Display systems and methods for aircraft

A display system of an aircraft includes a display device defining a display area, a vision system for generating an image of an operating environment of the aircraft on the display area, data processors operatively coupled to the display device and the vision system, and non-transitory machine-readable memory operatively coupled to the one or more data processors and storing instructions executable by the one or more processors and configured to cause the one or more processors to, when a condition of the aircraft is met, cause an alteration of a display of flight information on the display area to declutter a cutout region in the image generated by the vision system, the cutout region devoid of imaging generated by the vision system and displaying an Approach Lighting System (ALS) of a runway of intended landing for the aircraft.

Message arbitrator for aircraft trajectory management

A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product for managing a trajectory for an aircraft. A computer system receives an agreed trajectory change for a future portion of the trajectory for the aircraft. The strategic trajectory message is approved by a strategic air traffic controller. The computer system determines whether the agreed trajectory change has been received within a strategic time horizon for making strategic changes to the trajectory. The computer system sends the agreed trajectory change for a future portion of the trajectory for the aircraft to an aircraft computer system in the aircraft in response to the agreed trajectory change being received within the strategic time horizon.

System and method to display differential ground speed on a cockpit display

Systems and methods are provided for displaying differential ground speed for traffic surrounding an aircraft. The system includes an aircraft control panel in a cockpit of an ownship aircraft and a digital traffic display located on the control panel. The digital traffic display provides cockpit display of traffic information (CDTI) that shows a speed scale with a graphical display of the ground speed of the ownship aircraft and the ground speed of traffic to follow (TTF). The separation scale also shows a graphical display of a separation distance between the ownship aircraft and the TTF. A change in separation distance is calculated based of the difference in ground speed between the ownship aircraft and the TTF. An advisory/warning indicator that shows a color-coded status of the change in separation distance in comparison a pre-determined desired separation distance between the ownship aircraft and the TTF.

A method and apparatus dynamically update customized integrated terminal approach procedure interfaces based on changing real-time events associated with aircraft and airports. A dynamic approach procedures application extracts and analyzes terminal approach data, aircraft data, airport data and real-time weather data to automatically generate an integrated terminal approach interface. The integrated terminal approach interface presents dynamic digital approach information, the interface including a map interface and a procedure side bar displaying route-related procedures data to assist pilots with selecting a route into the destination airport. As conditions change, displayed terminal approach data within the map and procedure side bar is updated and route recommendations are refined, to assist a user in selecting destination airports, routes, and relevant approach procedures.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR RECOMMENDATIONS

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for providing transportation corridor recommendations. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, by one or more processors and from a transportation corridor database, a set of transportation corridors, receiving, by the one or more processors, vehicle configuration data for a vehicle, receiving, by the one or more processors, an indication of a trigger event, selecting, by the one or more processors, a subset of transportation corridors from the set of transportation corridors based at least in part on the vehicle configuration data and the trigger event, providing, via a user interface of the vehicle, one or more of a visual representation of the subset of transportation corridors and a visual representation of a recommendation of a transportation corridor of the subset, wherein the recommendation is based at least in part on an efficiency metric value for the transportation corridor.

Distributed event management framework for aerial vehicles

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an event management framework configured to mitigate events impacting the operation of a vehicle. Embodiments can receive a set of vehicle operation constraints, receive vehicle sensor data, and receive travel event data associated with the operation of the aerial vehicle. Embodiments include an event management engine configured to determine a set of recommendations related to the events. The event management engine is distributed across multiple operational segments of the event management framework. The event management engine can determine a respective computing device of the multiple operational segments for determining the set of recommendations based at least in part on a respective classification of the one or more events. The event management engine can also cause execution of the respective recommendations, where causing the execution of the respective recommendations causes operation of one or more vehicle systems affecting control of the aerial vehicle.
