TELESCOPING HEAD RESTRAINT

A headrest assembly includes a headrest bun adjustably supported on a linkage system. An adjustable cover assembly is operable between stowed and deployed positons relative to a position of the headrest bun and is configured to cover the linkage system in use. The adjustable cover assembly includes first and second members, wherein the first member is coupled to the linkage system for movement therewith and the second member is pivotally coupled to the first member. A gap is defined between the first member and the second member, and the gap is maintained by a plurality of spacers disposed on the first member as the cover assembly moves from the stowed position to the deployed position with the headrest bun.

POWER HEAD RESTRAINT FLEXIBLE CLOSEOUT COVER

A flexible cover assembly is disposed on a vehicle seat having an adjustable headrest assembly. The adjustable headrest assembly includes a headrest bun and an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the headrest bun between extended and retracted positions. A trim component is disposed a seatback and includes a relief portion configured to receive a portion of the adjustment mechanism as the headrest bun is driven towards the extended position. A flexible cover member is coupled to the trim component at the relief portion. The flexible cover member includes a plate member operable between extend and retracted positions. The portion of the adjustment mechanism received in the relief portion of the trim component is configured to abut an inner surface of the plate member to move the plate member towards the extended position as the headrest bun is driven towards the extended position by the adjustment mechanism.

TELESCOPING POWER HEAD RESTRAINT WITH COVER ASSEMBLY

A headrest assembly includes a linkage system that is at least partially disposed within a housing. The linkage system is operable between fore and aft positions relative to the housing. An adjustable cover assembly includes a first member coupled to the linkage system for movement therewith, and a second member pivotally coupled to the first member. The second member includes an engagement flange configured to contact a portion of the housing to pivot the second member rearwardly as the adjustable cover assembly is driven outward by the linkage system during the positioning of a headrest bun.

20170313260 · 2017-11-02 · ·

An apparatus for mounting a portable electronic device in a vehicle includes an element that is compressible or expandable, first and second grips, and a device holder configured to selectively hold a portable electronic device. The element has first and second ends spaced apart from one another by a first distance when the element is in its uncompressed or unexpanded state. The first and second ends are movable towards or away from one another by application of an external force that causes the ends to be spaced apart from one another by less or more than the first distance. The element is biased to try to return to its uncompressed or unexpanded state when the external force is not being applied. The first and second grips extend from the first and second ends of the element and are configured to grip a pair of spaced apart vehicle headrest posts.

LOCK RELEASE MECHANISM

A lock release mechanism comprising: an operation lever provided at a shoulder of a seatback of a vehicle seat, the operation lever being supported to be tiltable in a seat front-and-rear direction about an axis along a seat width direction; a rod, wherein the rod comprises a coupled portion, a main body portion, and a projecting portion; and a width direction limiting portion that limits movement of the rod in the seat width direction relative to the operation lever.

Pneumatic adjustment arrangement for a vehicle seat

A pneumatic adjustment arrangement for a vehicle seat. The pneumatic adjustment arrangement has at least one chamber or bladder, which can be filled with a pressure medium, as an adjustment element. Furthermore, the pneumatic adjustment arrangement has a fluid line for the filling and/or evacuation of the chamber. Additionally, the pneumatic adjustment arrangement has a valve device which is provided in the fluid line for volume flow regulation. Finally, the pneumatic adjustment arrangement has a noise absorber which is likewise arranged in the fluid line in order to absorb noise generated in the fluid line. In this way, it is possible to create a pneumatic adjustment arrangement for a vehicle seat, in particular for comfort functions, such that objectionable noises during the execution of the comfort fiction are reduced.

Multilayer seat

A vehicle seat includes a lower seating structure and a raised seatback support, wherein one of either the lower seating structure or raised seatback support consists of a multilayer assembly. The multilayer assembly includes a flexible static layer, a flexible dynamic layer having an adjustable firmness, a suspension layer formed from tunable springs which support a flexible panel, and a frame supported carrier including a protective recess within which the suspension layer is cradled.

Seat having ambient lighting

A vehicle seating assembly includes a seatback. A support frame is partially enclosed by a seatback panel assembly. A seatback cushion assembly is supported on a seatback carrier and is proximate the seatback panel assembly. An external peripheral gap is defined between the seatback panel assembly and the seatback cushion assembly. A light source is defined in the seatback carrier and is configured to emit light into the external peripheral gap. A seat includes a support frame partially enclosed by a panel assembly.
