MULTILOBULAR SUPERSONIC GAS NOZZLES FOR LIQUID SPARGING
What is presented is a system and method for bubble creation in a fluid injection nozzle for the injection of a gas into a liquid to divide the gas into the smallest possible bubble size with the largest cumulative surface area by maximizing the percentage of gas at the highest possible kinetic energy that is in contact with the liquid. The fluid injection nozzle comprises a convergent inlet for receiving a fluid and a divergent outlet for exhausting the fluid. The divergent outlet has multiple exhaust ports.
SLURRY STORAGE AND STIRRING DEVICE AND SLURRY STIRRING METHOD
A device includes a container for storing slurry, a main pipeline with one end connected to the container and the other end extending to an inner space of the container and forming a first circulation path, a nozzle attached to the other end of the main pipeline, a pump provided in the first circulation path between one end and the other end of the main pipeline for sucking and pressurizing slurry, a sub-pipeline which branches from the pump or branches from the main pipeline between the pump and the nozzle and extends to the inner space of the container and forms a second circulation path, a valve for switching distribution of slurry to one or both of the first and second circulation paths, and a discharge port provided at a tip opposite to a branch end of the sub-pipeline and located below the nozzle in a vertical direction.
Liquid-liquid mass transfer process and apparatus
A fiber bundle contactor may include a vessel including a first inlet; a second inlet; a mixing zone arranged in the vessel to receive a first fluid from the first inlet and a including fluid from the second inlet, wherein the mixing zone comprises a perforated plate assembly comprising a plate, a plurality of openings in the plate, and a plurality of riser pipes that extend from the plate and arranged to allow fluid flow through additional openings in the plate; and an extraction zone including a fiber bundle arranged in the vessel to receive the first fluid and the second fluid from the mixing zone.
APPARATUS AND ARRANGEMENT FOR INTRODUCING A GAS INTO A MAIN MEDIUM IN PARTICULAR IN WASTE WATER TREATMENT
Apparatus for introducing a gas into a main medium, comprising: a main conduit for guiding the main medium, a multitude of injection lines for guiding the gas, wherein each of the injection lines has a respective end section with a respective outlet opening situated within the main conduit, and wherein the end sections are oriented essentially parallel to each other and to the main conduit. With the apparatus a gas can be introduced in particular into waste water for obtaining a biologically activated sludge. Thereby, interaction between the gas and the waste water can be particularly pronounced due to a particularly large liquid-gas-interface caused by particularly extensive turbulences. Further, shear stress acting on particles in the activated sludge can be advantageously low, thus avoiding damage of the biological particles.
Low holdup volume mixing chamber
A compact interaction chamber is used to cause high shear, impact forces, and cavitation to reduce particle size and mix fluids while reducing waste and holdup volume. A first housing made of stainless steel holds an inlet mixing chamber element and an outlet mixing chamber element in a female bore using thermal expansion. The inlet and outlet mixing chamber elements are manufactured so that the diameter of the cooled female bore is slightly smaller than the diameter of the mixing chamber elements. The first housing is heated, expanding the diameter of the female bore enough to allow the inlet and outlet mixing chamber elements to be inserted. After the mixing chamber elements are inserted and aligned within the female bore, the first housing is allowed to cool. Once cooled, the female bore contracts and applies sufficient hoop stress to securely hold the mixing chamber elements during high shear force mixing.
Component mixing jet
A component mixing jet including a jet nozzle housing with at least one component inlet and one component outlet. An axially movable jet needle is arranged in a reception in the jet nozzle housing and can rest against the jet nozzle housing with an axial end in the region of the component outlet in a sealable manner. The jet needle is connected with a membrane fixed in the jet nozzle housing. A pressure chamber is arranged in the jet nozzle housing at the side of the membrane averted from the axial end of the jet needle. The membrane is a holding element for the jet needle and guides the jet needle axially and holds it radially in the reception. The axial region between the membrane and the axial end of the jet needle is free from any bearing element for the jet needle in the region of the component outlet.
