Two-paste polymerizable compostion
Provided is a polymerizable composition hardly having oxygen inhibition layer by polymerization under an oxygen environment, including a first paste including (a) a (meth)acrylate compound, (b) at least one of an aromatic sulfinic acid and a salt thereof, and (c) an acidic compound; and a second paste including (a) a (meth)acrylate compound, (d) an organic metal compound, and (e) an organic halogen compound, wherein at least either one of the first paste and the second paste includes (f) a filler.
Silicone elastomer material suitable for use in particular for making dental impressions
Described are organopolysiloxane compositions that are capable of cross-linking and/or of hardening by polyaddition reactions so as to produce elastomers or materials made of silicone. Further described, is how the composition is useful for making a dental impression in the context of preparing prostheses.
Methodology of dental caries detection
Disclosed are methods for detecting demineralization of a surface of a tooth, comprising a) contacting the tooth of a subject with an orally acceptable, binding composition comprising a binding agent that binds to a demineralized surface of the tooth; b) removing unbound binding compound; c) contacting the tooth with an orally acceptable, detector composition comprising a probe compound that reacts with the binding agent to form a visually detectable reaction product; and d) detecting formation of the reaction product as an indication of the presence or extent of surface demineralization of the tooth. Systems, kits, and compositions for practicing the methods are also provided.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS OF REACTIVE MATERIALS FOR DENTAL PROCEDURES
Methods and systems for using a curable material for endodontic processes are provided. The method comprises using an electroactive composition to cure and optionally un-cure the material. Using an electroactive composition allows for easy introduction of the material without unwanted complexity or side effects. It also allows for easy removal and replacement if desired.
CONTRAST PATTERN APPLICATION FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGING
Provided herein are compositions for applying a reference marker pattern or grid to the surface of an object to be imaged three-dimensionally. These compositions can be quick drying for ease of use. Methods of use of the compositions are also provided as well as devices and kits for the application of the compositions.
IMPRESSION TRAY, AND METHOD FOR CAPTURING STRUCTURES, ARRANGEMENTS OR SHAPES, IN PARTICULAR IN THE MOUTH OR HUMAN BODY
The invention relates to an impression tray, which carries a deformable impression mass in order to prepare an impression of arrangements, shapes or dimensions, in or on the human body, in the mouth, and an impression of at least part of a tooth or of dental structures, wherein sensor devices are present, with which a change of at least one physical property or variable of the impression mass can be captured in a spatially resolved manner. The invention further relates to a method for capturing structures, arrangements or shapes, whereby a deformable impression compound is brought onto or into the structures, arrangements or, is introduced, into the mouth or body and a change of at least one physical property or variable of the impression compound is transmitted to sensor devices when preparing an impression and provided in a form that is suitable for electronic data processing.
METHOD OF PREPARING DENTITION FOR THE TAKING OF A DENTAL IMPRESSION
A method of taking a dental impression of dentition including conditioning a surface comprising one or more of dentition and a dental appliance by the application thereto of a wetting agent to form a controlled hydrophilic wet film. The wetting agent includes water, a surfactant, a compatibilizing agent and a film stabilizing agent. The controlled hydrophilic wet film is hydrophilic and is formed by brushing the wetting agent onto the dentition. The brushing controls the thickness and hydrophilicity of the controlled hydrophilic film to a thickness and hydrophilicity that is capable of inducing flow of an impression material that comes into contact with the controlled hydrophilic film. The flow is sufficient to flow into sub-gingival places. The film is contacted with a dental impression material selected from the group consisting of hydrophilic and hydrophobic dental impression materials.
