METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RADIO WAVE ABSORBER, RADIO WAVE ABSORBER, AND RADIO WAVE ABSORBING ARTICLE
Provided are a method for manufacturing a radio wave absorber, the method including three-dimensionally modeling a composition containing one or more kinds of particles selected from the group consisting of magnetic particles and dielectric particles, and a binder, with a three-dimensional printer, in which an aspect ratio of the particles is 3.0 or less, a radio wave absorber including magnetic particles, and a binder, in which among squareness ratios measured for each of predetermined seven directions of the radio wave absorber, a maximum value is defined as SQ.sub.max, a minimum value is defined as SQ.sub.min, and a ratio (SQ.sub.max/SQ.sub.min) of SQ.sub.max to SQ.sub.min is less than 1.35, and a radio wave absorbing article including the radio wave absorber.
Extrusion molding die and extrusion molding machine
An extrusion molding die includes a pair of die bodies, the die bodies have: a pair of lip portions arranged so as to face each other to form a slit port; and a pair of introduction portions arranged so as to face each other to form an introduction port. One die body is a coat hanger die having at least one thickness adjustment mechanism, and the other die body is a fishtail die.
Polyesters, polymer compositions, and methods of using thereof
Provided herein are polyesters that comprise (i) monomer units derived from sugar-based bicyclic diol; (ii) monomer units derived from an unsaturated aliphatic diacid; and (iii) monomer units derived from a saturated aliphatic diacid. The monomer units derived from the ethylenically unsaturated aliphatic diacid can be present in an amount of from greater than 0 mole % to 40 mole % of the polyester. These polyesters can be formed into articles using additive manufacturing methods. The resulting articles can be biocompatible, resorbable over a span of from 3 months to 12 months following implantation in the human body, and can exhibit desirable mechanical properties for applications, including porosity and elasticity.
Biobased, biodegradable compositions for making articles
Disclosed herein are compositions for injection molding and articles made therefrom, the compositions and articles comprising at least one hydrocolloid, at least one plasticizer, at least one filler, at least one CAN crosslinker, and optionally at least one flowing agent. Typically, the components are derived from biological sources, such as seaweed, plants, or animals. Typically, the components are made from biodegradable materials, making the compositions and articles compostable. The compositions are used to form the articles by injection molding, such as single-use food service industry products, and the articles have desirable flexibility, tensile strength, and water resistance.
EXPANDED POLYPROPYLENE FOAM TRAY
In one aspect, a method for forming a foamable polypropylene extrusion mixture includes providing a polypropylene resin and blending a nucleating agent, a polymer stabilizer, and a physical blowing agent with the polypropylene resin. In another aspect, a method for forming a foamable polypropylene extrusion mixture includes providing a polypropylene resin and blending a nucleating agent, a polymer stabilizer, a physical blowing agent, and a chemical foaming agent with the polypropylene resin. In further aspects, a foamable polypropylene extrusion mixture and foam articles are provided. The foamable polypropylene extrusion mixtures are extrudable to form a polypropylene foam sheet or web which is thermoformable to produce a polypropylene foam packaging tray having superior rigidity and puncture resistance.
Fluoropolymer free polymer processing aids
A polymer processing aid (PPA) reduces melt defects in extruded polyolefins in the absence of fluoropolymers. The polymer processing aid comprises a polyalkylene glycol such as a polyethylene glycol together with a high pressure low density polyethylene (LDPE) and reduces melt defects well in a thermoplastic polyolefin such as a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE).
