Methods of selecting material compositions and designing materials having a target property
The disclosed technology relates to a method of selecting a material composition and/or designing an alloy. In one aspect, a method of selecting a composition of a material having a target property comprises receiving an input comprising thermodynamic phase data for a plurality of materials. The method additionally includes extracting from the thermodynamic phase data a plurality of thermodynamic quantities corresponding to each of the materials by a computing device. The extracted thermodynamic quantities are predetermined to have correlations to microstructures associated with physical properties of the material. The method additionally includes storing the extracted thermodynamic quantities in a computer-readable medium. The method further includes electronically mining the stored thermodynamic quantities using the computing device to rank at least a subset of the materials based on a comparison of at least a subset of the thermodynamic quantities that are correlated to the target property.
Feeding apparatus for animals
In an apparatus for feeding animals including one or more feed dispensing containers from which the animals can take feed which are fed by supply ducts from a supply a device is provided which includes a feed supply duct portion arranged such that the feed falls through the feed supply duct portion under gravity. A drive member is mounted at the duct and includes a plurality of paddle blades of a wheel mounted for rotation about an axis of the wheel such that falling feed in the duct acts to drive the blades to rotate the wheel about the axis and a driven component driven by the wheel. The driven component is in most cases a dispenser for feeding a liquid or particulate additive material from a supply cartridge, which is mounted on a common housing forming the duct and containing the wheel, to an injection opening on the bottom of the housing for addition to the feed passing through the duct portion.
Apparatus for treating and cooling foundry moulding sand
The present invention concerns an apparatus for treating and cooling foundry molding sand, comprising a mixing container and a mixing tool rotatable about a drive shaft, wherein there is provided an air feed for the feed of air into the container interior. To provide an improved apparatus with which a more uniform fluidized layer is produced as far as possible over the entire cross-section of the mixing container, wherein moreover the proportion of the solid particles entrained with the gas flow is to be reduced, it is proposed according to the invention that the mixing tool has at least two mixing vanes spaced from each other in the vertical direction and at least one mixing vane has a mixer blade with a surface which is inclined relative to the horizontal.
Molded product production system
A molded product production system includes at least two measuring feeders configured to simultaneously adjust an amount of a discharged powdery material to a target value and feed the powdery material, a mixer configured to mix at least two powdery materials fed from the measuring feeders to obtain mixed powdery materials, a filler configured to fill, with the mixed powdery materials obtained by the mixer, a die bore of a compression-molding machine configured to compress a powdery material to mold a molded product, a sensor configured to measure a mixing degree of the mixed powdery materials obtained by the mixer, and a controller configured to adjust an amount of at least one of the powdery materials fed by the measuring feeders, or motion speed of a mixing member configured to agitate powdery materials in the mixer in accordance with the mixing degree of the mixed powdery materials measured by the sensor.
Solid Component Mixing Apparatus and Associated Method
According to one embodiment a solid component mixing apparatus is provided that includes a mixing device, a first dosing device for supplying sand and a second dosing device for supplying a solid additive that are communicated with the mixing device. The mixing device includes a vertical mixing chamber with a rectangular cross-section, the contour of the chamber being formed by four side walls, such that two side walls opposite one another are wider than the other two walls. The chamber includes a first inlet communicated with the first dosing device and a second inlet communicated with the second dosing device, the second inlet being at a lower height than the first inlet, and the second inlet being arranged in one of the wider side walls of the chamber. Associated mixing methods are also provided.
Horizontal product distribution system using static baffles in a distributor
The present invention is directed to an applicator having an agricultural product mechanical and/or pneumatic conveying system which transfers particulate material from one or more source containers to application equipment on demand, and meters the material at the application equipment. The conveying system includes a static distributor interconnecting the supply lines of the conveying system with the distribution lines connected to the individual nozzles. The static distributor includes internal structures that effectively divert the incoming particulate material evenly across the interior of the static distributor such that the particulate material is evenly distributed into each of the distribution lines. The static distributor accomplishes this without the need for any moving parts or control systems/devices. In addition, damage done to the particulate material flowing through the distributor is not high, and the operation of the distributor creates a lower pressure drop across the distributor than prior art vertical distributors.
SYSTEM FOR LEVELING PARTICULATE MATERIAL
A particulate material leveling system includes an agitating system disposed within a storage tank for a particulate material. The agitating system includes a drive system and a shaft coupled to the drive system. Further, the drive system drives the shaft to rotate about a central axis. The agitating system also includes a wrapped wire coupled to the shaft. The wrapped wire extends around the shaft along a helical path in an axial direction and a circumferential direction, and the wrapped wire moves the particulate material in the axial direction in response to rotation of the shaft in a first direction about the central axis.
AUTOMATIC HEIGHT ADJUSTING ROBOT
An automatic height adjusting robot has a base frame, an L shaped lifting base assembly, a lifting frame, a hoist assembly, an automated mixing assembly, a power inlet, and a screw conveyor. The automatic height adjusting robot computes controlled volumetric ratios of dry chemicals while connected to a production well.

COMPOSITE PARTICLE MANUFACTURING DEVICE AND COMPOSITE PARTICLE MANUFACTURING METHOD
[Problem] To provide a device for manufacturing composite particles constructed by flow paths having relatively great widths and capable of controlling an adsorption ratio of particles, and to provide a method for manufacturing composite particles using this manufacturing device.
[Solution] A device for manufacturing composite particles includes at least one first inlet flow path (2) for supplying a first fluid, at least one second inlet flow path (3) for supplying a second fluid, and a mixing flow path (5) for merging the first fluid and the second fluid supplied respectively from the first inlet flow path and the second inlet flow path and allowing the two kinds of fluids to flow down for a predetermined length while mixing the two kinds of fluids. The mixing flow path is a continuous flow path and has a heterogeneous cross-sectional flow path area in a continuity direction thereof.
