The current invention utilizes an extrusion coating method as a key step in a series of multilayer construction processes to make a laminate for graphic application. The extrusion coated layer performs as a strengthening layer to provide mechanical properties for the construction, while an ink receptive coating layer delivers high quality printability performance. High gloss can be achieved through the use of a PET carrier.
PRODUCTION METHOD OF MICROPOROUS PLASTIC FILM
A method of producing a microporous plastic film is disclosed. The method achieves various characteristics such as strength while having an excellent appearance grade by using a wet stretching method. The method includes kneading a diluent and a polymer with an extruder to produce a kneaded polymer, discharging the kneaded polymer into a sheet, and stretching the sheet in a conveying direction of the sheet with a plurality of rollers. The diluent is applied to at least one of the rollers and the sheet while stretching the sheet.

There is disclosed a method capable of effectively suppressing deformation when a honeycomb formed body formed by horizontal extrusion is supported by a cradle, and supporting even a large honeycomb formed body so that cell wall buckling hardly occur and a high shape accuracy is kept, wherein the lowermost end of a supporting surface of the cradle is located below the lowermost end of the honeycomb formed body immediately after extruded through the die during the horizontal movement, and a distance in a vertical direction between the lowermost end of the honeycomb formed body immediately after extruded through the die and the lowermost end of the supporting surface of the cradle is from 5 to 15 mm during the horizontal movement when a honeycomb formed body extruded through a die in a horizontal direction by extrusion is supported by a cradle.

An extrudate transport apparatus comprises a free floating roller assembly, wherein the roller assembly controls a rotational pitch of a cylindrical green ceramic extrudate as the green ceramic extrudate moves longitudinally from a first location to a second location within the extrudate transport apparatus. The free floating roller assembly has a predetermined effective weight and comprises a contact roller having a deformable outer surface for frictionally contacting an outer surface of the green ceramic extrudate in motion adjacent thereto, while maintaining a constant contact force upon said green ceramic extrudate.

EXTRUDER SCREW, EXTRUDER AND EXTRUSION METHOD
According to one embodiment, an extruder screw includes a screw body. The screw body is rotated about an axis parallel to a direction of conveyance of a raw material. A conveyance portion having a flight is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the screw body. The flight is configured to convey the raw material along the axis of the screw body when the screw body is rotated. A passage for permitting the raw material fed by the flight to pass therethrough to the outer peripheral surface of the screw body is provided in the screw body in a position deviated from the axis of the screw body.
