Package having a fill and seal feature
10329053 · 2019-06-25 ·

A flexible package having a fill opening or feature can be included in one or more of the package panels, with an internal fill patch provided proximate or about the fill opening. The patch can be initially sealed at one or more edge or portions to the internal surface of the respective package panel or panels, with a generally free edge or portion remaining unsealed until the package is filled with material contents.

VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR BAGS

A present application relates to a valve assembly for use with a liquid container. The valve assembly includes a spout containing an opening to the liquid container, the spout being configured to form a liquid-tight seal with a housing. A sleeve extends through the housing toward the liquid container through the opening. A valve is secured to the housing and extending into the opening through the sleeve and forming a liquid-tight seal with the sleeve. The valve includes a body portion with a cutaway section and a leg fixed to the valve by a hinge, wherein the leg is configured to flex outwards against the sleeve upon insertion of a tube into the valve causing the cutaway section to open a flow channel to allow liquid to flow through the valve assembly.

PAPER BAG

An air-filling packaging apparatus includes at least an air cushion body formed by at least two layers of air chamber films. The air cushion body includes multiple air-storing units. The air-storing units are heat-sealed to form a series of 2D heat-sealing seams, folded, and heat-sealed to form a series of 3D heat-sealing seams so as to make a 3D packaging bag for packaging an object to be packaged. The 3D packaging bag provides a cushioning function for the object to be packaged.

SHEET MATERIAL CONTAINER

The present invention provides a sheet material container being made of a sheet material and including a body portion and a bottom portion that is to be disposed on a placement surface, and the sheet material including a plurality of film layers. A body portion sheet that constitutes the body portion includes a bonding portion where peripheral edge portions of the sheet materials are bonded. In a bottom surface sheet that constitutes the bottom portion, a non-adhesive region is provided in the plurality of film layers. The non-adhesive region forms a bottom filler-filled portion. The bottom filler-filled portion extends annularly around a non-filled portion, and includes at least three protruding leg portions that are to be placed on the placement surface so as to allow the container to stand by itself. The protruding leg portions protrude toward the placement surface past other portions in the bottom filler-filled portion due a leg forming portion.

A hazardous drug deactivation wipe kit includes a first pouch having a one-way valve coupled to an end thereof, a second pouch, and a third pouch. The first pouch contains a wipe saturated in a hypochlorite solution, the second pouch contains a wipe saturated in thiosulfate solution, and the third pouch contains a wipe saturated in isopropyl alcohol solution. The deactivation wipe kit may be used in a clean room to deactivate most hazardous drugs on a work surface.

FLEXIBLE LAMINATE STRUCTURE WITH INTEGRATED ONE-WAY VALVE
20190047751 · 2019-02-14 ·

A flexible laminate for a package is described that includes an integrated one-way valve that allows gas generated within the package (e.g., carbon dioxide outgas) to be released to the external environment, while at the same time preventing environmental elements from entering the package. The valve is defined by the layers that form the flexible laminate, as opposed to being a separate structure that is attached to the flexible laminate. In particular, first and second cut lines are defined in a valve area of the first and second film layers of the flexible laminate structure in an offset manner. Oil is pattern-applied to one or both film layers in the valve area, and an opposing surface of one or both of the film layers further includes a surface treatment that decreases the amount of surface energy between the film layers to allow the valve to open at the desired pressure.

AIR EXHAUST VALVE
20190023454 · 2019-01-24 ·

The present disclosure provides an air exhaust valve, including a first valve body, a second valve body and a gasket. The first valve body and the second valve body are engaged with each other. The second valve body includes a first opening, a second opening, a first spacer and a second spacer. The first opening is provided within a bottom portion of the second valve body. The second opening is adjacent to and in communication with the first opening, and is provided within the bottom portion of the second valve body. The first spacer is provided within the first opening to form at least one first channel, and the second spacer is provided within the second opening to form at least one second channel. The first channel and the second channel are staggered with respect to each other.

Inflatable structure for packaging and associated apparatus and methods

An inflatable structure may be formed from a single piece of flexible film. The inflatable structure may include quilting seals which divide the inflatable chamber. The inflatable structure may include a one-way valve including an internal valve opening, a channel, and an external valve opening. A locator aperture positioned in the channel may be surrounded by a valve position-retention seal. A corresponding inflation device fills the inflatable structure with air and may do so without requiring heat sealing or insertion into the one-way valve. The inflation device may include a mechanical registration device configured to engage the locator aperture and position the one-way valve at a desired position with respect to an outlet of a source of pressurized air. The inflation device may detect when the inflatable structure is filled with a desired amount of air and automatically shut off the source of pressurized air.
