REACTION PRODUCTS AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Reaction products and methods for making and using the same are provided. The reaction products particularly may include adducts of two or more reactants. The adducts particularly can incorporate a nitrification inhibitor, such as DCD. In particular embodiments, reaction products may be formed from the reaction of formaldehyde, DCD, urea, and an ammonia source. The adducts may be included in agricultural products, including fertilizer compositions and nitrification inhibitor systems. Fertilizer compositions including the adducts can be beneficial for reducing leaching of nitrification inhibitors applied to soil.
EFFICIENCY OF MAN-MADE AND/OR NATURAL ORGANIC BASED ANIMAL MANURE FERTILIZERS BY LIBERATING THE BOUND NUTRIENTS (MACRO AND MICRO) THROUGH THE USE OF ORGANIC, NON-AQUEOUS LIQUID DELIVERY FORMULATIONS CONTAINING ORGANIC POLY (ORGANICACIDS) AND/OR THEIR SALTS
The present invention relates to improving the efficacy of man-made and/or natural organic-based animal manure fertilizers by administration of an organic solvent formula containing polyorganic acids and/or their salts. The formulation liberates nutrient(s) that are normally bound in the soil as insoluble salts and complexes. These delivery formulations also provide an environmentally sound and inherently safe solvating system that improves diffusion of polyorganic acids to the granule fertilizer. These delivery formulations enable safe storage, transport and subsequent application or blending with solid or liquid fertilizers. The combined formulation and fertilizer can be applied to soil to provide improved efficacy of fertilizer by liberating nutrients bound in the soil for uptake by plant life.
Non-Aqueous Organo Liquid Delivery Systems containing dispersed Poly (organic acids) that improve availability of macro & micro-nutrients to plants
The present invention relates to improving the efficiency of man-made and/or natural organic-based animal manure fertilizers by administration of formulations containing poly(organic acids), [P(OA)]s, and/or their salts dispersed in a Non-aqueous Organic Solvent Delivery System (NOSDS). Utilizing a NOSDS allows for coating all components in a fertilizer formulation including but not limited to Urea, Manure, mono-ammonium phosphate (MAP), di-ammonium phosphate (DAP), solid micronutrients such as lime, zinc chloride, etc.) with a layer of [P(OA)]s and/or their salts that liberates, in a plant available form, the micronutrient metals and macronutrients, that are bound as insoluble salts and complexes in the soil. The carboxylic groups of a [P(OA)] that can exist within the [P(OA)] as carboxylic acids, carboxylic anhydrides and/or carboxylic imides, dispersed within the NOSDS, can be neutralized with one or more metals in the form of elemental metals, metal oxides, metal hydroxides, metal alkylates and metal carbonates and/or nitrogen containing compounds such as ammonia, ammonium hydroxide or organoamines to form a stable dispersion that can contain completely complexed micronutrients and provide the vehicle for the delivery of these nutrients to soils and/or as a coating to the surfaces fertilizer granules and seeds.
Composition of a magnesium sulphate-urea compound
The present invention relates to compositions containing at least 80% by weight, especially at least 90% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition, of at least one magnesium sulfate-urea compound selected from the compound of the formula (I) and mixtures of the compound of the formula (I) with the compound of the formula (II): [MgSO.sub.4.mCO(NH.sub.2).sub.2.nH.sub.2O] (I), [MgSO.sub.4.xCO(NH.sub.2).sub.2.yH.sub.2O] (II), in which m and x are each in the range from 0.9 to 1.1, n is in the range from 1.9 to 2.1 and y is in the range from 2.9 to 3.1, where the compositions, based on the total weight of the composition, contain less than 10% by weight of free MgSO.sub.4 in the form of the anhydrate or in the form of hydrates of magnesium sulfate and less than 10% by weight of unbound urea. The invention also relates to the production of the compositions and to the use thereof as fertilizers or fertilizer additive.
THIOETHER COMPOUNDS AS NITRIFICATION INHIBITORS
Provided herein are a use of thioether compounds of formula I as nitrification inhibitors, and agricultural mixtures and compositions including the thioether compounds.
HIGHLY CONCENTRATED PHOSPHORIC OR THIOPHOSPHORIC TRIAMIDE FORMULATION
The present disclosure relates to a novel highly concentrated phosphoric or thiophosphoric triamide formulation with enhanced stability against crystallization or freezing under extended exposure to low temperature of 0 C. or below. It also provides a method to make and use such formulations.
Liquid Formulations of Urease Inhibitors for Fertilizers
An improved solvent system for the formulation and application of N-alkyl thiophosphoric triamide urease inhibitors. These formulations provide safety and performance benefits relative to existing alternatives and enable storage, transport and subsequent coating or blending with urea based or organic based fertilizers. These formulations are comprised primarily of environmentally friendly aprotic and protic solvents (particularly dimethyl sulfoxide and alcohols/polyols) to stabilize the urease inhibitor.
Granular Urea Fertilizer with Nitrogen Stabilizer Additives
This invention relates to a urea granule with a nitrogen stabilizer and carrier system substantially homogenously dispersed throughout the granule thickness. Several methods are disclosed to make the urea granule, including prilling, fluidized bed, and drum granulation. The carrier system can comprise any solvent system that is both: (1) stable at urea melt temperatures of 120 C.; (2) able to solvate the nitrogen stabilizer system; and (3) miscible in molten urea. Such carrier systems can be blends of NMP and a glycol (e.g. propylene glycol). The nitrogen stabilizer can include a urease inhibitor, such as NBPT, where the NBPT purity can be between 90 and 99%. The nitrogen stabilizer can also include a nitrification inhibitor, such as DCD.
