation member is connected to the first surface of the base, rotates integrally with the base due to the rotational force of the motor, and has a second linear expansion coefficient different from the first linear expansion coefficient. The contact member is connected to the second surface of the base and has a third linear expansion coefficient whose magnitude relationship to the first linear expansion coefficient is equal to a magnitude relationship of the second linear expansion coefficient to the first linear expansion coefficient.

Photovoltaic cells incorporating the compounds A/M/X compounds as hole transport materials are provide. The A/M/X compounds comprise one or more A moieties, one or more M atoms and one or more X atoms. The A moieties are selected from organic cations and elements from Group 1 of the periodic table, the M atoms are selected from elements from at least one of Groups 3, 4, 5, 13, 14 or 15 of the periodic table, and the X atoms are selected from elements from Group 17 of the periodic table.
