Cat-repelling trash bag and associated use thereof
09771213 · 2017-09-26 ·

A cat-repelling trash bag includes a flexible body having a deformably resilient inner layer, an outer layer selectively spaced from the deformably resilient inner layer, and a deformable cavity situated between the deformably resilient inner layer and the outer layer. A cat-repellant agent is dynamically located within the cavity. A plurality of divider walls are seated inside the cavity when the bag is at a non-tensioned state. Each of the divider walls being engaged with the deformably resilient inner layer and the outer layer. Advantageously, when an internal force is exerted against an interior of the body, the deformably resilient inner layer is stretched outwardly towards the outer layer. When the deformably resilient inner layer is stretched outwardly towards the outer layer, the divider walls are selectively and partially penetrated exterior of the outer layer such that the cat-repelling agent is released exterior of the cavity.

A humidity controlled package that uses a humidity sensitive valve that opens and closes an opening to control a humidity in the package. The package has a package holding area inside the package. The humidity level in the package controls the valve to open to allow air flow between an inside of the valve and an outside of the valve, and close to prevent air flow between the inside and outside of the valve. At least part of the valve is in the package. In one embodiment, the package is vented when the humidity value gets higher than a setpoint. In another embodiment, a sachet of dessicant is opened by the humidity level.

Pouch with Slide-In Pocket

The present invention is directed to a pouch (1) for tobacco comprising a first pocket, wherein at least a wall of the pouch is formed of a flexible sheet laminate (6) composed of at least a first and a second layer (61, 62), the pouch further comprising a slide-in pocket (4) formed within the flexible sheet laminate, wherein the slide-in pocket comprises a pocket front wall (42) formed of a part of the first layer (61) of the flexible sheet laminate, a pocket back wall (41) formed of a part of the second layer (62) of the flexible sheet laminate and a first opening (5) arranged in the first layer or the second layer of the flexible sheet laminate, the interior of the slide-in pocket being accessible via the first opening.

Side-gusset bag made of a plastic fabric composite, and method for the production thereof

The invention relates to a flat-lying side-gusset bag made of a plastic fabric composite (2) and to a method for the production thereof. The side-gusset bag has opposing front walls (3a, 3b), side gussets (4a, 4b) introduced in between said front walls (3a, 3b), and folding edges (5) between the front walls (3a, 3b) and the side gussets (4a, 4b). Peripheral sections of the plastic fabric composite (2) are connected together in an overlapping region (10) at a longitudinal seam, wherein the plastic fabric composite (2) has a plastic fabric (7) and at least one closed plastic layer. The side gussets (5) extend, in the case of the flat-lying side-gusset bag, in each case over at most ⅓ of the width of the front walls. According to the invention, the overlapping region (10) is arranged off-center on one of the front walls (3a, 3b) at least partially over one of the side gussets (4a, 4b) or at one of the side gussets (4a, 4b). In order to be able to form such a side-gusset bag, in the production method, first of all a closed, two-layer tube (12) is formed, from which a side-gusset tube (1) is subsequently formed.

Flexible Packaging Container

Disclosed is a flexible packaging container, in particular a plastic film pouch or bag for bulk goods, comprising a front wall (2) and a rear wall (3) as well as a holding space (15) between said walls (2, 3) for goods to be stored; the walls (2, 3) are made at least in part of a film material; the flexible packaging container further comprising an intermediate space (14) which is formed by an inner ply (4) and is separated from the holding space (15) by said inner ply (4); the holding space (15) can be evacuated into the intermediate space (14) via at least one holding space evacuation hole (7) in the inner ply (4), and the intermediate space (14) can be evacuated out of the packaging container (1) via at least one additional evacuation hole (11) that interrupts a transverse seam; the front wall (2) does not comprise any of the longitudinal seam (12) that seals the packaging container (1) in the peripheral direction; the inner ply (4) is formed by a strip (4) which is located on a side of the front wall (2) facing the intermediate space (14) and which is fastened to the front wall (2) using two longitudinal seams extending between top and bottom transverse seams (5.1, 5.2).

Container closure system

The invention relates to a pharmaceutical product or container closure system containing an overpouch with an intransparent first foil and a transparent second foil, a transparent primary container for holding a transparent liquid, e.g., a pharmaceutical formulation, wherein the transparent primary container is packed within the overpouch and labeled with at least one label and wherein the at least one label acts as a light absorbing segment having a reflection R.sub.L for light in the range of about 350 nm to about 800 nm and an inner surface of the intransparent first foil of the overpouch acts as a light reflecting background having a reflection R.sub.F for light in the direction of the primary container in the range of about 350 nm to about 800 nm with R.sub.F≠R.sub.L. By the transparent second foil and the inventive reflection properties it is achieved that the at least one label on the primary container is visible and readable. Additionally, visual inspection of the content of the transparent primary container is possible. A good contrast is achieved to enhance machine and human readability.

Integrated package opening feature
11203477 · 2021-12-21 · ·

A package is described that includes a laminate structure with a first layer and a second layer. The first layer is adjacent a compartment of the package and includes a predefined cut through which access is provided to the contents of the package. The second layer includes an integrated pull strip that is at least partially defined by a line of weakness formed in the second layer. The pull strip overlies the predefined cut and is configured to be separated from a remainder of the second layer by a user. In this way, separation of the pull strip from the package (e.g., as the pull strip is peeled away from the package) may serve to expose the predefined cut and allows the first and second edges to be moved apart to provide access to the compartment and the contents stored therein via the predefined cut.
