Supercritical fluid rolled or spooled material finishing
12084809 · 2024-09-10 · ·

Methods are directed to the use of a supercritical fluid for performing a dyeing of a material such that dye from a first material is used to dye a second material. A supercritical fluid is passed through a first material in a pressurized vessel. The supercritical fluid transports the dye from the first material to at least a second material causing a dye profile of the second material to change as a result of dye from the first material perfusing the second material.

Pressure sensitive labels for use in a cold transfer method and process for making

The present invention relates to a pressure sensitive label for use in a cold transfer process that can be used for garment identification and labeling. The pressure sensitive label can be applied on textile surface or any other surfaces for which heat transfer is unfavorable or unavailable. The pressure sensitive label can remain on the substrate to which it is attached through repeated washing and drying cycles.

STAIN-RESISTANT SYNTHETIC LEATHER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

Provided a stain-resistant synthetic leather, including: (a) a polyurethane synthetic leather; (b) a silane-based coating layer formed on the polyurethane synthetic leather; and (c) a silicone coating layer formed on the silane-based coating layer, wherein the silane-based layer strengthens the binding between the polyurethane synthetic leather and the silicone coating layer, so that the stain-resistant synthetic leather can exhibit texture and flexibility of natural leather per se, and can exhibit excellent water resistance, stain resistance, weather resistance, and wear resistance through the silane-based coating layer and silicone coating layer formed on the polyurethane synthetic leather.

Applique to provide a design on a fabric

An appliqu of the invention comprises a disposable carrier film onto which a release layer and PU inks are printed using layering techniques. The ink layers can be multicolored and each color is applied sequentially using a conventional screen-printing method. A back-up, a lacquer layer, and an adhesive layer are printed in sequence over the ink layers. The ink includes reflective particles providing the optical effect of a 3-dimensional appliqu. The artwork is created by overlapping design layers to controlled specification sequences. The ink, because of the additives, creates a desired color tone, and this may be enhanced by layering of the ink in an overlapping region. Thus, there are three main regions, namely a central region with reflective ink, a shoulder region with overlapping matt and reflective inks and an outer region with only matt ink.

Kits and methods are provided for color customization of articles by applying ink to regions of decreased pigment density. By creating tension over these regions during application of the ink, the ink may be preferentially transferred to those regions.

Anhydrous fiber-dyeing apparatus and method using vacuum transfer, and fiber manufactured by dyeing method

An anhydrous fiber-dyeing apparatus using vacuum transfer, includes: a hollow drum in which a plurality of fine holes are formed to penetrate therethrough, and a fiber to be dyed are wound around an outer surface thereof; a transfer film covering the outer surface of the fiber wound around the drum and having an inner side surface coated with a dye; heating means heating the fiber wound around the drum; and a vacuum means suctioning air through an inner space of the drum to form a vacuum pressure through the fine holes of the drum.

IMAGE TRANSFER MATERIAL AND POLYMER COMPOSITION

Provided is an image transfer material, comprising a support, optionally at least one barrier layer, a melt transfer layer, and an image receiving layer. Also provided is a process for preparing the image transfer material. Further provided is a heat transfer process using the disclosed material. In the heat transfer process, after imaging, the image receiving layer and melt transfer layer are peeled away from the optionally barrier-coated support material and placed, preferably image side up, on top of a receptor element. A non-stick sheet is then optionally placed over the imaged peeled material and heat is applied to the top of the optional non stick sheet. The melt transfer layer then melts and adheres the image to the receptor element. A composition comprising: at least one self-crosslinking polymer, and at least one dye retention aid.
