ANTIVIRAL COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PLANT VIRUSES USING THE SAME

Disclosed are an antiviral composition, a composition for controlling plant viruses, and a method for controlling plant viruses using the composition. Trichodermin or Trichoderminol which is a tricothecene-based compound and is isolated from Trichoderma albolutescenes strain has antiviral activities against various plant viruses and is thus suitable for controlling plant viruses. This description can facilitate mass production of an active component derived from natural products, provide environment-friendly antifungal agents, which do not harm plants, using safe materials, and be variously utilized in agricultural fields, for example, such as production of high-value crops.

Composition comprising a biological control agent and a fungicide

The present invention relates to a composition comprising at least one biological control agent selected from the group consisting of Paecilomyces lilacinus strain 251 (AGAL No. 89/030550) and Coniothyrium minitans CON/M/91-08 (DSM 9660) and/or a mutant of these strains having all the identifying characteristics of the respective strain, and/or at least one metabolite produced by the respective strain that exhibits activity against nematodes, insects and/or phytopathogens, and at least one fungicide (I) selected from the group consisting of inhibitors of the respiratory chain at complex I, II and III in a synergistically effective amount. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a kit of parts comprising said composition and the use of said composition.

METHOD FOR PROLONGING THE VIABILITY OF FUNGAL SPORES IN LIQUID FORMULATIONS
20170258094 · 2017-09-14 ·

The present invention relates to a method for prolonging spore viability of fungal spores present in a liquid formulation, comprising (a) packaging said formulation in a suitable container; (b) reducing oxygen exposure of the spores in said formulation as compared to oxygen exposure of said spores when said formulation is in contact with air; and (c) closing or sealing said container. The invention further relates to a closed container comprising a liquid formulation within said container, said formulation comprising fungal spores, wherein the spores in said formulation have reduced oxygen exposure as compared to oxygen exposure of said spores when said formulation is in contact with air.

The invention also relates to the use of said compositions for the control of pest insects and mites and disease vectors in conventional and non-conventional agricultural crops.

Isolated strain of Clonostachys rosea for use as a biological control agent

Described is an isolated strain of the fungus Colonostachys rosea termed BVT Cr-7 useful as a biological control agent for the treatment of plants. The isolated strain, formulations comprising said strain and/or spores derived from said strain may be applied to plants or plant materials in order to improve plant yield, to improve plant growth, or for the treatment or prevention of diseases or pathogens in the plant.

Porous matrices for culture and formulation of agricultural biopesticides and chemicals

The present disclosure addresses biologically active formulations for agricultural and other applications that comprise a solid growth substrate that defines an open cell matrix and an active population of one or more microorganisms adhered thereto. The formulation is configured to be applied directly to a plant growth environment and does not require additional isolation and/or processing steps that would separate the microorganisms from the solid growth substrate prior to deployment. The disclosure also addresses related methods.

Method for removing contaminants from cannabinoid distillates
10507404 · 2019-12-17 · ·

A method for removing contaminants such as pesticides and fungicides from cannabinoid extracts. Cannabinoid extracts containing contaminants may be dissolved in a water and ethanol solution, and then cooled to allow water-soluble contaminants to settle out of the mixture. The water and ethanol may then be removed via evaporation or distillation, leaving purified cannabinoids without contaminants. Contaminant removal may be incorporated into a method for producing a blended extract of cannabinoids and terpenes, which extracts terpenes using supercritical CO2, and extracts a cannabinoid concentrate from the residual material using a cold ethanol flush followed by distillation and then by contaminant removal; the CO2-extracted terpenes are then added back to the purified cannabinoid concentrate in a final blending step. Blending terpenes at the end of extraction may enhance the flavor and effectiveness of the purified cannabinoid concentrate.
