Method and Fluidic Apparatus for Generating Pulsed and Oscillating Air Flow for Surface Cleaning and Sweeping
An oscillating or pulsing fluid stream, or flow 18, 132, 300, is produced from a flow of pressurized air by fluidic apparatus 10, 100, 130, 180, 220 in a device 250 configured for use in surface cleaning, sweeping, lawn care applications, and the like. Converging inlet chamber walls 20, 22, define a tapered internal lumen having a smooth narrowing profile is configured to generate at a power nozzle 44 a high velocity stream with minimal pressure drop. Downstream of the power nozzle, first and second control ports CP1, CP2 are in fluid communication with the high velocity stream 46 and with each other via an inertance loop 72 having a lumen of selected cross sectional area and length. The varying air flow is directed through an outlet chamber 14, 134 shaped to produce an oscillating flow 18 or a pulsating flow 132.
BATTERY-POWERED BLOWER
The battery-powered blower includes a housing assembly including a first housing portion having a first inner surface, a second housing portion having a second inner surface, and connected to the first housing portion, and a third housing portion connected to the second portion. The third housing portion has a side outer surface configured to receive a battery. The battery is mountable to the side outer surface of the third housing portion. The second housing portion in connection with to the first housing portion forms an inner chamber therebetween. A fan is provided in the inner chamber to facilitate airflow through the housing assembly and out an outlet, and a motor is provided intermediate to the second housing portion and the third housing portion. The center of gravity with respect to the overall blower is provided proximate to a handle portion.
HANDHELD BLOWER
A handheld blower includes a housing having an air inlet and a duct assembly mounted in front of the air inlet, the duct assembly including a duct connected with the housing, a motor and a fan mounted in the duct, a battery, and a blowpipe connected to the housing by the duct assembly, the blowpipe defining a central axis in the length direction, and a handle arranged above the housing and the battery. The handle includes a gripping portion arranged on opposite sides of a plane in which the gravity center of the blower is located, and the plane is parallel to a central axis of the blowpipe and substantially perpendicular to a working ground. The gravity center of the handheld blower is adjacent to the gripping portion which enhances the handling comfort and reduces operator fatigue during long times of operation.
REEL MOWER HAVING LEFT OR RIGHT HAND DRIVE TURF GROOMER
A turf groomer is coupled to a reel cutting unit in advance of the cutting reel and is powered by a gearbox having a rotary gear drive that is capable of selectively rotating the turf groomer in opposite directions at different speeds. The rotary gear drive is symmetrical about a plane through the axes of the input and output shafts thereof to permit the gearbox to be inverted to drive the turf groomer from either the left or right sides without requiring that two different models of the gear drive be available. The gearbox is connected to the reel cutting unit only by connecting the end of the input shaft to a shaft of the cutting reel and through a connection to a height adjuster for the turf groomer.
Powered landscaping system
A powered landscaping apparatus having a frame, at least one wheel on the frame through which the frame can be supported upon and advanced over a subjacent support surface, a blower assembly operatively positioned on the frame and having a fan assembly that is mounted to be turned guidingly around a vertically extending axis, and a drive on the frame for moving the fan assembly around the vertically extending axis. The blower assembly is configured to generate a pressurized supply of air that is propelled in a stream that is directed in a manner to continuously redistribute loose material that resides on the subjacent support surface as the fan assembly is moved around the vertically extending axis by the drive and the frame is advanced over the subjacent support surface.
SPLIT POWER TOOL
An extendable hedge trimmer includes a housing having a handle end and a tool end. The handle end includes a battery and an electrical connector. The tool end includes a hedge trimming implement, a motor, and an electrical connector. The electrical connector of the tool end is electrically connected with the motor. Wiring is included within the handle end for electrically connecting the battery and the electrical connector of the handle end. The trimmer also includes a pole which is releasably connectable between the tool end and the handle end. The pole is configured for electrically connecting the handle end with the tool end. The trimmer also includes a latch mechanism for releasably attaching the pole between tool end and handle end. The trimmer also includes an input for receiving AC line power via a power cord, the trimmer configured for being power by AC line power and/or battery power.
Mechanical drive roller
A roller driven by an engine through a reversible gearbox that is engaged via a belt or chain by a clutch that engages and disengages the belt base on changes in the engine RPM.
Apparatus, System and Method for Mechanical, Selective Weed Control in Mature and Establishing Crops Including Turfgrasses
An apparatus for applying a desired amount of mechanical abrasion to plants is provided. The apparatus includes a base, a brush and an elevation device for maintaining the base at desirable height. The base has a first longitudinal axis and a plurality of grooves, the grooves being oriented approximately perpendicular to the first longitudinal axis. The brush has a second longitudinal axis and a plurality of bristles and/or blades extending outwardly from the second longitudinal axis. The brush is attached to the apparatus such that the second longitudinal axis is substantially parallel to the first longitudinal axis and the brush is rotatable about the second longitudinal axis. The brush is spaced from the base such that the plurality of bristles engage the plurality of grooves. The base is adjustable enabling the operator to move the base closer or further from the rotating brush/blades.
Lift Attachment System
A lift attachment system for providing adjustment such as lifting and lower to various attachments being towed by a vehicle. The system generally includes a base frame which is removably connected to a vehicle, such as at its rear frame. A support frame is pivotally connected to the base frame. An actuator is connected between the support frame and the base frame such that the support frame may pivotally adjust with respect to the base frame. The support frame includes a width-adjustable attachment mount which is adapted to removably receive one of a plurality of different attachments. By removably connecting the attachment to the support frame, the attachment may be pivotally adjusted (such as lifted or lowered) via activation of the actuator. By connecting the base frame to a vehicle, one may adjust an attachment while in use on a vehicle to improve efficiency and prevent constant manual adjustments.
