FERTILIZER AND PLANT GROWTH PROMOTER TO INCREASE PLANT YIELD AND METHOD OF INCREASING PLANT YIELD
A slow release carbohydrate/bicarbonate/nitrogen fertilizer which includes: a nitrogen component selected from the group consisting of a urea compound, ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium sulfate and ammonium nitrate; a bicarbonate component selected from the group consisting of ammonium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate and sodium bicarbonate; and a soluble carbohydrate component selected from the group consisting of a starch and a sugar, wherein the fertilizer is applied to increase crop yield and increase protein levels in plant products by placing the aforesaid fertilizer beneath the surface of soil on which is growing cultivated plants.
Semi-humic organic carbon material and methods of use thereof
This disclosure relates to a semi-humic material, and compositions comprising the same, obtained from leonardite ore and a non-humic organic carbon source and a process for obtaining the same. Also described are methods for maintaining more available nitrogen and phosphorus in the plant root zone and minimizing premature leaching and loss of the nitrogen and/or phosphorus into the atmosphere, surface waters and/or subsurface ground water.
Compositions and Methods for Coating of Nitrification Inhibitors with a Solution Containing a High Concentration of Urease Inhibitors
The present invention relates to increasing and/or maintaining nitrogen content in soil by administration of granular or powdered nitrification inhibitors coated with urease inhibitors. In one embodiment, urease inhibitors are dispersed in an improved organo liquid delivery system at concentration levels of 50-90%. In another embodiment, urease inhibitors were applied in a non-aqueous, organo liquid delivery system coating solid nitrification inhibitors utilizing simple blending equipment at temperatures of 20-70 C. Another embodiment discloses a dry, flowable additive containing a nitrification inhibitor coated with a urease inhibitor which can be administered directly to the soil, to a dry natural and/or a manmade fertilizer or to a liquid fertilizer which provides for the reduction of nitrogen loss from the soil.
Efficiency of man-made and/or natural organic based animal manure fertilizers by liberating the bound nutrients (macro and micro) through the use of organic, non-aqueous liquid delivery formulations containing organic poly (organicacids) and/or their salts
The present invention relates to improving the efficacy of man-made and/or natural organic-based animal manure fertilizers by administration of an organic solvent formula containing polyorganic acids and/or their salts. The formulation liberates nutrient(s) that are normally bound in the soil as insoluble salts and complexes. These delivery formulations also provide an environmentally sound and inherently safe solvating system that improves diffusion of polyorganic acids to the granule fertilizer. These delivery formulations enable safe storage, transport and subsequent application or blending with solid or liquid fertilizers. The combined formulation and fertilizer can be applied to soil to provide improved efficacy of fertilizer by liberating nutrients bound in the soil for uptake by plant life.
Liquid formulations of urease inhibitors for fertilizers
An improved solvent system for the formulation and application of N-alkyl thiophosphoric triamide urease inhibitors. These formulations provide safety and performance benefits relative to existing alternatives and enable storage, transport and subsequent coating or blending with urea based or organic based fertilizers. These formulations are comprised primarily of environmentally friendly aprotic and protic solvents (particularly dimethyl sulfoxide and alcohols/polyols) to stabilize the urease inhibitor.
Compositions For Controlling Enzyme-Induced Urea Decomposition
Improved urease inhibitors comprise one or more polymers containing alkenylphenyl sulfonate repeat units, which may be applied to or mixed with a variety of urea-containing fertilizers in order to substantially prevent urea decomposition when applied to soil. The inhibitors may be in the form of homopolymers such as polystyrene sulfonate, or as copolymers containing alkenylphenyl sulfonate and other, different repeat units. The inhibitor polymers may be in free acid, partial salt, or complete salt forms, and are water soluble.
MICROBIAL INOCULANT COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
The present invention provides novel microbial inoculant compositions for uses in promoting plant growth, plant productivity and/or soil quality. The novel microbial inoculant compositions comprise one or more microbial species, one or more urease inhibitors and/or nitrification inhibitors. The present invention also provides fertilizer compositions comprising said microbial inoculant compositions.
REACTION PRODUCTS AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Reaction products and methods for making and using the same are provided. The reaction products particularly may include adducts of two or more reactants. The adducts particularly can incorporate a nitrification inhibitor, such as DCD. In particular embodiments, reaction products may be formed from the reaction of formaldehyde, DCD, urea, and an ammonia source. The adducts may be included in agricultural products, including fertilizer compositions and nitrification inhibitor systems. Fertilizer compositions including the adducts can be beneficial for reducing leaching of nitrification inhibitors applied to soil.
USE OF A CATION SOURCE TO PREVENT DECOMPOSITION OF (THIO)PHOSPHORIC ACID TRIAMIDE UREASE INHIBITORS WHEN A PHOSPHORUS-CONTAINING FERTILIZER IS PRESENT
A cation source to prevent decomposition of a (thio)phosphoric acid triamide is disclosed. A method for preventing decomposition of a (thio)phosphoric acid triamide by adding a cation source is disclosed. A mixture comprising a cation source and a (thio)phosphoric acid triamide is disclosed. A granule coated with a cation source and comprising a fertilizer is disclosed. A composition obtainable by specific processes and comprising a (thio)phosphoric acid triamide, a fertilizer mixture, and a cation source is disclosed.
SOLVENT SYSTEMS FOR DICYANDIAMIDE AND/OR ALKYL THIOPHOSPHORIC TRIAMIDE AND USE IN AGRICULTURAL APPLICATIONS
An inhibitor composition contains dicyandiamide as a nitrification inhibitor, alkyl thiophosphoric triamide as a urease inhibitor, or a combination thereof, dissolved in a liquid medium comprising an organic solvent selected from, among others, one or more polar aprotic solvents, including one or more organophosphates, amine solvents, heterocyclic alcohol solvents, and mixtures thereof, is useful in making fertilizer compositions and in a method of fertilizing target plants.
