ELECTROLYSIS DEVICE
An electrolysis device for the electrolytic treatment of liquids has an anode chamber and a cathode chamber which are separated from one another via an ion exchange membrane. The chambers are provided with an inlet opening and an outlet opening for the flowing electrolyte, each with one electrode. The inner space of the anode chamber and/or of the cathode chamber are/is subdivided by webs or ribs extending transversely with respect to the electrodes. The webs or ribs are provided at least regionally with holes or cut outs. The webs or ribs include at least one lower region free of holes or cut outs. The electrolysis device provides sufficient mixing in the upper foam phase in the longitudinal direction and also at the same time the airlift pump effect is maintained by way of ascending gas bubbles in the lower region.
PROCESS FOR ENRICHMENT OF THE CO2 CONCENTRATION IN THE CO2-STREAMS FROM THE POST-COMBUSTION AND PRE-COMBUSTION STATIONARY SOURCES OF CO2 EMISSION UPSTREAM OF FURTHER PROCESSING
The present process invention in continuation to the U.S. Ser. No. 14/392,066 appertains to Advanced Combustion in post-combustion carbon capture, wherein the CO.sub.2-containing flue gas, said CO2-Stream, is cleaned from harmful constituents, recirculated, oxygenized and employed for combustion for the fossil fuels, referred to Flue Gas Oxy-Fueling in order to obtain a CO.sub.2-rich gas upstream to CO2-CC with significantly less gas flow rate subject to further processing. This continuation process patent also presents processing to prepare a CO.sub.2-rich CO2-Stream for the pre-combustion carbon capture downstream of gasification and gas cleaning process; or from the secondary CO2-Stream that stems from the cathodic syngas [CO/2H.sub.2] downstream of HPLTE-SG of patent parent, then downstream of the HP/IP-water shift converters in [CO.sub.2/3H.sub.2] composition, whereas the CO.sub.2-rich CO2-Stream from either pre-combustion process is routed to the CO2-CC for CO.sub.2 cooling and condensation section of the U.S. Ser. No. 14/392,066 to obtain liquid carbon dioxide for re-use as new fossil energy resource.
Apparatus and process for the production of soda ash
A device and process for the separate removal of oppositely charged ions from electrolyte solutions and recombining them to form new chemical compositions. The invention provides the ability to create multiple ion flow channels and then form new chemical compositions therefrom. The process is accomplished by selectively combining oppositely charged ions of choice from different electrolyte solutions via the capacitive behavior of high electrical capacitance electrodes confined in insulated containers. Industrial plants employing the inventive process can have the flexibility to produce needed industrial chemical compounds such as Soda Ash, Caustic Soda, hydrochloric acid and chlorine gas, based on market demand, and can be located near points of consumption to significantly reduce transportation costs.
Method and apparatus for synchronized pressure regulation of separated anode chamber
Electroplating results can be improved by dynamically controlling the pressure in different parts of an electroplating apparatus. For example, a number of plating problems can be avoided by ensuring that the pressure in an anode chamber always remains slightly above the pressure in an ionically resistive element manifold, both during electroplating and during non-electroplating operations. This pressure differential prevents the membrane from stretching downward into the anode chamber.
ELECTRODE CATALYST LAYER FOR CARBON DIOXIDE ELECTROLYSIS CELL, ELECTROLYSIS CELL AND CARBON DIOXIDE ELECTROLYSIS APPARATUS COMPRISING THE SAME
The embodiments provide an electrode catalyst layer for an electrolysis cell, and also an electrolysis cell and a carbon dioxide electrolysis apparatus comprising that layer. The catalyst layer has a controlled porous structure, and can realize a high partial current density. The catalyst layer of the embodiment comprises carbonous catalyst carriers, a metallic catalyst loaded on the carriers, and an ion-conductive material. The catalyst layer contains pores of 5 to 200 m diameters, and the pores have a volume per weight of the catalyst layer in the range of 3.0 to 10 mL/g in total.
OZONE GENERATOR FOR A FAUCET
An electrolytic ozone generator for use with a faucet and methods for assembling and using the same.
ELECTROLYSER ARRANGEMENT
An electrolyser arrangement with at least one electrolytic cell, having two electrodes, namely an anode and a cathode, each of the two electrodes being in contact with an electrode compartment for filling with a liquid electrolyte, the two electrode compartments being separated by a membrane and a conveying device being provided, one for each of the two electrodes, for conveying the electrolyte in each case in a circuit, a cathode circuit and an anode circuit, through the electrode compartment via at least one collection vessel per circuit and back into the electrode chamber. A device is provided outside the electrolytic cell, for conveying an auxiliary volume flow between the cathode circuit and the anode circuit.
Water electrolysis apparatus
A differential pressure type high pressure water electrolysis apparatus includes a seal member, which is sandwiched between a cathode side separator and a membrane electrode assembly, and surrounds a cathode electrode catalyst layer, and a pressure resistant member surrounding the seal member from an outer side thereof. A surface pressure applying member is interposed between the seal member and the pressure resistant member. The surface pressure applying member receives a pressing force from the seal member, and applies pressure to the membrane electrode assembly.
Hydrogen Production System
A hydrogen production system comprising: a fuel source; a water source; and a hydrogen producer; where the fuel source and the water source are in fluid communication with the hydrogen producer; and where fuel enters the hydrogen producer from the fuel source and water enters the hydrogen producer from the water source and the fuel and the water do not come in contact with each other in the hydrogen producer.
