Method for manufacturing molding hook and loop fastener
Provided is a molding hook and loop fastener, in which a barrier erected near left and right side edges of a substrate includes at least two rows of vertical wall arrays, and the vertical wall array includes a plurality of vertical walls disposed alternately. Between the two adjacent, rows of the vertical walls disposed alternately, each of the vertical walls disposed on one row is connected to two vertical walls disposed on the other row via a connecting part, and the connecting part connects one end portion of one vertical wall disposed on the adjacent row and the other end portion of the other vertical wall. Due to this, in the molding hook and loop fastener an outer side and an inner side of the barrier can be divided by the vertical wall array and the connecting part, and flexibility of the molding hook and loop fastener can be improved.
EXTRUSION DEVICE
In an embodiment, the present invention provides an extrusion device for producing a profile from plasticizable material, including at least one extruder head, in which the plasticized material can be supplied to a gap which is delimited by at least one roller and at least one bar that bears against a bearing surface in a predefined position via a fixing element in an operating position of the extrusion device. The fixing element includes a flat pressure-transmitting element which, in the operating position, can be placed against a pressure surface of the bar that is opposite the bearing surface, the pressure-transmitting element including a double-armed lever, which is pivotable about at least one axis, in order to compensate for a possible deviation from the predefined parallel orientation of the pressure-transmitting element with respect to the pressure surface of the bar.
Method of making polymeric multilayer films
Method of making a polymeric multilayer films (115) having an array of openings by coextrusion. Embodiments of polymeric multilayer films made as described herein are useful, for example, filtration and acoustic absorption.
METHOD OF FORMING AN ELASTOMERIC STRIP
A method for applying a strip of elastomeric material to a surface is described. The method of forming a strip of elastomeric material includes the steps of: pumping an elastomeric material through a nozzle, positioning an opening of a nozzle in mating engagement with a rotatable roller, rotating the roller so that rotation of the roller pulls the elastomer material through the outlet of the nozzle, forming a strip.
LONGITUDINAL BEAD MOLDING
An edge-beaded fastener product such as a cushion cover tie-down has a molded profile bead secured to and extending along a flexible strip adjacent a longitudinal edge of the strip. The profile bead has a shoulder or an inboard sidewall extending away from the strip, such as for retaining a clip or hog ring. The flexible strip may have a reinforced region, inboard of the shoulder, in which resin contiguous with resin forming the profile bead encapsulates surface features of the strip. The product is made by molding resin directly onto the strip. Multiple lanes of resin may be molded on a single substrate, which is severed to form individual strips with severed, exposed strip edges.
Apparatus for forming an elastomeric strip
An apparatus for applying a strip of elastomeric material to a surface, the apparatus comprising: a nozzle having an inlet in fluid communication with a pumping means, said nozzle having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein the lower surface has a curved shape for mating engagement with an outer surface of a rotatable roller, said lower surface having an opening positioned for engagement with the roller outer surface.
LONGITUDINALLY PLEATED PRODUCTS
A method of forming a continuous sheet of pleated, hook-form, fastener product includes training a substrate about a pressure roll having an outer surface defining circumferential grooves. As the substrate approaches a nip between the pressure roll and a mold roll calendered with the pressure roll, a portion of the substrate is disposed within a corresponding one of the grooves between the pressure roll and a stationary horn extending into the groove whereby a longitudinally-extending pleat is formed in the substrate. The pleated substrate is then passed through the nip where resin regions are laminated to a side of the substrate opposed to the pleat.
