STAND-UP PLASTIC STORAGE BAG

A storage bag includes first and second sidewalls each having a top edge, a top portion, and a bottom portion. The bottom portion of the first sidewall includes at least one shift region about which the bag is capable of shifting. The shift region includes a score line, an indentation, or a crimp formed into the first sidewall. The top portions of the sidewalls include a cuff line about which the bag is capable of shifting. The bag shifts between (i) a flat configuration with the sidewalls positioned adjacent to each other, and (ii) a stand-up configuration with the sidewalls separated from each other. In the stand-up configuration, the bag has a substantially flat base. The bag also can be shifted to a cuffed position with the bag being folded over the cuff line of each of the sidewalls such that the cuff region forms an opening to the bag.

SECURE SHOPPING BAG

A security handle for a bag that holds merchandise, a bag incorporating the handle and a method of using the same. A first handle section of the security handle is secured to a first wall of the bag. A second section of the handle is folded over an upper end of the bag and is secured to a second wall of the bag that is opposite the first wall. The handle thereby closes off access to an interior compartment defined by the bag, thereby securing merchandise within the interior compartment. The handle includes a selectively removable tamper-proof opener member positioned between the first and second handle sections. The opener member is removed after delivery of the bag to a customer to allow access to interior compartment of the bag. The opener member may be a pull tab that is integrally formed with the first and second handle sections.

A method (100) for making a flat bottom bag (800) with a valve (28) is provided. The method (100) includes overlapping and sealing the two longitudinal edges (11a and 11b) of a web (10) to form a continuous tube (12). The method includes cutting-off the continuous tube into tube pieces (14) in accordance with desired bag length such that each tube piece (14) has at least a first open end (18) and a second open end (22). The method (100) includes forming a first pair of flaps (F1, F2) and a second pair of flaps (F3, F4) on the first open end (18) and the second open end (22) respectively. The method (100) includes providing a valve (28) on the second pair of flaps (F3, F4) on the second open end (22). The method (100) includes folding and flattening both the pairs of flaps (F1, F2 and F3, F4) so that the edges of the flaps meet at the centre. The method (100) includes sealing a pre-cut cover patch (30) onto the folded and flattened pairs of flaps (F1, F2 and F3, F4) to close the open ends (18, 22).

PAPER BAG AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR A PAPER BAG

This invention relates to a paper bag for bulk material such as cement, gypsum, granular material, animal feed or the like, with a bottom and with an upper part opposite the bottom, wherein bottom and/or upper part are folded and glued by closing up the side parts around side fold lines, in particular in the form of a cross or block bottom, wherein for gluing the side parts at least one gluing or bonding agent activatable after the application is provided, which is applied continuously at least from a side fold line up to at least the opposite side fold line of the side parts.

Stand-up plastic storage bag

A storage bag shifts between a flat configuration with first and second sidewalls positioned adjacent to each other, and a stand-up configuration with the sidewalls separated. In the stand-up configuration, the bag has a substantially flat base (i) formed by the bottom portion of the first and second sidewalls, and (ii) outlined by at least one of the shift regions of the sidewalls. An angle is defined between each of (i) the first shift region of the first sidewall and an adjacent edge of the bag and (ii) the first shift region of the second sidewall and an adjacent edge of the bag, and (b) a differing angle is defined between each of (i) the second shift region of the first sidewall and a bottom edge of the bag and (ii) the second shift region of the second sidewall and the bottom edge of the bag.

Stand-up plastic storage bag

A storage bag includes a first sidewall having a top edge and a bottom edge, and a plurality of shift regions about which the bag is capable of shifting. At least one of the shift regions includes one of a score line, an indentation, and a crimp formed into the first sidewall, and extends a distance along the first sidewall starting from near the bottom edge of the first sidewall. A second sidewall is connected to the first sidewall so as to form an interior of the bag with an opening to the interior and having a top edge and a bottom edge. At least one of the shift regions of the first and second sidewalls extends across and intersects with another of the shift regions of the first and second sidewalls, to facilitate shifting of the bag. The bag shifts between a flat configuration, and a stand-up configuration.
