Link aggregation (LAG) information exchange protocol
In one embodiment, a switch includes a processor and logic integrated with and/or executable by the processor to receive details about which link aggregation (LAG) information about a first peer switch will be exchanged with the switch, send to the first peer switch, prior to receiving the LAG information about the first peer switch, details about which LAG information about the switch will be exchanged with the first peer switch, receive the LAG information about the first peer switch, store the LAG information about the first peer switch, and use the LAG information about the first peer switch and the LAG information about the switch to determine load balancing across one or more connections between the switch and the first peer switch.
Method and device for controlling the fusion of a heterogeneous system
A device for controlling the fusion of a heterogeneous system, which receives a first data stream from a MAC layer of a WLAN through a LLC sub-layer and a second data stream from a MAC layer of a cellular network through a PDCP and a RLC sub-layer, and for fusing the first data stream and the second data stream into one data stream and transmitting the fused one data stream to a network layer. The device demultiplexes the data stream from the network layer into a third data stream corresponding to the MAC layer of the WLAN and a fourth data stream corresponding to the MAC layer of the cellular network, and transmits the third data stream to the MAC layer of the WLAN through the LLC and the fourth data stream to the MAC layer of the cellular network through the PDCP and the RLC sub-layer.
VARIABLE LINK AGGREGATION
A system and method to transmit frames from a first node to a second node over a plurality of radio links comprising a classifier to classify said frames according to one of a plurality of flow and a sequence number within said one of said plurality of flow and adding said flow and sequence number in a header of said classified frame a splitter receiving said classified frames from said classifier and distributing said classified frames on one of said plurality of radio links for transmission to said second node, a joiner receiving said classified frames and reordering them using an indexed sequence queue corresponding to each of said plurality of flows, a timer for waiting for frames missing in the sequence in one of said indexed sequence queue, wherein when said timer expires, if said frame has not arrived it is deemed lost and a forwarder to extract frames from said sequence queue to forward.
Network-link method useful for a last-mile connectivity in an edge-gateway multipath system
In one exemplary aspect, an edge-gateway multipath method includes the step of providing an edge device in a local network communicatively coupled with a cloud-computing service in a cloud-computing network. A set of wide area network (WAN) links connected to the edge device are automatically detected. The WAN links are automatically measured without the need for an external router. The edge device is communicatively coupled with a central configuration point in the cloud-computing network. The method further includes the step of downloading, from the central configuration point, an enterprise-specific configuration data into the edge device. The enterprise-specific configuration data includes the gateway information. The edge device is communicatively coupled with a gateway in the cloud-computing network. The communicatively coupling of the edge device with the gateway includes a multipath (MP) protocol.
SERVICE TRANSMITTING METHOD AND DEVICE, AND SERVICE RECEIVING METHOD AND DEVICE
Provided are a service transmitting method and device, and a service receiving method and device. The service transmitting method comprises steps of: mapping a client service to at least one service flow of a first rate; dividing at least one service flow of the first rate into a plurality of service flows of other rates, and filling the service flows of other rates with overhead blocks; and transmitting the service flows through channels of corresponding rates. By means of the scheme according to the embodiment, a service transmission between members of different rates can be implemented.
Method and apparatus for web browsing on multihomed mobile devices
In one example, a method and apparatus for web browsing on multihomed mobile devices having multiple communication interfaces are disclosed. In one example, the method establishes a primary multiple path transmission control protocol subflow for the transfer of a resource from a server to a user endpoint device. The method then determines a threshold of resource size. When the size of the resource is determined to exceed the threshold, the method establishes a secondary multipath transmission control protocol connection that cooperates with the primary multiple path transmission control protocol subflow for the transfer of the resource from the server to the user endpoint device.
Method for link aggregation and related products
Provided are a method for link aggregation and related products. The method includes the following. Link tag information in a first data packet to be transmitted is acquired. A first wireless communication link, from multiple wireless communication links enabled, corresponding to the link tag information in the first data packet is determined. The first data packet is transmitted via a link interface of the first wireless communication link.
Systems and methods for multi-tier resource and subsystem orchestration and adaptation
Systems, methods, and machine-readable media to orchestrate process-performing resources and process protocols particularized to individual resources and loads are provided. Data changes in the data streams may be detected and identified. Data items from the data streams may be aggregated. Protocols that include parameter constraints according to specifications of process performance and/or operation performance may be identified. Operation-performing resources may be modeled with metrics being a function of protocols and consolidated data portions. A composite may be created that specifies a configuration a subsystem. The composite may be transmitted, and allocation of operation-performing resources to perform the defined process in accordance with the selected protocols may be controlled.
Network layer channel bonding
Implementations of the disclosure are directed to network layer channel bonding. In one implementation, a method comprises: operating a first communication device to transmit data to a second communication device over multiple communication links, each of the communication links associated with a respective communication medium; receiving, at the first communication device, an input data stream for transmission to the second communication device, the input data stream comprising packets; determining, at the first communication device, a throughput and latency of each of the communication links; based on the determined throughput and latency of each of the communication links: dividing the packets into multiple sets, each of the sets configured to be transmitted by the first communication device over a respective one of the communication links; and transmitting, from the first communication device to the second communication device, each of the sets of packets over the set's respective communication link.
Systems and methods for managing network traffic with a network operator
A method for managing network slice enabled traffic on a communications network is disclosed. The network slice is instantiated on the communications network for providing connectivity resources to a network operator using the communications network. The method comprises measuring a traffic level indicative of the traffic enabled by the network slice; and adjusting the traffic enabled by the network slice in accordance with the traffic level and a network operator enabled function associated with the network slice.
